He was the guy I felt like would make an impact this year... press for time... I am holding out hope... plus with our injury situation in the DB pass rush is critical.

I realize Gabe is a major polarizing guy for Bills fans... But from everything I've read so far he will not be ready for the start of the 2025 season. I'm not sure when he will be ready, but for the sake of argument let's just guess at 4-8 weeks in... First we have to assume all is going to be good heath-wise... Lets say that checks out...So if...IF we are talking about signing Gabe Davis, putting him on IR to return at basically the NFL minimum...well... I think that is a no-brainer tbh... Look at the Bills WR's right now. Shakir and Samuel have both missed almost all of camp. Last year Shakir, Samuel, and Coleman all missed time and Cooper was banged up... Again, assuming he's healthy, you're not going to be able to pull a Gabe Davis level talent off the PS if someone goes down late in the season. I know there are a lot of if's... But I can see it making sense...

Joe Marino says Landon played much better against the Bears, and there were signs of pass rush moves. Greg Cossell said he liked Landon as a Pass Rusher. He said Landon played great against Will Campbell and had 4 or 5 reps were Landon won. Greg said in NFL Landon's chest is collapsing on pass rushes, he needs to correct that. It wasnt a problem in college, its better technique. Greg said Landon needs to remember to use his long arms, to attack defender, and that was something Landon excelled on in college

The fact he was hobbling/got up (or didnt immediately stay on ground), in of itself is good news IMO. Tre knows when its serious. Not saying this definitely isnt, but hes not one to walk off when he knows its bad. Hopefully an ankle sprain, which would still suck, but better than alternatives.

the 3-4 days are 404 in the nfl. the system puts linebackers out there to be undermatched.

We'd "save" 1.8 mill in cap if he is cut, but McD loves his vets. I highly doubt he gets cut, but stranger things have happened. There are 7 DT on the camp roster who will or could make the team. Oliver, Sanders and Walker are set. Jones is next, followed by Carter, the suspended Ogunjobi, and Lodge. If you cut Jones, then your only vet depth is Ogunjobi, who is suspended for 6 games and hasn't exactly shined in camp.

I've been saying for years here that there is no real free or strong safety in McDermott's defense You need interchangeable safeties at the NFL level now
