  2. we need more from Ed. i dont see it happening though. i think hes reached his limit. he is what he is at this point. we need guys who can make plays when theyre needed. Ed does this a bit, but not nearly enough. mbe he lights it up this season? heres to hoping he does.
  3. Dude, you often make me laugh. I had for years in my garage a “Squish the Fish”. Poster, and bought shirts for my sons and I and told them only on those two Sundays, please wear it. They responded we thought you hated the Cheatriots more (they actually stated cheatriots). I responded, you guys always tell me how old I am at 57, and I suffered through at least the last 7 of the 10 years watching us lose badly to the Fish in the 70’s.
  4. I did not know Trafalgar was also so strong, I will have to keep them in mind if looking at polls
  5. Not a lawyer, so am asking. Have heard it speculated that the real fear CBS had was their employees biases being exposed via the discovery process should this case have moved forward as internal e-mails and the like would have to have been turned over to 47's legal team. Do you, as a lawyer, completely discount that take or is it a credible reason for CBS (and the others such as ABC that have settled) to do so?
  6. Agreed. Just look at who we had in the backfield against KC. I do, however, also think that philosophy was part of the problem. The coaching changes are promising and suggest a more aggressive defense. Although McDermott is seen as conservative, he does have a remarkable willing to change that we have mostly seen play out on offense so far (e.g. installing Brady). However, he seems to learn and be willing to change and I think the learning moment was last year in a 2 game sequence. We were scoring at least 30 points every game but against the Rams, the Rams were aggressive early and stole a couple of possessions and the Bills never caught up. The next week, we played Detroit and we saw a Bills defense start aggressively and do the same thing to Detroit. With an offense that regularly scores 30, a defense can risk giving up a big play or two...but also make some big plays. So, I think he is seeing that they can risk attacking and give up on the bend, don't break defense. Won't know for sure until we see it...but there are very hopeful signs.
  7. starting to get the feeling Diggs may struggle in his post NFL life. sure he has generational wealth, but most of them do before they retire. yet you hear how it was all pissed away and they start acting up when they arent the top dogs anymore. its hard to be a celebrity and then become a nobody. i could be wrong, he could be just fine, smart with his money, whatever, but he isnt the humblest guy and those guys tend to fall the hardest. not wishing for this btw, no hate towards him, just what i see.
  8. Get off the field on 3rd down. The inability to do so last season was incredibly frustrating (especially on 3rd annd long) and was our defenses biggest problem.
  9. We were all scammed!!!!! In other news Kamala is still polling ahead of Trump in Iowa, 51 former intel agents still believe the Hunter laptop is Russian disinformation and those Joe Biden dementia moments? Cheap fakes.
  10. He has roughly the same win percentage as Brian Flores, after adding Tyreek Hill
  11. Yeah there is reason to question Ed Oliver's preparation and ability to perform at his best early in seasons. There always was, IMO, but then when he had the strong season from beginning to end in 2023 after spending that offseason thinking it was his walk year that pretty much spelled it out. When the carrot was there he was in midseason form from the start. By the time he signed that deal the hay was in the barn and he was in top shape. Contract chases tend to motivate. I was actually hoping the Rousseau extension would come in the summer like it did with Oliver. I think Rousseau is probably more of the personality type where he stays ready but still would have liked to see what a contract chase would have done for him.
  12. Darnold and Allen have been friends for years. They actually shared a house at one point when they both were working with a QB coach, Jordan Palmer, in the offseason. I wouldn't be surprised if he already has one, or eventually gets one.
  13. I read the thread title, and figured that it was misfiled from PP&P. * According to the PR flak, defense is hungry. On offense, "everybody eats". Better not let Lunch Lady Gettleman catch wind of this. Training table meals are costly, and must be rigidly policed. 🤨
  14. Well, either Bondi is as dumb as her detractors claim she is, she horribly misspoke months ago and never walked it back, or the administratin still has the "Epstein client list" but isn't releasing it for "reasons." We are almost certain that the list was real; you don't get a John Doe filing an emergency motion which ends up getting upheld by a judge to keep the list under wraps if it doesn't exist. It would make a lot of sense for the list to have disappeared sometime around December; but if it did, Bondi shouldn't have been claiming it was on her desk back in February and Patel and Bongnino shouldn't have been implying the FBI still has the list. And all 3 were doing so. Still believe that several good things have been accomplished in 47's term and none of them would've happened had 46 or his VP won in November. Closing the border, getting several countries interested in signing onto the Abraham Accords, peace in the Congo-Rwanda war, peace (for now) in the India-Pakistan perpetual skirmish, etc. But this is an unforced error and should not be happening. Don't say for months that you have the list and will release it and then flat out say you don't have it without explaining the earlier statements. Is it gone? Was it used to "herd the cats" and get the BBB over the finish line? Will it be used for future indictments if it does still exist? Right now this looks like a W for the "deep state" and it didn't need to be so.
  15. Absolutely bonkers how fast he soured on them. 2 seasons total. Last year signed this deal: Funny they gave him this money after somehow in his FIRST SEASON THERE "Ramsey was regularly late to practices and would constantly undermine former defensive coordinator Vic Fangio and head coach Mike McDaniel." (from article). So this idiot started undermining his DC year one and ran Fangio out of town...... then they gave him a record deal the following year, meanwhile what did Fangio do? Go on to help put the Eagles over the top for a Lombardi lol I cant believe anyone would sign this dude let alone trade assets for him. On top of being a total douche, hes constantly hurt... sounds like a guy i wouldve traded for in Madden because his loud mouth in the media must mean he's good. Pitt loves these types and its baffling. Im all for taking an all upside bet/ zero risk on a guy with supreme talent (a guy disgruntled in one place only is kind of my rule) .... but paying him at the top of his position, after being a douche on your own team too. Absolutely baffling behavior by not only Ramsey, but by the Fins front office lol they deserve everything coming to them II know this will get s*** all over, but the guy was not put into a position to succeed either. I dont think hed make it as a head coach anyways, but that roster is not for some newb coach to handle. If Brady left us after the season I would take MM in a hearbeat!! Smart football guy, with great lockerroom chemistry... he'd have plenty of staff (and players with lockerroom respect) around him to help keep players disciplined. Id absolutely love that scenario to play out
  16. Last I checked MAGA is cutting benefits to Americans and shielding pedos. Sick and sad. And they accuse others of misdeeds. Cope and seethe. If you love children you’ll release the list. If you love pedos you’ll hide it. MAGA chose the latter.
  17. Hopefully we will enjoy the 4th quarter more this year I am so tired of last minute shoot outs.
  18. He isn't that great of a playcaller, even. He routinely abandons the game plan and running game against the Bills because he panics once the Bills get up on them on the scoreboard. He does well when everything goes right, and struggles when things go wrong. He doesn't have the mental toughness or resilience needed.
  19. The wailing and gnashing of teeth. The raging. The coping. The seething. Meanwhile there's likely no orange menace II without a dementia patient POTUS replaced by a cackling hyena moron candidate. only 3.5 more years though. 😂
  20. Exactly. I've had some tell me the Kincaid drop was a harder catch than the Ronnie Harmon debacle. I disagree. An NFL receiver has to come up with that ball.
  21. We at least had hope Republicans would. I'm definitely not for any side that wouldn't release this so the Dems had already disqualified themselves as pedos and yet you voted for them
