  1. Past hour
  2. It's Brady, but that means it's also McDermott. Brady demonstrated again last night that he is just not up to the job. This entire staff has run its course but with Pegula seemingly 99% clueless, I don't know that it'll ever change. Sigh.
  3. I think every Bills fan saw it flash before their eyes when Josh was shaking his leg like that. He also had a throwing hand wrist injury on the final drive. I seen him grab it and he was trying to shake it off in the huddle. Dude is tough af.
  4. My head coach hire is Kliff Kingsbury. He obviously knows offense and knows how to move the football. He’s the most obvious guy to have more success in his second go around. I don’t see him as a retread, I see him as a guy who had some success and some failure and will do better in a better situation. Someone will hire him this year and his success will on some level depend on his QB is. He’s done some really good things with Jayden Daniels. He took the Cards to the playoffs with Kyler Murray missing multiple games, and receivers like a washed AJ Green and Greg Dortch and TBD favorite Andy Isabella behind DeAndre Hopkins who got hurt and was a big part of their late season collapse. He also has found very creative ways to utilize Zach Ertz, something he could do with Kincaid. He needs to be paired with an experienced DC like Jim Schwartz. Maybe it’s a Flores or something, but I would target Schwartz. Thats the move I make. Kliff maybe isn’t as kind and God fearing as McDermott, but to me he’s the kind of offensive coach who needs another shot and is a perfect pairing with Josh. He is able to maximize skill sets, and he has shown an implementation of more gap runs in Washington which shows that he has likely learned from some of his mistakes in Arizona and his vanilla zone scheme. Often these guys find success in a second go round and to me he’s the guy to target.
  5. We should all be thrilled with 12-5. That’s what I see too. Look forward to thumping Pats in regular season, the Texans in playoffs with Ed back. We get Kincaid back and we’re back.
  6. Most of this season and especially after last night, people have been calling for the firing of Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane. It's pretty clear that the coaching and the systems aren't working anymore. And that the roster is in terrible shape with no easy fixes. Both have had a number of fireable offenses. While I understand fans frustration and wanting a new regime, the question I keep coming back to is would Josh want to stick around for that? He'll be 30 years old next season. We've already wasted much of his prime. A new Coach and/or a new GM will surely want to rebuild the roster, the staff, and the systems in place in their image. This is likely to take time and the odds that they'll come in and get back to where they were immediately while rebuilding is unlikely. It will probably take a couple off seasons. And there's no guarantee whomever we bring in will actually improve things. My concern is that at Josh's age and with the clock ticking on his prime that he would rather ask for a Trade to a team that has a roster in place and a good coach and GM in place than waste time and roll the dice on a rebuild under unknowns. There's no easy answer as it's pretty clear that Sean isn't the answer and Brandon has mismanaged the cap and roster. So a lot of things are going to have to be done after this season. But I worry Josh won't want to stick around for a total blow up.
  7. The ball placement was fine and I've seen this catch made both in college & pro football every week. Because it's so rare that the Bills WR's make these kinds of tough catches we forget that they happen all the time in other games.
  8. I really enjoy listening to him as well. He has a reasonable view of the team, isn't afraid to criticize them when deserved, and doesn't come off like a condescending know-it-all like, say, the dorks from the Cover 1 podcast.
  9. "Which one of the homegrown off-season signings has met or exceeded expectations besides Cook"
  10. Because Joe Brady is a poor game planer and his play package is primitive. The other teams knew what we were going to do since Atlanta. No I am not saying it because of that tweet in this thread. I have said it since the Atlanta game. Atlanta at minimum figured out our motions and how to fool Josh and get him to play into the defense. On a side note: I think this game might have been slightly different if we had Kincaid available. They don't use Knox in the same way and Kincaid has a knack for them short to mid range quick throws and turning them into first downs. I would have liked to have seen more passes to the backs last night. Texans LBers are also very good though. A lot of people want to blame Josh for everything. I guarantee you if Josh had a real OC and one #1 guy that this team would be nie unstoppable on offense. Sure, Josh has his head scratchers but what QB doesn't? Hell, Id bet just a real OC and this same crew would perform better and we lose maybe 1 game thus far.
  11. With Spencer Brown out, how does it look facing TJ Watt and Myles Garrett?
  12. Then Beane should have traded up to get a difference maker instead of trading back multiple times to the team's detriment.
  13. Lol. I feel like most people that say 9-8 want to be 9-8. We aren't going 9-8. We have 6 games left. Jets and Browns should be wins. That gives us 9 right there. Then all we gotta do is go 2-2 in the other 4. Completely doable. 11-6 is where I think we go
  14. Agreed. The Championship roster comments are interesting. I liked this topic.. I think it was the morning show, but he keeps referencing points per possession to show how the Defense, while not good, is doing enough for what one would think a Josh Allen led Offense can win with. I think we’d all agree the Defense has been pretty bad these past two weeks, but giving up 32 in a high possession game isn’t awful. Giving up 23, when 6 of those points came off turning the ball over in FG range, while forcing 6 punts, isn’t awful.
  15. I think all of that is still on the table. Obviously the Pats are good & improved - but in a few ways, they're entering the "tough" part of their historically easy schedule. If they lose to Cincy, it's no guarantee they can beat the Giants, Ravens, us or Miami, among others. I think they probably win the division, but it's far from over.
  16. Exactly, we need a fresh approach
  17. Pittsburg: win - we will come out on fire after being embarrassed Cincy: win - their defense is horrific NE: would like to say win but have to say loss Cleveland: win - even our D can stop them Philly: good game and I think we win a close one at home Jets: win if we have a shot at the division, lose if our spot is secure and can’t change
  18. Jerry O is great with injury related stuff too.
  19. He won't and you won't so given that you have nothing to do with making any of these decisions--decisions that will likely be far more incremental than the posts on this board demand, if any-- don't think too much. Take a step back if need be. You are simply a passenger, not the pilot, for better or worse.
  20. I’m down on this team as much as the next guy. I think we’re wasting a generational talent, but we have some bad teams on that schedule. I think we’re going to win a decent amount, maybe just a loss to Philly and the Pats. However, we aren’t going far in the playoffs.
  21. I don’t think they are firing Beane and McDermott (maybe Beane but not McDermott) but here a few somewhat realistic ideas that I think should happen: -swap out both coordinators (prefer both from outside the org and not Daboll) On Offense: -Trade Keon Coleman and a 2nd to the eagles for AJ (Coleman needs a fresh start and Brown/eagles seems like it is - Release Samuel, restructure Knox, let Moore walk -Let Edwards walk, resign McGovern, trade Torrence (probably can’t pay him after next year and can get a 2nd or 3rd most likely. Have Anderson and the other backups along with a mid round draft pick compete for the 2 guard spots On Defense - try to bring bosa back if he will take a reasonable deal - move Bernard to Milano spot and get a bigger middle linebacker - explore moving Taron Johnson to saftey next to bishop if not cut him - cut Rapp Guys that should not be back next year on 😧 Hamlin, Rapp, Poyer,Ingram, White, Taron?, Milano, ogunjobi, jones, Phillips, Mathis, Solomon, Epenesa (Carter and Jackson probably don’t deserve it but need some additional play time)
  22. If we are eliminated from the playoffs by kickoff time against the jets, I think we lose that game.
  23. Bills Squad is great. I really like Jerry Ostroski's point of view.
  24. I agree we don’t have talent but it’s BS that we can’t draft better talent. Not every good player in the nfl is drafted in the top 20 picks. We could have taken Worthy or Ricky Pearsol or Ladd McKonkey over Coleman and that’s just at WR. Cooper Dejean was key to the eagles winning the superbowl last year - thy may not win it without him - and that CB Lassiter, who helped destroy us last night, was drafted just after Coleman too. Maybe we don’t need Coleman at all if we took Troy Franklin the year before instead of Dwayne Carter!?!? We could have drafted some of the highest rated defenders in the league this past May. Jihad Campbell LB or Nick Emmanuwari S/CB in round one were available, Donovan Ezeiruaku EDGE or Will Johnson CB in round 2, Xavier Watts Round 3. All big time difference makers from day one. And if we wanted to be a running team maybe take Skattebo at the end of round 3??!?!!? Fact is basically anyone would have rebuilt the back end of our defense by just looking at mock drafts and all America lists.
