I've thought the same. The weather in Buffalo in April sucks. So much chilly rain flows across Lake Erie, it will be 75 and Sunny in DC and 48 and rainy in WNY on the same day. I personally don't think every city in the NFL "deserves" the draft. Green Bay looked nothing special to me,, they set up a stage in a parking lot, whooopeee. Keep it in the big cities.

Why Landon Jackson is the next MONSTER in the NFL
Slippery Rubber Mats replied to MJS's topic in The Stadium Wall
But you'll miss all the games from now until then. And like, your life moments too. Your family will miss you, and the only explanation they will be able to deliver to your loved one will be: "he's sleeping until Landon Jackson is the next monster of the NFL" -

You're implying you're fine with returning offense with the same level of production as last year. So I assume you're also fine with losing in the playoffs again with the same "great offense"? Fourth down with the game on the line and KC blitzing, only this time Kincaid (or Coleman or Palmer or Moore or Shenault or another of our deep threats) catches the ball, like Diggs failed the year before? Or maybe you're saying the defense will be so improved we don't need an offense that can score on the final drive of a game. In other words, we don't need the "great offense" you say we have.

Pope Francis
Joe Ferguson forever replied to Joe Ferguson forever's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
A composite image he shared on Truth Social of himself in papal vestments was surely meant to infuriate critics his acolytes could then mock as lacking a sense of humor — a familiar MAGA strategy. But the image, an offensive one to Roman Catholics, who view the pope as the guardian of the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven, is a knowing nod to Trump’s claims of infallibility. It was also shared on the White House’s X account — thereby becoming one of the most extraordinary official documents ever issued by the United States government. And Trump’s plan for a major military parade to celebrate the Army’s 250th birthday in June may be another sign he’s adopting dictator kitsch. The event is likely to draw scrutiny beyond the cost of moving tons of expensive troop formations and aircraft at a time when the administration is gutting the federal government to save money. Trump has wanted such a spectacle since attending a Bastille Day on France’s national day in his first term. But this parade is expected to take place on the commander in chief’s birthday in June. Monarchs have military pageants for their birthdays, but modern US presidents have tended to shun such displays of personal adulation that blur the notion that troops in a republic serve the people and not an omnipotent ruler. The US has also felt no need to boast of its power at the kind of propaganda jamborees preferred by the leaders of the former Soviet Union and North Korea. But Trump said on NBC, “We have the greatest missiles in the world. We have the greatest submarines in the world. We have the greatest army tanks in the world.” He added, “We have the greatest weapons in the world. And we’re going to celebrate it.” This was characteristic of a growing administration trope — to imply that those who are queasy at such displays of presidential power are unpatriotic, hostile to the military or humorless. This allows it to dismiss any concerns over Trump’s incessant grasping for every symbol of sovereignty. and the dolts smile and admire him... -
Why Landon Jackson is the next MONSTER in the NFL
BuffaloRebound replied to MJS's topic in The Stadium Wall
i like Jackson’s upside. Same with Walker. They have physical traits to help right away in spot duty, but they both seem a couple years away from reaching their potential hence why they lasted as long as they did. expecting a 3rd rounder to be a monster is asking for disappointment. -
Elijah Moore Visiting the Bills today (Update: Signed!)
oldmanfan replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you do the math I think the difference over 40 yards between a guy that runs a 4.2 vs a 4.4 40 is a little more than a yard. -
Nice here in the DMV that time of year. Spring has sprung by then. Big lift for DC, that many people coming in. Should be fun. In all honesty, we all know that the weather in WNY in mid April is mainly dreadful. To have a big open air event at that time would invite comparisons to the Blizzard of '77. Please don't. The Bills are finally lifting the areas rep , let's not trash it again with a rain soaked, 50 deg 3 day outdoor event. Just sayin

I'd say if that happened it likely signals that Kincaid, shakir, or both missed significant time imo. -
BUMP Back to what comes next to our country. Which is what matters. I;m gripping Im not gonna lie Rereading the thread this morning I see posters on both sides having some frank open discussions about faith. Good. I will never buy mr trumps cozying up to people of faith as anything less than a smart ploy to seek their votes. Did anyone see the 60 Minutes piece last night? Have a blessed day. m there is many instances of what people call"art" that I find questionable and tasteless. hey look like pirates dresses as nuns. SMH stupid chit Just for the record I don't pretend to speak for all Christians. m

It would be cool to showcase Buffalo and WNY for the draft, but with the volume of attendees today, the lack of local accommodations makes it impractical. It's funny how not too many years ago the NFL draft was just another day at the office, held during the work week with most fans catching up on the picks in the local newspaper or watching the local evening sports news with Rick Azar, et al. Then, ESPN started televising the draft picks in real time. (desperate for content) Eventually, it turned into a minor event with draftnik attendees getting a seat in a ballroom in New York. A lot of whiney, disappointed meathead Jet fans in attendance almost made it worthwhile. Now, it's a huge deal, with thousands gathered to patiently hear their team make it's choices or watch their favorite player get picked. This is a great example of how people can be manipulated by hype. A non-event has become must-see event and a hot ticket for some. It's cool that these folks, (mostly a younger partying crowd), enjoy the event. Personally, I can't imagine standing there, surrounded by a mass of boisterous fans for hours, waiting for one NFL prospect to be revealed. Last year when the Bills traded out of the first round, I have to think there were Buffalo fans who stood there all day eagerly anticipating the Bills' pick, only to go home or back to their hotel with nothing to show for it but a pair of aching feet and a sweaty tee-shirt. Yes, the NFL is the master of hype. Now, the schedule is the next 'big' (non) event. Can't wait. 😃 They need to come up with something to keep fans engaged in June.🙄

Why Landon Jackson is the next MONSTER in the NFL
Ralonzo replied to MJS's topic in The Stadium Wall
You can look at him as a sack threat, i.e. the Alabama game in '23. But yeah, it's on the run where having him instead of Epenesa on the edge makes a difference in denying the sideline to the RB. There's a lot of tape on Jackson that looked a lot like Epenesa last year - out in space playing contain on a misdirection play. Except where Epenesa got waltzed consistently, Jackson was racking TFL's. He's not lost in space, he can click and close so much better than AJE who looked that guy in the commercial pouring his own inground pool. Jackson's change of direction isn't great but AJE's is like trying to take a tank through a slalom course. I liken the difference between Jackson and Epenesa there as exactly the difference between James Cook and Singletary... the latter is just lacking that top gear to make it to the sideline. -
Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!
oldmanfan replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
Again if Beane decides to trade a bunch of guys to get say a Jefferson, fine. But when are folks going to objectively look back at last season and realize that we had a great offense without a star WR? That Brady’s offense uses the running game effectively as well as spreading the passing game around to all the WRs, TEs, and RBs? When is that going to happen? And please don’t come back with the idea that we’d be lost if we didn’t have Josh, because the fact is we DO have Josh. Just like the Chiefs have Mahomes without a stud WR. -
Yes- again- I’ve acknowledged this many times. In the chiefs 2 Super Bowl losses the opposing QBs were sitting on the sideline watching their backups on their final drive iirc. It’s possible for teams to not need a final drive to be clutch vs KC. our defense is the biggest reason we haven’t beat KC in the playoffs. Disagree if you like. You’d just be wrong.

Trump ❤️ Tariffs
Joe Ferguson forever replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
American culture has remained a valuable assert for decades. Others wanted to be us and imitate us largely due to images they witnessed in movies. He single handedly crashed the value of it and now wants to crush it with a movie tariff war. We finally agree. This is a very bad idea.
