Minnesota lawmaker assassinated another shot.
The Frankish Reich replied to 4th&long's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I've been saying that we forget how well Americans live. 7-11 manager? Guy who transports bodies from nursing homes to the morgue? $520,000 home on 11 acres in exurban Mpls. I suspect the house of cards - marriage (guy with multiple failed careers), debt, no prospects - finally went over the edge. -
When I lived in KC, I got absolutely zero impression they desired an NHL team or even cared about the sport. Yes it was a while ago, but I watched the '99 Finals at a popular sports bar on a tiny tv in the corner with no sound. There was not a single other patron in the bar observing the game.

Maybe being not so riled up in the AM will help. For me it's to bed at 12 or 12:30,up around 4-5 to pee (depending how much I had to drink (non alcoholic) the night before), and then up at 8-8:30 unless I have an early Dr. appointment. Take a nap on average twice a week. Usually nice restful sleep.

Are Fan Expectations Too High for Keon Coleman?

I'd take that depending upon how you see Palmer, Moore, and Samuel -
How many wins do the Bills get without Josh?

I would say no. 'Bout the same. The fact we have different guesses shows what? Is evidence of what? -
Antonio Brown in big trouble...again
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall
People laugh, but this is extremely sad. AB’s mental health is deteriorating in front of our very eyes in real time. It was only a matter of time before he completely destroyed his life. Thankfully he didn’t kill someone or even multiple people. Never a good look for the NFL anytime CTE hits the news, but is a very real topic of discussion. I seriously pray for this guy. It’s only going to get worse. I was expecting a Jovan Belcher situation. -
Everything is fine.

Sorry if I was over aggressive in my response about Dion Dawkins. Its more of a cumulative thing with him, not you specifically. I have just never thought of him as a special player. A solid good player yes. But special no. And he just seems like a big self promoter too much for my taste. He is an O lineman. Act like one. Do your job well. Get paid well. And noone needs to know a whole lot more about you. You got a funky haircut with lamb chop side burns. That makes you stand out already. Anthony Munoz the best left tackle IMO of the modern era never blew his own horn. Enough said. As for Terrance McGhee, I was being more tongue in cheek mentioning him. He was one of my favorite Bills players of the modern era for his skills as a return man and as a corner. And he seemed like a real solid dude also. Its too bad that injuries cut the prime of his career short I believe. I never said Kelly was a better player. But Kelly was an awesome player and leader. He had the charisma toughness and was a winner. And to say he was never close to Allen's level of talent (agree as a runner) or play is just ignorant on your part. And I watched all his games as well Turk.

They are one last gasp for the 6os hippies to think they are young and relevant again before they die off. All of the geriatrics in those groups look to be late 70s (about 10 years older than me).

THE HORROR… THE HORROR…:

Nearly 1 million illegal immigrants have ‘self deported’ under Trump, which has led to higher wages. One of those tracks relies on arrests and deportations of aliens unlawfully here, which at the outset has focused mainly on criminals (the “worst first” strategy). The other track is more subtle but also cheaper for taxpayers and arguably much more effective —encouraging illegal migrants here to self-deport. It began with an Inauguration Day Trump directive requiring DHS to ensure all aliens present in the United States — legal and otherwise — have registered with the federal government, and to prosecute those who don’t comply. … One way to track the program is by checking employment numbers. One financial wiz cited by the Wall Street Journal calculated a decline in the immigrant population of 773,000 in the first four months of Trump II. The Washington Post claims “a million foreign-born workers have exited the workforce since March.” The Post frames this as “a sign of the weakening labor supply.” Yet the paper also notes, “Average hourly wages accelerated, rising by 0.4 percent over the month, to $36.24 in May, as earnings continue to beat inflation in a boost to workers’ spending power.” In other words, with fewer illegal immigrants, businesses had to raise wages to attract workers. https://nypost.com/2025/06/15/opinion/nearly-1-million-illegal-immigrants-have-self-deported-under-trump-which-has-led-to-higher-wages/ Unexpectedly.

out of the group initially sampled in the OP, Keon was the second-youngest at draft day...Kenny Britt was a few months younger. Here are Kenny's 9-year career stats, not eye-popping. I assume Keon will take a step this year and be closer to 800 yards than to 500 (barring any injury obvs) Games Played: 116 Games Started: 75 Receptions: 329 Receiving Yards: 5,137 Yards Per Reception (Average): 15.6 Receiving Touchdowns: 32 Longest Reception: 80 yards -
Are Fan Expectations Too High for Keon Coleman?
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
Expectations are way too high for rookies and sophomores IN GENERAL. I’ve never known such an impatient group of people in all my life. I remember the “three year rule” that used to be given to WRs. Sometimes it would even take 4 for certain guys. The physicality of NFL CBs is a whole other level. “Touch” is a relatively new concept for Allen. Otherwise, he is launching absolute piss missiles. Guys have complained about bruised hands. I can’t even imagine handling those balls in cold weather. To answer the OP. Fans have been entirely unfair to Keon. Stat line he put up was very respectable considering he was injured. He has demonstrated every skill in the pros that he showed in college. I expect to make a jump into a Gabe Davis type stat-line. 850 yards, 8 TDs. Year 3 is when the league really starts to take notice. I think the guy who really takes a massive leap is Shakir. -
A lot of people came out. Many were paid to be there. Many protesters when asked why they were there couldn't articulate their reasons. The premise of the entire protest called "No Kings" is ludicrous and will be remembered as such. The fat costume video merely encapsulates the whole sad debacle. Hearts and minds changed on either side? Zero point zero. The no kings election was held last November. We will have another in 3.5 years. If you can stop letting TDS rage consume you then I believe that you'll make it there just fine! A homicide in Salt Lake City. Seattle federal building under siege. A dude in Minnesota hunting down and shooting politicians in their homes. Mostly peaceful.

Trump directs ICE to expand deportations in Democratic-run cities, undeterred by protests by Aamer Madhani President Donald Trump on Sunday directed federal immigration officials to prioritize deportations from Democratic-run cities, a move that comes after large protests erupted in Los Angeles and other major cities against the Trump administration’s immigration policies. Trump in a social media posting called on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials “to do all in their power to achieve the very important goal of delivering the single largest Mass Deportation Program in History.” He added that to reach the goal officials ”must expand efforts to detain and deport Illegal Aliens in America’s largest Cities, such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, where Millions upon Millions of Illegal Aliens reside.” https://apnews.com/article/trump-ice-deportations-protests-65fa8d64ea12a78a0ee0ebeea008ee4d?utm_source=Email&utm_medium=share Probably did it with a "royal proclamation" Right ?
