  2. Thumbs up for the Barry Goldberg appearance
  3. F Joey Bosa's bday - its my bday, I own the 11th. I was born before him, and on Americas Bi-Centienial...there are quarters commemorating my birth year - he is lucky I let him share it.
  4. Angsty, long-haired, sweaty-shirt, demonic eyed era Eddie, standing on his chair and scrawling political messages on his arm in Sharpie, climbing rafters 100 feet in the air and swinging out over the crowd... What a force he was in those years!
  5. Awesome story and spot on, its an incredible event to meet people like Josh. Its loaded with celebrities, athletes (past and present), etc who all are all regulars annually and they genuinely love the event which is cool. All kinds of podcasts were going on the past few weeks where they would mention "Tahoe" and its this tourney they are all talking about. And they ALL want to win it which is cool. Alphonso Ribeira (Carlton from Fresh Prince) was in the casino floor bar singing with the house band for at least an hour I saw with big crowds around him. Funny thing is Alphonso got pissed at me like 20 years ago while we were playing Pinball at a friends house when I asked him about the train on "Silver Spoons". He was mad I would even mention Silver Spoons, and I was like dude it started your career you should be happy anyone even remembers you were on the show lol. That aside, he was rocking the casino bar and told some funny stories in between songs too about the tourney and stuff.
  6. We forgive you ( kidding) she does that to allot of people. Loved this unplugged version of Black.
  7. i hope doesn't puncture a lung blowing out his candles.
  8. Awesome story - and Happy Birthday! Your comments about his Mom made me think of my son meeting his family at TC one year. My Dad, son and I were sitting in the VIP section of the bleachers at TC (when there used to be such a thing) and we noticed that some members of Josh's family were sitting a few rows down - his Mom, Dad, sister, grandmother (not Patricia, the other one), and Britt. We had brought the pic in my avatar, which was from a previous TC Josh's rookie year (my Dad and son in photo) hoping to get near him again and see if he would sign it (we tried to play the old man card later - propping my Dad up by the fence waving the pic, but alas Josh did only sign for kids that day, and not old men) As a joke I told my son he should go down and get Josh's family to sign the picture, not thinking he would do it - but sure enough my son popped up and went right down and struck up a conversation with them about the picture, and how we were going to try to get Josh to sign it later - maybe they all could too? Instead of acting put off by this kid coming out of nowhere with this goofy request - they all just good-naturedly went along with. Especially his Mom and Dad struck up a conversation with him for a few minutes, talking and joking with him. I came away with such a good impression of his family from that brief encounter - just seemed like such genuine, good, down to earth people. Below is a pic of them on the field after practice that day with Josh - and their sigs on the back of the pic
  9. Genius surprised that a guy from an English speaking country speaks English: “Well, thank you. It’s such good English, such beautiful — Where did you, where did you learn to speak so beautifully? Where — were you educated? Where?” Yes, sir. “In Liberia?” Yes, sir. “Well, that’s very interesting. That’s beautiful English. I have people at this table can’t speak nearly as well. They come from —” (link) You would think that somebody on his staff would have been aware of Liberia's history and could have briefed him ahead of time (you know Stephen Miller is very interested in a country like Liberia). BBC dunking on Trump
  10. At the end of camp/pre season, I judge the talent of the team, to some extent, on who they cut vs. who they kept last year. Hamlin is the guy I've been waiting for to be released. Great guy. Great story, but always behind the play and not a difference maker in any way. I get that he fulfills a trusted role, but if we want this defense to stand out, I would be more confident in someone who shows more.
  11. All the people trying to to shoe this new guy into a starting spot are hysterical. But three significant things happened people refuse to understand. 1. Hamlin was a FA. They brought him back. 2. The Bills did not address S with a meaningful pick expected to make immediate impact 3. Despite there being a lot of really good options in FA, they brought in a guy that, if he makes the team will likely be for STs. Add that all up and that tells me they are happier with Hamlin than fans are. Honestly, while I do believe that position needed an upgrade...Rapp is just as big of a liability (if not more) than Hamlin IMO.
  12. Romo tried that, but I don't know he had enough hand talent.
  13. This is an interesting point. He played his college ball down south. Now in as perfect weather environment as possible in LA. Id say Ladd has overlap with Shakir but so does Keon if his power slot advocates are correct. Really comes down to Ladd vs Worthy vs Keon vs Legette. I think we’ll have a much clearer picture of this after the upcoming season. Its just hard to see the vision for him given we have a QB who likes to see separation before he throws it and Keon’s game will likely never really be that.
  14. This is your admission that you spoke falsely when you said “most grocery items”. Happens a lot.
  15. I'm not ashamed to admit I've become a bit of a Swiftie in the past calendar year. Okay, that's a lie. I've become a HUGE Swiftie in the past calendar year. And this is coming from a guy whose all time favorites are the Grateful Dead, the Beatles, Dylan, and Pearl Jam. What can I say? This lady writes clever, singular, brilliant, beautiful music. This collaboration with Bon Iver is dope. Made all the more impactful in that it was recorded at the height of the pandemic, and the musicians couldn't be in the same room together.
  16. These beautiful throwbacks died when they went from Reebok to Nike jerseys
  17. He’s wrong but appreciate his concerns and he’s entitled to his opinion. Worth noting: “I want him to stop the wars. He’s funding them. I want him to shrink spending, reduce the budget. He’s increasing it. It’s like everything that he said he’s going to do, except sending immigrants back and now he’s even flip-flopped on that,” he added. Sounds like a guy itching to vote for the Socialist party. Lol. Welcome to the MAGA party Andrew. Also worth noting, every day isn’t election season despite how hard Democrats want to believe that. Especially with a guy that can’t run again it’s hilarious.
  18. It would be great if they could wear those at some point this season too. The white 64-65 throwback didn’t get officially dropped, they just stopped wearing them a few years ago. And just to note on the helmet announcement… because the regular jersey set is somewhat similar they may decide to simply wear the red helmet with them, rather than doing a full Kelly-era throwback set. The league announced this offseason that teams are allowed to have 3, or in a couple of possible cases, up to 4 different helmet shells / colors and that an alt helmet can now be paired with a primary jersey set. We’ll see if any of this comes to pass.
  19. They are a tax on producers - who still need to sell you stuff at a price you’re willing to pay. They could be an indirect tax on consumers - who can just choose to buy something else. In 2025, options aplenty.
  20. No thanks, I’m not playing this game you like to use to deflect. Tariffs are taxes on consumers. T’was always thus, and always thus shall be.
