Just wait until KC has a 3rd place schedule next year. They will probably get the #1 seed.

Allen missed a wide open Knox on the final play
IYKYK replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
Some so called bills fans just don’t like Allen. So when he makes a bad play (which every Qb does) they love to point it out and say I told you so!!! We would be a two win team without Allen, but let’s not pick every mistake he makes. Unbelievable! -
Tim Settle and Poona Ford are Exhibits A and B for the prosecution. Both were very good with their previous teams before coming to the Bills. Neither was used effectively while with the Bills. After they left they returned to being very good D linemen. I call this the Bills Disease. Take very good (or better than that) D linemen, and turn them into JAGs. Who knows, even Rousseau and Epenesa might turn out to be good if they go somewhere else. Remember "it's the economy, stupid" well for the Bills "it's the coaching, stupid". The announcers are excusing the Bills trash run defense by repeating the fact that Ed Oliver is out. Well, Oliver is good but not nearly as good as you'd expect from his draft position or from the comments I hear. He gets run over just like the other DTs, and his splash plays are very infrequent.

This is the second high draft choice that's proved to be a "head" case. Remember CB Elam? I know its tough drafting at the end of the 1st two rounds. By then the blue chippers are gone. It also can be difficult to predict who will adjust to adversity in the pros. Sometimes high draft choices excel in college because of above average natural talent and playing for a team loaded with blue chippers. Anyone have any insight into how coachable Colman is? He's not going to beat you with his speed so he's got to do it being a smart route runner but he's not good at that. It seems he was drafted for his height and leaping ability but you can't make a living in the pros specializing in back shoulder catches. Do the Bills have a sports psychologist on staff?

If I kept him, McD would never make another coordinator hire again.

I was extremely hopeful at 4-0 - but the signs were really there, even at that point. I realize now that I let my inner homer take over & was sure that even though we didn't look great, we were still winning and "figuring it out." All we've figured out is that we're not very talented. I'm not sure if we'll get another team like the one we got used to for about 5 years - where we were always top-tier and scary, even in bad stretches. Like, this is a bad stretch - but we're not top tier, and we're not scary. We're just another team now.

Maybe Benford... maybe... he is not playing lights out either.

I'd hire Mike Tomlin. Make Pittsburgh fans happy and get a coach that won a SB with Josh Allen like Big Ben. He'd know how to coach a defense and hold everyone accountable. Wouldn't have to worry about retreads or Carolina has beens -
Greg Rousseau has turned out to be a complete slug.

I’d rather have a light in the pants DT playing Rousseau’s spot for 17 million less. -

Something almost unfathomable... This is the 3rd straight Prime Time loss now, something the Bills and Allen typically have excelled at. -
Josh Allens career win rate is 68.6%, coming into the game we were 70% on the season, after the loss 63.6%. So not really, you can cherry pick the stats around wins and losses but we win around 2/3 of our games and have done so this season.

They would all be tolerable (Cook is a HR) if this team’s 2022-2024 drafts weren’t so awful. The 2025 class still TBD. What all-pro or just pro bowlers have we drafted since 2018 outside of Josh? How many have the legit SB contenders drafted? Thats the measuring stick. Not comparing us to every team - comparing us to the SB caliber Teams with SB rosters. That McD wouldn’t even call ours when he was asked.

Yes, so why not quick slants and more line blockers … 2 tight ends and Gilliam? I’m glad Josh is still walking. -

Good point. High school teams try to avoid doing this. I get if we're trying to milk the clock in protecting a lead but this is happening on almost every snap. It's like the Bills are trying to run out the clock from the get go, shorten the game and protect their defense. -

Who do you most blame for the current state of the Bills?
MPL replied to KentuckyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Me. It's my fault. I got a stupid accounting degree and then pivoted to a career as an ecommerce growth marketer instead of taking an unpaid internship with an NFL team, working my way up through the ranks, and finally, after sacrificing all of my personal time, social life, and developing crippling anxiety and an alcohol problem, landed a seat at the Buffalo Bills decision-makers table where I would say: "it's been over 5 years with McDermott and Allen. This isn't working. History says this isn't going to happen. We've got to make a change before it's too late." To which I would have been told: "lol. you're fired, kid." And then I would be right back here, where I am now, in my stupid tinfoil hat, with my accounting degree hanging crookedly on the wall behind me, hammering my keyboard about 5 YEARS! YOU ONLY GET 5 YEARS! -

Get some damn nasty kick-ass players. Tired of this soft team that folds every time they play a physical team. To hell with the Hapoy Days culture. -

BADOLBILZ replied to Walking Tall's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, that's the market for 8 sack guys who do little else. Rousseau isn't that. He's been the best run defending edge in the NFL since he arrived in the league and finished top 10 in the league in TFL last year. They just gotta' put something competitive on the other side. They haven't been able to do that. His $20M won't limit that.
