I honestly didn't think about that but one has to wonder. His body language doesn't seem decisive I still think the entire offense infrastructure around Allen with this McDermott regime is not competent. This ain't Bill Walsh and cutting edge offensive philosophy. And I think this is hurting Colemans development. Ppl will counter with the offensive production, but Allen has been under multiple coordinators and different philosophical systems and produced in all of them. Again this is Dick Jaroun who lucked into this eras John Elway He even looked good in the jets game. He had a big catch taken back on a penalty In the 1st 2 games he reminded me a bit of keyshawn Johnson. Something came off the rails so idk. He doesn't strike me as a wr that sucks. He has real abilities, but something happened after the 1st 2 games and his confidence looks gone In the interview when he was asked about the Steve Smith video he looked extremely sad and I could tell he was hurting. I felt bad for him... It's just my speculation but you gotta wonder if a personal issue is going on with Coleman. It's just a vibe I'm getting

Who do we want, who do we need as our next HC and, or GM?
Kelly to Allen replied to jaybeezee's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's not bad luck. If you draft or sign injury prone players or older players it's a much more common theme Bernard for example was constantly dealing with injuries in college, that's on Beane. Bosa, injury prone, on Beane, depending on Milano or Thompson after the past couple years, on Beane. Landon Jackson for example already had 2 torn acls in college, now it's a 3rd knee issue. That's on Beane.... There's numerous other examples. Von Miller was 33, with multiple serious injuries towards the end when beane decided to give him a ridiculous contract. That's on Beane.... At least with the bosa contract it was just a 1 year 12 mil contract Zack Moss in college - injury prone Poyer, Jordan Phillips, Tre White older injury prone players That's on Beane Beane decided to invest 3 years into Hoecht. We all know given the suspension why that was a risk.... Again this is on Beane Stop drafting smaller, injury prone players on defense - Today

It's the new policy of giving them 60 balls to break in before the season instead of one hour before kickoff like it was the previous 25 years. I It's easier to catch a baseball one the glove is broken in. A football goes further when it's broken in. I don't take any kicking records seriously anymore.

Chris Simms on the Bills offense vs Miami: I considered making a new thread for this but it fits into this thread just fine. I recommend watching the entire 12 minute video. Nothing he says here should surprise anyone. Highlights: -When defenses are able to stop the run, we have no counterpunch. He points out when you face playoff defenses you will inevitably have a game where you can't get the run going, and we don't have any answers to overcome that. -Way too much is on Allen in the pass game. Nothing about it is surgical, it's all on him to create big plays. -He blames the personnel more than the play calling but does criticize the play calling for dipping into the same well way too many times. The same concepts are constantly showing up on film. We're attacking the same areas of the field over and over again and Miami's defense was clamping down on it. -Miami was in zone most of the game, cover 3 specifically 67% of the time. He says they were easily passing off our various crossing routes and we had no way of attacking them outside to get them out of those looks. He says "Allen can throw comebacks while sitting on his ass" but we don't have those routes on the menu because of our personnel. -He criticizes Coleman in particular. He says that several times Allen hits the top of his drop looking in Coleman's direction but Coleman hasn't gotten to his spot and/or is jogging, so Allen ends up having to move on in the read. You can tell how flabbergasted Simms is that this is the offense we've built around Allen. An all-time physically gifted QB and we're just asking him to throw button hooks and short crossers. We spam the same boring play calls and we have no one to take advantage of Allen's arm downfield.

I know it's unlikely, that's why I said "almost rooting for the wheels to fall off." Don't bother telling me to switch teams, FitzTitz, I was born a Buffalonian and I'm a Bills fan for life. Where do you get this inside info that the owner will "literally die before removing McBeane"? You've seen the will? Ps I like your handle -
I am 100% convinced i could beat Tyler Bass in a fight.

Joe B article - Elijah Moore, Curtis Samuel, Gabe Davis
Scott7975 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think it’s the mental beat down from McD over the past few years. Always trying to get him to stop running. Always worried about the turnovers and not taking account the amount of big plays and TDs that occurred from the same playstyle. Then trying to turn him into Tom Brady dink and dunk etc. the dude is probably in constant conflict between what he wants to do and what the coach is telling him to do. You can see this all the time in his hesitation. I’ve been saying it for over a year now and it’s gotten worse this year. -

im probably the boards biggest Gabe “hater” but the dude has made some amazing toe taps on the sideline. His problem has always been consistency with his hands and not being on the same page as Allen. -
Week 11, Bucs v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!

Yup Bills 40 Bucs 23 -
These are all wonderful points, only thing I’ll add is Miami really did benefit from the GM bump as so many teams do. The players chose McDaniel over Grier. That meant something to the players when the owner went with them (and McD as a result). The Dolphins had the perfect storm, caught the Bills sleeping (heads in the clouds post Chiefs) when they were ready to run through a wall themselves.

Sadly, a waning crescent moon tells me we'll get the Bad News Bills that were punked by the Fins... Bucs 34 Bills 20 -
It's combination of the back 7 sitting on routes in the intermediate area and Allen not consistently taking the easy underneath stuff. Allen was disciplined vs kc and it was beautiful He wasn't vs Miami, add turnovers and it got ugly Regardless the wrs desperately need true deep threat archetypes this off-season. I still think it will improve a bit tho with Palmer/ Davis & Hardman KC went thru this exact situation in 23 & 24

Buffalo 34 Tampa 20 A healthy palmer/ big game Gabe on the outside makes a big difference Dline is getting healthy too along with Taron Johnson back I think they'll try to hold benford out one more week. Bernard needs to go to ir to heal up unless he's better this week idk -
Shakir has the lowest aDOT (4.2 yards) amongst 111 qualifying WRs in the league. $53M to be a gadget player. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2025/receiving_advanced.htm

Every team has injuries. It's a lame excuse. Somehow other coaches still win. We don't because we don't have offensive or defensive geniuses. We have a staff that is maybe above average. -

Bucs 38 Bills 23 The rain turns to snow at the beginning of the 4th quarter, which quickly turns to ash, which then finally coalesces into a giant portal to another dimension that starts to suck up the Bills players… but it tries to take Keon Coleman first and he is able to shut it with his unusually low degree of kinetic energy. After that, the urinal troughs in every mens room within the stadium shatter at once. -

This line of thinking is just asinine! To be clear, I don’t think regime change is a bad idea but you do realize who the owner is. He will literally die before removing McBeane so it would make more sense for the fans on this train to go root for another team. Or just wait 10 more years (your choice of course). McBeane are lifers in this organization. How do people not know/see this is beyond me!! Arggghhh -

People always forget the Pats were the “easy” team the last 2 years.. and I absolutely agree without Vrabel and Josh M here they aren’t close to 8-2.
