You could get bed bugs in a very nice hotel. My wife got them at a Westin (luckily she noticed them while she was there and got the hotel to comp her stay, pay for her clothing to be treated, and provided additional comp to not write a review) and I had a friend get them at a Hilton (same in that they were able to see it while they were staying and not have it be something they took home). The scary thing about bed bugs is just how pervasive they can be even if you are insanely clean and well maintained. All it takes is one traveler having them and your hotel could get infested. That being said I am willing to pay a bit of a premium to stay at a better hotel if it is cleaner, but no matter how nice a hotel is I will always bring a black light to check for bed bugs...

I haven't seen it discussed, and clock management is always something I watch closely: I thought Harbaugh would have been better suited to wait about 10 seconds before using his final timeout prior to 3rd Down. The Bills snapped the ball on 3rd Down with :33 making it an easy decision to take a knee as the Bills had about :25 to get the FG unit aligned. If Harbaugh had waited until ~:23 to call TO prior to 3rd Down, that makes a very difficult call for Sean to rush the FG unit out with no TO's left or kick on 3rd Down. If he kicks on 3rd Down, Ravens would receive the kickoff with ~:19 to play. If Bills take a knee there, they only have about :15 to sub and kick on the fly which is really pushing it. I did see some idiot (can't remember who) suggesting the Bills kick on 3rd Down as it was which would have given the Ravens ~:29 to kick the GWFG and would have had people justifiably calling for McD's head. I also thought McD did a fantastic job at the end of both halves managing the clock...hopefully that continues as the QB play and parity make these late-half situations so important.

They didn’t break on Sunday- this D is not getting nearly enough credit for their 4th quarter performance. Late game fatigue tends to favor the offense, and yet even after getting embarrassed for three quarters, this D forced two punts and a fumble to give Josh a chance. They bent a lot for three quarters but definitely did not break.

Hoping Joe Brady starts to open it up earlier in the game and lets Josh sling it. I feel this is 4 games in a row now going back to the 3 playoff games last season where the bills offence has been conservative

The 2nd Circuit has just ruled that Vermont must allow Mid Vermont Christian School back into the state’s athletic association—ending two years of exile over their religious belief that boys can’t become girls. Mid Vermont’s student athletes were banned from competition in 2023 after they followed their religious convictions, forfeiting a state tournament game which would have pitted their girls’ high school team against a male athlete who was over 6 feet tall. Shortly afterward, @ADFLegal helped them sue Vermont in federal court. Now the 2nd Circuit has ruled in their favor, citing Masterpiece Cakeshop—ADF’s well-known 2018 case on behalf of Colorado cake artist Jack Phillips. Similar to Masterpiece, the court here found that the Vermont Principals’ Association (VPA) likely violated the First Amendment by demonstrating impermissible hostility toward the school’s religious beliefs. For example, the VPA openly “attacked the validity” of the school’s religious beliefs, insisting that the girls should have been able to compete against a male athlete because Brigham Young University athletes don’t endorse Catholicism when they play against Notre Dame. That statement fundamentally misunderstands Mid Vermont’s religious beliefs. And as the 2nd Circuit correctly held, “the VPA may not impose discipline based on its view that Mid Vermont’s religious objection was ‘wrong.’” Even worse, a VPA official publicly denigrated the school’s religious convictions, calling them “blatant discrimination under the guise of religious freedom.” That official “publicly castigated Mid Vermont—and religious schools generally—while the VPA rushed to judgment on whether and how to discipline the school.” And the punishment the VPA imposed on the school—permanently banning all the school’s sports teams from the athletic association—was “unprecedented, overbroad, and procedurally irregular.” Today’s ruling stands as a rebuke to Vermont officials’ religious intolerance—and a vindication of Mid Vermont’s courage. Redskins stadium or RFK , Meadow lands, it's crazy that they build these and then they sit empty . There is a documentary of these guys that go around and almost break into these ld stadiums and check them out it's pretty cool and some are still in really good shape and very easily could be retro'd to fit new tech and still be used .

If you are looking to stay downtown and like Whisky down the road is the Lucky Day whisky bar... You should also try Riverworks , down town for WIngs is Gabriel's Gate and the anchor bar.... if you like Oysters, Clams etc... great stuff at Streetlight next to the GoldDome Building you can take the train down to Southerntier Brewing Company by the arena great Big Screen sports bar environment.... and right in the Curtis Chez Ami and the rotating bar are nice as is the rooftop bar... there is also a casino downtown and Canalside is nice to visit as well...

I think it bears mentioning about the D that two guys are suspended and two corners are/were hurt for this game. The D still managed to make a few plays here and there and came up big in the 4th quarter. Getting off the field twice and forcing the turnover was just as huge as Josh being Josh IMO. There is no comeback without that.

Not sure what the schedule looks like but I would look into doing a tour of Highmark Stadium if they have any going on when your in town. If you do that grab some wings at Big Tree Inn next to the stadium

The hope would be Bishop evolves into a better starter, the defensive line can rotate even more with those two back which means a more rested unit that can be aggressive, and if the CB spot it healthy and good then you can really scheme things away from your weakness at safety. Again that would be the hope.

Nice- the weather is perfect. Regarding Canalside, there are boat rides you can take which are nice if you are in to that. Enjoy.

If you do get to the Falls, The Maid of the Mist is a very memorable experience. If you are on the Canadian side, you are just 20-30 minutes south of Niagara on the Lake which we visited last week for the first time. It’s a charming little town where the Niagara River meets Lake Ontario. That was a nice and easy side trip for us.

A little obscure from the typical WNY recommendations but I thoroughly enjoyed the visit and tour of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Martin House complex near Delaware Park. It wasn’t available when I lived in WNY but is well worth it. Truly amazing to see this 125 year old landmark restored.
