Cook Agrees to deal with Bills

I have to think Knox is gone next season. Hawes is his replacement Samuel too. This is his last season. Ed Oliver must be restructured. You dont spend all your draft picks on the D-Line and do nothing with Oliver's contract -
Let's gooooooooooooooooooo, so glad I don't have to watch him in another uniform yet.

My friends wife had it at 40 (in remission after Mohs surgery). I am very fair skinned so I always wear a crap ton of sun block.

What about Torrence?

I've never watched Hard Knocks before, but these 2 episodes are just Bills Hype videos on Valium.

Cook Agrees to deal with Bills

Home run hitter for cheap IMO, great deal overall -
I mean I get what you’re saying but the Bills have set themselves up for long term success on the offensive line. Their two tackles are locked in on long term deals. I think the next thing on Beanes to do list is McGovern and now can utilize the franchise tag on him if necessary. I think they let David Edwards walk after the season but have Alec Anderson ready to go on a cheap deal for either Exwards or McGovern and Grable can either be the primary swing tackle with the capability of him moving inside or pushing Dawkins inside as he ages. That doesn’t include Lundt who while early, looked impressive in his first action and Sedrick Van Pran who has been a bit of an afterthought because he’s been injured this preseason. As long as Kromer is here developing these mid to late round guys I don’t have a lot of worry about the OL especially with Allen behind Center
-
How is it not? 4 added to the 1 remaining. That is 9.6 apv. 30 guaranteed spread over 5 years. Buffalo will have outs in 2 and 3 years while having no real guaranteed money remaining. It’s a 5 year deal with Buffalo being able to walk away after 3 or 4 years and create cap space.
-
I hope they pitch in together and buy my a Cook jersey

I actually have a ton of confidence in our development of OL. Beane does well when he has a strong guiding hand on the coaching staff, Aaron Kromer is that on the OL. Much like Sean McDermott is that with DB. They’ll hit at these spots more often than not because they clearly do a good job collaborating. I’m hoping that Ryan Nielsen becomes the same value for us on the defensive line. Yes, people can point at the misses like Ford or Elam, but misses are inevitable. I feel very good about those two personnel groups.

Dawkins and Brown are locked up long term. I think the plan is probably to do the same with Torrence if he progresses like how they think he will this year. Young, drafted player who they can extend 4 years, maybe with some void years. My guess is the Cook contract makes it tough, but not impossible, to extend McGovern and/or Edwards. Luckily we have, probably, the best OL Coach in the game right now and they seem to be as good as anyone in the league at identifying and drafting OL.

Just Josh being a dude, iykyk (I didn’t, had to look it up)

That might be it. "Mike Webster" was well beyond my feeble abilities to turn into a D joke. -
Great video but man Chris Brown’s calls are just brutal sometimes

I love James Cook. I'm so happy for him and the Bills -
Our backup TE is set to make $14.5M this year and $17M next year. We pay Samuel $9M to be WR4 role player. We just handed Hoecht $7M/yr to sit out suspended. Ed Oliver is good and all but set to make $25M next year. There's a lot of other money to worry about than $12M for what Cook brings to the table. To the flip side: We have our Franchise QB locked up We have our OTs locked up We do not have any major WRs who will command $30M or even $20M We just got all the other major extensions done. The cap is skyrocketing every season with streaming money (a huge $25M jump that last couple of years) We have other guys we can restructure IOL is in the same underpaid boat as RB. To @Ya Digg?'s point, there is no need to worry about this $12M contract.

Lots of complaining here. This program is supposed to reporting the softer side of the sport. The Bills story is teamwork, family, strong sense of community, pride, the underdog, never give up, etc. That is what we are getting. Just remember the days when the Bills were irrelevant, had no star players, and were barely on any the NFL national coverage. You get one life. Time tics away. I am enjoying this.

That's fair. I am personally high on Cybo as I think he is a good, ascending player. Needs to improve against some of those twitchy 3 Techs a bit, and sometimes has a hard time picking up the right blitzer. But loving his trajectory and I think he's about to have a big year. (I hope lol)

but then throw in the historically bad, never-going-to-recover economy, and what do you have????
-
That’s a no brainer!

I do think we need to see Cook utilized more in the passing game now. Hes a way better runner than I ever though he would be, but he was drafted as a pass catcher and if we truly want to maximize this contract, he should be used like Alvin Kamara was in his prime.
