The Worthy Trade Keeps Looking Worse and Worse

Everyone eats! Ever since we had to force feed Diggs to keep him happy, the Coaches decide to not play that game anymore! -
I often get the impression that McDermott is not completely comfortable in public speaking scenarios where he’s forced to be ‘on stage’. Facing the media he frequently has nervous itches he has to scratch when fielding questions he may not want to be totally candid with. Addressing the team in post-game there’s a lot of congratulations being punctuated with ‘man’ to put a bow on it. This isn’t a knock on the coach. Just an observation and belief he’s probably more at ease in one on one situations…man.

Jackson deserves to fall for faking an injury to get out of the game.

By the way, who is getting this Mormon Church attack thing right, without idle speculation about What It All Means and Is It Trump or Anti-Trump? The mainstream media. NYT: Federal investigators are searching homes connected with the man who the police say killed at least four people over the weekend in an attack on a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meeting house in Michigan, and are seeking clues to the attacker’s motive, the White House press secretary said on Monday. WSJ goes even more bland: The suspect, who died, is Thomas Jacob Sanford, 40 years old, from the nearby city of Burton, Mich., police said. A Marine Corps spokesman said Sanford served from 2004 to 2008, deploying to Iraq in 2007 and 2008, and had the rank of sergeant. He had longstanding ties to the area, and according to public records was married to a woman named Tella. They had a young son. Bland can be good.

Might as well keep a thread going, even though it is early for the MVP race after a quarter of the season basically done now, Allen is the front runner and took a bigger lead over everyone after yesterday based on the betting odds. I can update it each week as the year goes on. Assuming Allen stays in it. Josh Allen -105 Just Herbert +600 Patrick Mahomes +850 Lamar Jackson +900 Jordan Love +1000 Matthew Stafford +1600 also as an aside, James Cook is listed in 6th place for offensive player of the year at +1,600

Yup. We need more discipline because coaching isn't going to get better

Ravens at Chiefs - who do you want to have their third loss?
NewEra replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
They do look done. But like every season, the season is divided into a few chapters. Clutch plays, Injuries, turnovers, bad coaching, play calling/execution, momentum or lack therof of each play the biggest roles in each chapter. While deck is stacked against them to win the division I think they will make the playoffs as long as they don’t suffer any more key injuries. I imagine that playing the lions and chiefs with all backups on the DL (among many other injuries) would be challenging to overcome. If they can get healthy and stay healthy and make some adjustments to the D (which they did last season) the WC is within their grasp. Winning the division is within their grasp if a certain 41 year old QB gets injured (and potentially even if he remains healthy). We definitely need to get better. Especially on D. They really miss Ed. Adding he, Milano, Hoecht, (potentially) max and Ogunjobi should help. If bishop continues to improve and Rapp can play like he did last season the back end might be able to hold up and give us more flexibility with defensive play calls. We just have to stay healthy (enough). We can’t afford lose Benford in yet another season ending defeat. I don’t think Mahomes would be undefeated vs Josh in the playoffs if he had played both of those games lots can change on a dime. We were dead to rights in the 2023 regular season. On the outside looking in nov 26th, losing 3 of 4 and multiple games out of the division lead AND wild card. We ended up hosting KC in the playoffs as the 2 seed -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW – At the One-Quarter Mark

Not sure we know too much about the Bills yet. They've played three of the worst teams in the NFL, and needed a miracle to beat the one decent team they've played, which just fell to 1-3. -

Oh come on. Like this is anything close to an honest attempt at a discussion. -
Ty Johnson has 8 carries this season, Ray Davis has 11. I don't think that sample size is sufficient to say that they're doing good or bad. I'm not ready to hit the panic button yet. I agree that it's great to see Cook tearing it up, but we all want him to have some gas left in the tank in the post season. It would be nice to see Ty and Ray getting more touches.

Polling is almost totally useless all around. Ever since the cell phone revolution. I mean, who the hell picks up calls from numbers they do't know anymore?

Yeah agreed. You’re not gonna find unstoppable juggernauts in today’s NFL. Any team can be beaten. KC was a great value bet this weekend. -

Also, Josh McDaniel is simply better coordinator than Babich. That concerns me. Obviously, I’m not saying the Bills will lose. But I don’t think this will be an easy game. NE outplayed Pittsburgh, largely, and destroyed Carolina. They are clearly improving. -
Evaulation (of this team) after a quarter of season gone

Im just hoping that if the defense keeps playing like crap during the season they are going to turn it ON for the playoffs and not like the last few years where they turn it OFF during the playoffs.
