your probably not wrong..but i just think its too easy sometimes, especially with better teams to get caught behind the 8ball when your approach is lackadaisical until its no longer an option. and yeah your right about keeping it away from Kc but again it got so bad that our only answer was the tush push for 8 plays that didnt work.

I'm of the opinion that Josh (and Brady) don't want to push plays like that early in this season. Deep throws are low percentage and the Bills are winning now with high percentage plays.

I had predicted the Bills would win by 15 in a text just before the game. 35-20 When I soon realized Tre White, the former starting caliber cornerback, was the today the starting corner, covering Waddle, maybe Hill a little, I sent him a text saying 'reverse that score', though I took it back right after. But said, have said on here since the signing, that Tre White can no longer play corner in the NFL, and is definitely no longer a starting corner. It is very complicated to explain why this is the case: Tre White is very slow now, runs like my fat as* uncle I sent the text too, and i told him this. While most of the receivers he will play against are very fast. If I can see this, why can't the Bills' coaches? Tre White cannot be our starting corner, and should only be used on certain running downs. Yup, some good plays, two great ones, a pass break up and run stop, but he cannot consistently be successful as an NFL corner. To me this means he cannot play corner anymore. Why? He will get burned again and again, and again, and again, and those few good plays a game, or more, will mean nothing. Time to coach.

So we have to hope Keon can learn to do the one thing he can do man up, which is win with physicality. Failed to do that again today on his one outside target. I do know a Spags Defense will key on the fact we only successfully throw inside the numbers down the field to slots, tight ends and running backs or around the LOS.

This defense is going to get better as the season wears on. Anyone expecting a giant step forward from last year in just the first few weeks probably had some unrealistic expectations. First, it was a short week. Also, Milano and Oliver were out (as were Jackson, Ingram, and Hancock). We'll eventually get Hairston and the suspended guys back. The rookies (and Bishop) are getting valuable playing time and should get better as the season goes on (Walker played well today after one poster last week had already written him off after just two games). A lot of new guys on the D-line (7 new players), the more they play together, work the rotations, the better they will get/more in sync they will be. And there are probably some new wrinkles from the new coaches that they will integrate better and rep more often, etc. Gotta give it all a little bit of time to gel. And it's not like Miami had some crazy offensive numbers/night. They had 9 possessions: 3 TDs (one that should have been a punt or a 4th and 5 try instead, Hill was out of bounds on that 3rd---why was there no replay assist on that, like there was on the Miami first down late in the game?), 4 punts, 1 TO, end-of-game. So, we stopped them on 6 of 9 (should have been 7 of 9) possessions. Tua threw for 146 yards 2 TDs 1 INT Achane led the backfield with 62 yards 0 TDs Hill led the receivers with 49 yards and 1 TD Waddle added 39 yards and 1 TD Total offense: 276 yards Points: 21 Vs. Again Brady teams did this in the regular season against certain teams all the time.. it's the NFL.. the dolphins could bring their a game we could bring our c+ game and win Even when it was 14-14 we barely opened it up.. this felt more like a glorified game where the outcome was known not an actual dog fight.. tua threw for 140 yds.. I never thought this game was close despite the score

Even before the missed FG - the previous play where Josh got sacked, it looked like if he had just stepped to his right instead of up into the teeth of the rush, he would’ve had wide open space to scramble. That drive really should’ve been the kill shot - was very frustrating. I’m sure Josh was frustrated too.

Kincaid led all pass catchers tonight. Coleman's contribution little different than that of Shavers. Shakir is still the best actual receiver. No receiver is being featured in the pre-game hype show. Everybody eats is so 2024. That Allen doesn't have his Butler/Lewis/Reed/Lofton/Moulds/ etc. is a shame.

I'm done hijacking the Groot thread after this one, but I'd add that that confidence also probably stems from the fact that his body feels like it's supposed to again and he's willing to cut and drive because he's not worried about further injury. And that is massive news, imo. The bad guys make good plays too. That was a great no-look escape that beats 90% of blitzers who have the pedal buried, imo.

The question is who do you trust? I trust Prater more than Bass. I'd stick with him unless he becomes erratic.

Hate to say it but Gabe Davis might be our only answer to this problem this season. Not a big fan of Gabe because I think his route tree is limited, I think he is not on the same page as Josh, and I think he drops too many balls. He did however get open downfield when he last played for us. I also think its partially an offensive philosophy thing, but I agree our receivers are struggling to get open.

White was hilarious attempting to cover Waddle. I dunno how bad Strong had been in practice in zone and run support but my lord Did GR even play the 2nd half? I kept seeing AJE

The best call McDermott made all night was sneaking in a Time Out to negate the Dolphins false start. It was 3rd and 5, and the Dolphins were trying to jump early to get to 3rd and 10, since that was a gimme all night.

maye put up 230 yards on 23 attempts. Allen was fairly accurate but i wouldnt call it masterful. most of the passes werent much different than a running play depth wise.

We all have our opinions, but I sternly disagree.

I honestly would stick with Prater until he gives you a reason not to. The Bills also could stick Prater back on the Practice squad but that does open him up to being signed. We now have a veteran spot available again due to Dan Feeney going to the Buccaneers.

I agree to a point. We don't have that WR that makes the deep shot a high probability play. But I also think they're fanatically devoted to their plan.

I would hope, as the season progresses and Moore's play continues, he will.

Hanging out in the lot while I write this. The name of the game here was stone cold efficiency. It isn't the flashiest or most entertaining thing, but it's 5 and half a rush and 7 and a half a pass over and over and over. What we saw out there on offense is the sort of thing that wins titles. Be efficient, be smart, attack and score, and go get when you need. 5/8 scores excluding the end of half, should have been 6/8 if they make the easy fg. I think the game turns into a laugher if they make that FG and go up ten. Bad game for special teams with the muffed punt, big return surrender and missed fg. Nothing terribly costly today, but that unit needs to clean it up. The defense is a work in progress. Miami was trying to go short and quick to get the ball to their athletes, and that worked well for them. Ultimately, better teams make less mistakes. Buffalo made less mistakes and won here.
