The Pride Flag / Month: Intersectionality
BillsFanNC replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
no coincidence that the orange gasbag did this smack in the middle of June. -
Being a Bills fan, led by Josh Allen makes it difficult to act like this oft injured cb being signed by Baltimore matters.
-
That's fine... Bulletin board it...
-
Terrible news for bills fans…. Until he gets injured and misses the playoffs

You are missing the point. My commentary is not about the likelihood of a world war. I am simply observing that we are not seeing the histrionics about WWIII from the usual suspects. Nor are we seeing the anti-interventionist, anti-world police, isolationist rhetoric that we have been subjected to since Putin invaded Ukraine. Now its our patriotic duty to walk back everything we might have said about Ukraine, Afghanistan, and Iraq over the last 8 years. Proxy war, regime change, and intervening in the middle east was always a good idea. Russian nuclear threats were always a joke. They were a joke 4 years ago and they're a joke today. People play along when its politically expedient. When you can throw mud at your opponents and call them all war mongers, you do it. When your guy gets involved in another foreign war, its our moral imperative to liberate the poor Iranian people and you're heartless to think otherwise.

Tier 1 depth at worst.

Yeah, but what he’s sayin’ is fightin’ words ‘round these here parts and some don’t take kindly to that sort of cussin’!
-
My word that Ravens secondary is stacked.

Stay in the NFC? How about hoping to stay on the field. Reason GB let him go and nobody traded for him.
-
Another good player goes to a great team. He will help them. I was hoping that he’d stay in the NFC but 🤷🏻♂️

Oh, Russia threatening nuclear war again. It must be Tuesday. They must be angry the drone plants they rely on for murdering Ukrainians are getting destroyed. Things have changed a lot in the middle east. Israel is literally diplomatically aligned with Saudi Arabia and other arab countries, ones that oppose Iran. Iran has lost Syria and is the force holding down Iraq. This Evil Iranian regime with a nuclear bomb could be more destabilizing than anything. If Iran was smart they would bow to the pressure and be ready to negotiate from a position of weakness. I'm not sure bombing them would "work" but Russian threats are a joke and Iran has no real allies anywhere, as far as I know. Perhaps its the time to act, and letting this situation slip by with Iran poised to make their bomb might be a serious mistake. And for the record, Trump threatening to kill the Iranian leader is a smart move, because in the end the only things these leaders care about is themselves And I'm not saying there are not risks, but at this time they seem lower than waiting for another situation arises where Iran actually has some leverage

RB and WR markets are actually insane.
machine gun kelly replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
So from the OP, WR salaries have gone up, and RB salaries have gone down. There is no question that’s true, but it’s like saying water is wet, and the pope is Catholic. This has been an evolving trend for quite sometime. They get paid what the market reflects. I don’t fault RB’s who are trying to earn their best compensation, nor WR’s taking advantage of the salary burst. They have limited job opportunities, and the smart ones manage their $ well, they can bankroll enough to then start their real careers as they have another 25-30 years like the rest of us. -
They can beat us in the regular season and we can beat them in the playoffs.

An MRI inside Lamar's skull:

I put a lot of blame on the coaching as well. 13 seconds was a debacle from the kickoff to playing "prevent us from winning defense" on both of KC's plays from scrimmage. In the playoff win against Baltimore the offense got way too conservative in the second half. And in the loss at Baltimore, the trick play that Brady called almost knocked Josh out for the season in week 4, and took away all our 2nd half momentum. A lot of people like Brady. But overall his offense play calling is predictable and conservative. (was terrible in short yardage in the AFCCG) And with a QB as dynamic as #17 he needs to be better and open things up. We have good weapons this year. Need to push the ball down the field. You want a take what the defense gives us offense, why pay $300+ million for Josh Allen? Just go get the next Brad Johnson, Teddy Bridgewater or Mitch Trubisky. Maybe even Spencer Ratler. LOL

I unfortunately feel JA has been ranked too high on here. While he is my favorite QB by a mile here is what AI had to say.. Josh Allen is known for his dynamic play, but he has faced scrutiny regarding his performance in critical moments, particularly in high-pressure situations and close games . Points often raised include: Turnovers: Allen has a higher turnover rate compared to some other top quarterbacks, especially in crucial moments. His turnovers have led to significant points for opponents. Playoff losses: The Buffalo Bills have suffered a number of heartbreaking playoff losses, with some instances highlighting Allen's mistakes in crucial moments. For example, a failed quarterback sneak in a recent AFC Championship game against the Chiefs. Close game struggles: The Bills have a less impressive record in one-score games where Allen has a higher turnover rate. However, it's important to consider counterpoints: Clutch performance metrics: Some metrics, like Pro Football Focus grades, show Allen as a top-performing quarterback in the fourth quarter and when trailing. Game-winning drives: Allen has led numerous game-winning drives throughout his career, demonstrating his ability to perform under pressure. Playoff performance (in some instances): Despite some high-profile losses, Allen has also delivered impressive performances in the playoffs, showcasing his ability to lead his team in intense situations. Context of turnovers: While turnovers are costly, some of Allen's turnovers occur on late-game, high-risk plays necessary to win. He also plays "hero ball," extending plays with his legs. In conclusion, while Josh Allen has had some notable struggles and turnovers in critical moments, particularly in close games, his overall performance, including clutch metrics and game-winning drives, paints a more nuanced picture of his ability to perform under pressure.

They're going to cut the gut who dropped yhje conversion before the season starts? He's the reason they lost.

R- Man, that is one of my cousin and I’s favorite movies. We recite lines all the time while kidding around on a weekend check in. That amongst the LW movies, Goodfellas, etc. I’m the one with secret love of Star Trek. I grew up watching that show in the 70’s on Ch. 29. If you are from Buffalo, you know Ch. 29.
