  1. Past hour
  2. What's the plan being proposed by the other side of the isle?
  3. Veteran players approach pre-season differently, they might just be looking to work on things they are weaker at which might produce less results in a game. If you are leaning into moves and approaches that you are less effective at as a means to work on them you product might not be so good come gameday. I'm not saying that's what happened but rather there's a lot of factors to consider when watching pre-season games.
  4. Preseason record in Kelly/Super Bowl era: 1988: 1-3 1989: 1-4 1990: 0-4 (best chance to win it all) 1991: 2-3 1992: 2-2 1993: 2-3 Totals: 8 wins, 19 losses. Regular season record over those 6 years: 70-26 And the starters played a lot more back then than they do now. I vaguely remember talk that Gale Gilbert was looking better than Jim Kelly one year (Art Wander comment?). In the Super Bowl years they didn't run no huddle in preseason. As McDermott said in presser, on a scale of 1-10, how much game planning did they do? 0-1. Amazing reaction over the weekend.
  5. It is the first game of pre-season I would really calm down. I think last year showed that the Bills linemen do pace themselves well. This is a veteran D-line group. D. Jones is a 10+ year vet as Bosa is also going into year 10. Oliver, Groot, and AJE are in their 5th to 7th years they are well established "young vets". The backend guys who are rookies and 2nd year players (Walker, Sanders, Jackson, Carter, and Solomon) were the ones to watch and I think outside of Landon Jackson they are looked good to decent. The top of the line pass rushers the guys with 5+ years experience they aren't going all out in pre-season and they will look much different in the regular season. Now it is the case that the front 4 pass rush could be an issue. But I'm not ready to say it is an issue just yet based off one pre-season game...
  6. What the people need is a way to make 'em smile It ain't so hard to do if you know how Gotta get a message, get it on through Oh, now, mama's goin' to after a while Whoa-oh-whoa, listen to the music Whoa-oh-whoa, listen to the music Whoa-oh-whoa, listen to the music All the time
  7. This is right on the heels of Los Angeles being under military attack!! I worry about our troops being overextended.
  8. Elway was in danger of losing his job if he took another raw physical specimen at QB and failed. The unfortunate reality of the nfl is that a lot of decisions are not made for football reasons.
  9. So you’re a scientist… blaming people for following the science? Genius.
  10. While I think it's silly to project a season based off one preseason game but the whole "we didn't gameplan argument" is also silly. Neither are the other teams we're facing. It should be be a little bit concerning if our guys aren't winning 1v1 matchups in vanilla vs. vanilla gameplay.
  11. It's the death of the 3rd down whistle!
  12. Each? 🤨 * GMs and HCs are hard to come by. Practice squad guys are a dime a dozen. One goes down, it's just "next man up!" Your idea is better. Ralph might have been cheap, but he was no dummy when it came to shekels.
  13. I think DeWayne Carter could be added to this list because we're trying to make him a NT when that's clearly not what he does best.
  14. Drug are going to get more expensive, too! So much for no more endless wars, this is a war that will never end if it actually begins https://www.nytimes.com/2025/08/08/us/trump-military-drug-cartels.html President Trump has secretly signed a directive to the Pentagon to begin using military force against certain Latin American drug cartels that his administration has deemed terrorist organizations, according to people familiar with the matter. The decision to bring the American military into the fight is the most aggressive step so far in the administration’s escalating campaign against the cartels. It signals Mr. Trump’s continued willingness to use military forces to carry out what has primarily been considered a law enforcement responsibility to curb the flow of fentanyl and other illegal drugs. The order provides an official basis for the possibility of direct military operations at sea and on foreign soil against cartels. U.S. military officials have started drawing up options for how the military could go after the groups, the people familiar with the conversations said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive internal deliberations.
  15. This is exactly what I said "One black mark on both of them, Beane and McD, is the roster itself. You look at the first rebuild and it’s beating the current one by a landslide. We had a better roster in 2019-2022. We are regressing. If you compare position by position it’s clear as day. Especially WR and DB" The offensive line is better, so is the RB positions. The DB's and WR's are signifgantly worse. Which are the two of the three most coveted positions in the NFL based on where teams select them in the NFL draft. The DB's are a downright liability. Which is probably why those old teams could perform on 3rd down. So to your point, will we still do well? Sure. Allen will basically guarantee that. But what does it matter in evaluating the trajectory or top end of this team? They're good enough to win 12-13 games. Can you imagine if they had the tools from the past? You will see all of this on full display week 1. Brady's system is better for Josh and the offense so much so that it makes up for the issues at WR, but the defense will remain a serious liability and needs a ton of + factors coming together for that to change.
  16. The Bills will be contenders to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl, but I honestly don't see how they can be the favored. I think the Ravens have one of the best if not the best roster in football. Jackson is one hell of a QB who is right up there with Allen and Mahomes. Then there is KC. It's probably more mental at this point but until the Bills actually beat KC in a big spot (playoffs) then you can't have them favored to do so until they actually do it. If I were to a make a Super Bowl pick for this year, I would say it will be the Ravens vs Lions assuming injuries don't hurt their season.
  17. Great take lol. Go look at last year's preseason games, and the defensive turd the team fielded all season and tell me what's different? lol Kinda was a predictor of what actually happened all year. lol I do love the zealotry against logic and the deductive process.
  18. The 2021 roster was the most stacked Bills team in the Josh Allen era imo. The OL took a step back in 21 compared to 20, but the rest of the teams’ talent was undeniable imo.
