Who is the worst franchise QB in the NFL?
GunnerBill replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dak Prescott is a way better Quarterback than Kyler Murray. The comparison is so ridiculous it isn't close. -

Mass media can dish it out, but can't take it?

lol, Joe Rogan is what this is about?? nuff said. -
I called this that day almost immediately. This adds another layer re Iran: Elon had to go back to the private sector, and did not want to seem like he was affiliated with the up and coming military operations, which would be understandably bad for business. Elon had to distance himself from the administration for optics purposes. I believe Trump, and his team, knew that they were going to strike Iran, and staged the feud to create the illusion of distance between Elon and Trump, so Elon could make a smooth transition to the private sector. Elon has been EXTREMELY quiet throughout this entire “12 Day War” and military operation. It’s not an accident. He is distancing himself from the situation, and rightfully so. Trump and Elon knew this was coming. Cheeky bastards!

To the bolded, I said "arbitrary and incomplete" the criticism being that PFF doesn't use the same criteria for each team. If I put my Instructor hat on and the PFF piece was submitted to me by a student, it would be a failing grade. Like I said before, there are posters here who provide well-researched, well-reasoned, and exceptionally good content here every day. Funny (and sad) how commercial enterprises can be outperformed by amateurs. Probably, and it underscores what more and more people are understanding which is that not all AI content is created equal.

Mass media can dish it out, but can't take it?
BullBuchanan replied to kitchen sink's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ah yes, the good old days when the news men always told you nothing but the facts. It's been a business going back to Ancient Greece and beyond my man. The key to separating fact from fiction in the news is media literacy. Those DBQ's they made us do in Elementary social studies turned out to be pretty important after all. -

What would of the Sumerians done if instead of studying math, and the universe, and inventing written word, they instead watched TV? imagine if Olmecs had TV? imagine if the Aztecs watched TV instead of the stars? if ancient Egyptians watched trash TV instead of being brilliant? Idiocracy was fairly spot on. Humanity is Regressing, not Progressing -

It’s called an Idiot Box for a reason. And that was 50 years before trash TV -

BTW- if you have ever watched MTC on NFLR, Pat Kirwan and I believe he consulted with Bill Cowher, there are a series of two books and audio books titled, First Take You’re Eye Off the Ball. My middle son loved the reads as he coaches. They are very helpful for really understanding football intricacies. -
Supreme Court went off today… Monumental day of rulings. Obviously, if you’re a conservative, you love it. If you’re a Trump hater and/or progressive, this is tantamount to another judicial D-Day.

100%! I grew up with 3 newspapers a day. But now, haven't watched any news unless I'm stuck in an airport or a restaurant. Am I ignorant about many news items? Yes Am I less stressed and irritated? Yes I'm not embarrassed that this board is the most I read by far for news than anything else. When I feel the need I go find the news I want & commenters often can provide intelligent feedback & research. I will be using that Denzel quote. That's right up there with Morgan Freemans interview with Mike Wallace. -

I actually do look at Reuters for sure... AP and USA Today less frequently.. I guess my point is I feel like I need to read it all to get some level of remote understanding.. its a crime really... Never thought I would say I missed Peter Jennings and Tom Brokaw... Walter Cronkite... -
Pegula Divests from Knight Hawks after pulling out of Rochester Lease
Mango replied to Mango's topic in The Stadium Wall
To the bolded. LOL. No they don't. There is no legal requirement to name a nor a secretary. Not in NYS, not in FL, and not by the NFL. You are just throwing short at the wall and hoping something sticks. In my time working for and with multi-billion dollar brands there are a lot less brands that take a (relegated to) marketing executive and have them not only sit in meetings for hirings well outside of their field of expertise or department, but give their voice significant weight. But sure, maybe the bazillion start ups that try and stupidly emulate google far outweigh that. We have not yet seen Pegula organize people in a way that breeds success. We have seen McBeane do it, and that includes also controlling Pegula. But when given (taking?) full control Ter-Bear has yet to show the ability to do that at scale. Even if your point were true (which again, it is not. It is blatantly false), there is zero reason why a figure head President relgated to marketing should be present in the hiring of football ops unless 1. they aren't just a figure head and/or 2. their opinion carried significant weight however unqualified/undeserving to give it. -
