Seems like a guy that thrives on short passing game and I can see why Seahawks wanted him bc he compliments Geno's dink and dunk passing, but i think the bottom line is he just isnt that good of a receiver. Just like Percy Harvin he just isnt a great route runner and that matters a lot in the NFL (I know different types of players -Harvin was incredible once he got the ball but was rarely healthy). Sure they could use him in a variety of ways but there are other guys on the team good enough for that role.

You know, I've been getting headaches! Thing is, my cardigan was a hand-me-down from a dearly-departed family member so I cant just get rid of it... maybe I'll put it in a garment bag and see what happens...

The ankle injury is that bad?

I'm not the one who's depressed

Good take I just hope the only reason Coleman looks good is not because he is beating White and Bishop all over the field. Dude. Relax. Its just a message board. Its not life and death.

And how can you mend a broken heart? How can you stop the rain falling down? Tell me how can you stop the sun from shining? What makes the world go 'round?
-
Dude. It's practice. And not only is it practice... It's a rookie's first week of practice, trying to defend the world's best QB while he's wearing red.
-
It's reasonable to expect the rookie to get picked on with benford on the other side. He's got all the God given talent to be good. Just gonna take his lumps for a bit
-
Liked most of what you said but benford has played 15 games the past two seasons. It’s just that he’s missed the elimination game every year. I wouldn’t consider him injury prone (not what you said but what you implied).

Hey as long as one of them can perform better than Rasul Douglas last year, which is a low bar, I'm good with that. Any improvement from that spot combined with what should be almost automatic improvement from the DL is still a positive step forward. As with any training camp a positive rep for the offense is a negative rep for the defense and vice versa. So in one light you have the CB2 getting beat somewhat regularly, while in another light you have Allen looking as sharp as ever with guys like Coleman and Palmer and Moore getting open from outside alignments. I'd much rather Coleman be looking good right now than White or even Hairston, because his play will be more critical to his side of the ball than the CB2's will be to theirs IMO.

The Browns haven’t been practicing? Day off for massages? Too soon?

I'm shocked. Usually, this place is the epitome of rationalism.

It is strange that after he was traded to Carolina and then in Seattle and LA he was hardly ever used. But when he was, he pretty much caught everything thrown at him. He will be interesting to watch during the summer. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/ShenLa00.htm

Cronyism in the NFL is a tale as old as time. LaFleur has an OC and he doesn’t want to bad PR of bringing Hackett on the offensive after his disastrous stints since leaving Green Bay. So he hires him to coach offense under the guises “defense” to rebuild his reputation.

Does Antoine Winfield Sr. ring a bell to anyone here? It's not that ancient. Drafted by the Bills 1st round (23rd overall) 1999. Played 14 seasons with 3 pro-bowls. He did not start as a rookie until someone injured in December. I still remember his interview before that start (against Colts) that "this week, my teamates are counting on me." He went on to intercept Payton Manning in the game. I feel Hairston is likely to get the same treatment. But I think his chance to start sooner than December is very high. Benford has a well documented injury history in NFL. White is getting back to be full-time starter since ...

I wanted Shenault so bad back in 2020 and thought he could be the ultimate “gadget guy.” His first two years were pretty good but he fell off a freaking cliff once he was traded to Carolina. It’s crazy how much can change in 5 seasons

Like most Bills fans I wish the best for Elam. But I feel like there’s been a lot of overreacting over this INT which was a horrendous throw.
-
Yeah not making sweeping judgments, that is just the current state of the CB2 job on day 4. I really liked Hairston as a prospect and other than QB it might be the toughest position for a rookie to learn.

Any player who is not signed to a roster can choose any practice squad spot they are offered at that point (typically will be with the team they've been with, but sometimes they will choose a team they feel they have a better shot at making.) Waivers don't apply to vested vets, but also don't apply to practice squads. A team can't claim a player on waivers and put them on the practice squad, they'd have to go to the active roster. Also, once signed to a team's practice squad, they can't jump to another team's practice squad, only to the active roster (and I think they have to be held on the active roster for at least three weeks.)
