certainly made the Bears fans think theyre going to the Super Bowl this season. so theres that. i continue to be extremely worried about the safeties. i have a feeling that specific position is going to cost us later in the season, again.

Trump capitulates to Putin
BringMetheHeadofLeonLett replied to Thurmal34's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Peace didn't break out. Do you remember watching live as Russian missiles started raining down all over the Ukraine - the first glows in the air, the first strikes on their cities. I don't think I'll ever forget watching that horror unfold, live on television. That was all Putin. There was no military provocation or even a sniff of 'defensive necessity' leading up to that moment. The OP's point is unfortunate and deadly on- the power of the United States, between its own military and the allies it could have summoned, has been shown up by a wannabe, currently 10 tiers below our weight class. To put it into board terms, Trump is the Billy Joe Hobert of presidents. -
Yeah, let's talk paid protesters.

Knox will be a Bills for life. I don't think they are going to cut Knox next season. He will take a pay cut to get the adjusted salary and play here till he retires. I believe the vibe inside OBD for Knox is very different than what the Bills Mafia sees. Then only route with Samuel for this year is the trade route, just like for Epenesa...Both could get traded for 6th or 7th round picks to just get them off the books.

Throughout the game, I kept seeing the same penalties and lack of discipline that have absolutely killed us at the worst times under McDermott. It seems once again that we just can't stop anyone in terms of passing and third down conversions despite the "depth" we've drafted and veterans we've signed. The Bears had 528 passing yards to our 180. Fingers are crossed as always, but if we continue to have the same problems and put more and more pressure on Allen to make up for these deficiencies, it's going to keep being the same results at the end of each season.

Dorsey had 1 season + chump change before he was dumped....It is quite possible for Babich to be gone if he has yet another bad year.

This ridiculous Republican party line talking point saying if you don't support what President Trump is doing in DC then that means you like crime is as dumb as saying if you don't get a COVID vaccine you want to kill Grandma.

Davis Webb calling plays for the Broncos
Buffalo716 replied to Desert Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
There's a thousand guys like that hanging in the balance who have been serving their dues If he's in NFL offensive coordinator for 5 to 10 years that's a success Instantly calling him an NFL head coach is very premature -
LET US IN LET US IN LET US IN LET US IN Said the paid protesters that arrived on a bus.

Youse think preseason week 2 is bad?

I see you're out on parole again! Why don't you accept my phone calls?!? You want my commissary but you don't want to talk to me And that hurts -
In regards to the first, President Trump himself has said he hasn't been able to stop Pooty Poot from doing anything. He said the talks to Pooty Poot on the phone and thinks he has things worked out. Then he hangs up and Melina tells him Russia is dropping bombs. What exactly is President Trump.stopping him from doing?

Preseason Week 2 Bills at Bears - Game thread
JerseyBills replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
overall it's nothing, lot of these guys will never see the field, it's just bit concerning watching our 2nd/3rd stringers get dominated. Just a year or 2 ago we won every pre season game under McDermott I would much rather see how the joint practices went -
If you are cutting Hamlin, do it now...

Preseason Week 2 Bills at Bears - Game thread

football is my life and I literally found any reason to not even watch tonight lol I could care less about all the reactions.. We're talking about we have six or seven open roster spots on our 53... This is not indictive of how our roster will play like opening day We realistically have 10 guys fighting for six spots.. compare that to the bears who have probably have 30 guys fighting for their NFL job I'd rather not even break this down then worry - Today

Preseason Week 2 Bills at Bears - Game thread

And this is why I constantly say I'd rather just invest more in the offense. I don't know how many times I can say it, but spending all the picks & money trying to get the defense right ultimately won't matter as long as McDermott is here. Yes, it's preseason, but this just shows that if any starter goes down (and they will), they have no depth behind them. -

He’s not getting cut. Those guys watched him die on the field. Is what it is -
Shavers is looking better than Moore. I think Shavers will make the active roster. Kristian Wilkerson looks like he's practice squad bound. I know that we are talking about receivers in this thread, but I must say that I like what I've seen from Jimmy Ciarlo. His impact is on special teams, and because of that he will also make it to the practice squad.

The optimism about Moore after we signed him got way way out of control. Many people on here thought he was going to have a bigger role than Keon Coleman. Fans acted like because he's never had good QB play that means his entire career up to this point didn't count. It turns out the NFL does a pretty good job of evaluating its own talent. There's a reason a top 35 pick was cut by his original team after just two seasons, his next team showed no interest in bringing him back, and he was still available to be signed after the draft. People have to learn to let their draft crushes go and accept that some players can have all the talent in the world and still never acclimate to the NFL. Before this game I would have given him a 70% chance of making the roster. Now I'd say just below 50%, and it's only that high because I think they may keep 6 WRs due to Samuel's injury. If the final spot comes down to Moore vs Shavers I don't know how the coaches can look the locker room in the eyes and tell them Moore won that competition. Shavers has played better and he contributes more on special teams. In fact I might put Wilkerson ahead of Moore at this point.

We should be concerned when it's game 3 in the regular season and the defense is still NOT showing up. Will the McDermott Defense Force please stand up if that happens?
