The good news is the suspensions of Hoecht and Ogunjobe will give the rookies more regular season reps and hopefully accelerate their development. The questions it raises is could their absence cost the Bills a win or two and can the players who will play avoid injury.

Yeah it’s by design. IMO. They targeted Keon, Palmer, and Mack to all play on the boundary. I think Shakir at this point has proven to be a better WR than all 3 of them. I think the Bills and everyone would agree with that assessment. so then the question is, why are all 3 of those guys playing on the boundary while Shakir is stuck in the slot? And the answer is because the coaching staff believes those, for lack of a better word, worse, WRs are better contributors on the boundary than Shakir.

I see CB2 as Hairston’s to lose. If he doesn’t win it and hang onto it immediately, I will start get Elam flashbacks. the battle for CB4 is between Dane and Tre. I think Tre may win that by virtue of still hoping he has some old form left in the tank. Cam Lewis’ ability to play ST and multiple positions probably saves his roster spot again this year. Hamlin will somehow win the starting FS spot. Bishop will be competing with Rapp for SS and some big nickel packages.
