We didnt get a blitz in until the Bengals score 3 TDs back to back to back. The blitz comes and it starts to work. Then we keep blitzing and then Burrow sees it coming and starts to torch us again. We got lucky with drops. Then we somehow let WRs get behind our defense up 2 scores at the end of the game and Burrow scores in 30 seconds to make it almost a FG game. Why are we never ahead of the curve and trying to confuse these good QBs?

The issue for the Bills, as you also note, has been the rash of injuries. Hoecht going down was huge. The KC game was maybe the best game I've seen from the Bills-- wrt to pass-rush-- in a long, long time (and Oliver was out). In the passing game, folks complain about the WRs not being able to get open, but maybe it's also the other team's defense? Look at KC vs Houston last night and compare that to the Bills vs Houston. Buffalo out-gained the Texans in yards 326 to 261 (+65 yards); KC out-gained them 274 to 268 (+6 yards), and KC had homefield advantage. Kincaid missed that game, and he may be their most significant threat in the pass game (as Beane likes to point out regarding criticism about WRs). So, again, as fan(atic)s, we get hypercritical. Just look at the posts after a loss like Miami's (I can't remember if this was the loss that had some poster suggest sitting Josh?) vs Pittsburgh's win (or yesterday's). As I've learned here, I give The Board a few days to calm down after losses, then return to reading things around Wednesday, when the posts start getting somewhat rational again... 😄

No adversity? They've won games without Rhamondre Stevenson, Carlton Davis, Christian Gonzalez, Willie Campbell, Kayshon Boutte, Milton Johnson, K'Lavon Chaisson just time name a few, throughout the season in games spread out and still won on a consistent basis every week and in two hostile environments vs two contenders in Buffalo and Tampa Bay as well as the best pass defense in the league at the time in the Atlanta Falcons.. wouldn't say they faced no adversity.

We lost by 4... without Kincaid and Palmer. Without chipping their ends and giving our tackles any help, an adjustment we would be sure to fix in a rematch. We can beat the Texans.

Taron Johnson has had such an up and down career but this season it feels different. It's likely time to move on. I don't think there's any real answer on the roster though.

The wife, without checking with me, made plans for us to take her mother Christmas shopping. it doesn't, though. & the bills didn't lose to the Jets. lol the Bills net losses based on talent and effort are far below the losses of the Patriots. the Bills losing to the Fins and Falcons were very important. both those opponents played their best games of the season at that moment. the patriots have shown up and outlasted in many games they should have lost. the first year effect of Vrabel has been a big part of that. but now that we are in december the Bills play their best ball and Allen goes Alien. will that matter against the patriots? no, regardless of any outcome. the Bills are not winning the division.
