  1. Past hour
  2. The point of the conversation is that the last guy is supposed to be legit and a franchise QB.
  3. That's a good question. But to get there you have to decide how many true franchise QBs there are. I mean how many guys would you say "here is a player you could take and build a team around and him being on the field will get you X amount of extra wins"? Obviously Mahomes, Allen, Jackson and Burrow. Then some of the younger guys possibly who still aren't fully proven like Bo and Daniels. But there are plenty of guys with franchise QB contracts I don't consider true franchise QBs. A few older vets like Stafford. Dak to me is the one that comes to mind. Plenty of people love him, and when he's on he's great but so often I see him and think he's pretty pedestrian. Goff has been great the last few years but is he really a franchise QB? I love Baker and defended him a lot here when people were writing him off but again, not sure he's true franchise QB material.
  4. Baker Mayfield? He is a legit QB. He doesn't belong with those others.
  5. Baker has been awesome, but I don't think it's a slight or unfair to say that QB's worse than him aren't worth paying/aren't franchise. Heck, Baker took 19th best QB in the NFL money just last year. You can be better than Derek Carr or Andy Dalton and still be the last of the franchise QBs. It just means the tide has risen imo. Darnold feels like he's not it because his career is filled with very bad years. He's more of a 1 year wonder than a franchise QB at this point imo.
  6. Man, that’s not fair to Baker. He’s coming off 4,500 yards and 41 TDs. He had 4,000 and 28 TDs the prior year. Him being suggested makes me uncomfortable. To answer the question, I think Tua, Lawrence and Darnold are the guys that would qualify. It’s tough to want to move on from them but you don’t win because of them IMO.
  7. Dak for sure with that contract
  8. It is surprising to me how many people feel the need to defend billionaire owners.
  9. It’s always the ones you most suspect.
  10. Those accusations were unfounded, so this is a nothing burger.
  11. Well, Knox has been for several years, and Kinkaid is still rehabbing his two knee injuries. I’d rather have him a full participant at camp amd more healthy.
  12. @PromoTheRobot isn't sure Joey Bosa has signed with the Bills, he hasn't seen the contract himself yet. He's waiting for more evidence.
  13. It has been a topic for three straight years after they win. He just sends in a short statement. Bandits threads generally devolve into laughing that they are happy not to have him him around because he struggles with the Sabres. The comments are littered with stuff like "Keep the bad juju away, we are doing fine without him". I am not sure what proof you are looking for? Like a picture of him holding the days paper at his house in Florida, with that days 10pm news on in the background?
  14. I always find this discussion really interesting. Most fans of the NFL agree with their top 5-10 QB's, in varying orders. We also all agree largely on the guys who stink or are just unknown. But who is the new Andy Dalton or Derek Carr in the NFL? The guy who is the "last' of the franchise QBs. IMO, some of the contenders are: Geno Purdy Tua Baker Lawrence
  15. I have been saying it constantly for 7 years we have good players on defense. That’s why it’s so frustrating. It’s 100% the scheme. Wade Phillips would have had our defense top 3 and dominating teams in the playoffs. A good defensive coaching scheme we’d have a ring already. This IS the problem
  16. They absolutely did. From day 1. The crazy racist POS lunatics had been completely marginalized in this country - if they ever had any influence at all that hindered ANYONE from making it in this country. We were a true post racial America. WE ELECTED AN UNKNOWN BLACK MAN NAMED OBAMA PRESIDENT 7 YEARS AFTER 9/11. There was NOTHING that needed “calling out” at all. Nothing. Unless your goal was zero cases of racism - much like Covid that’s just not possible. But shocker that’s what the left “wants.” It’s great for their political aspirations. Racism is always there! It is. But it’s among white elitist liberals especially the women. The most racist people on earth. So Obama turned the obscure into “oh it’s all institutional you see.” There is complicit bias and that devolved into literally everyone is racist. He was an absolute disaster. He set this country back years. But Trump’s win has swung us back to normalcy. Sorry if that offends you. I’m sure it does.
  17. And would have beat SanDiego if Fergy wasn't playing on one leg
  18. if he went in… ”YIKES!”
  19. Thats exactly the comparison we are making.
