I wish i could be somewhat comfortable with either of them as No. 2 but they are both kinda uninspiring. I am watching Dallas and the rams. Dallas is playing all backups for some reason and they looked awful. They might have the worst group of corners in the league. all their penciled in starters are hurt. i wanted to see Donovan ezeiraku and he looked pretty helpless against the run.

In fairness, barring injury Davidson was not going to make the roster ahead of Hawes and while I was a bit disappointed in Hawes' performance today, he was always going to make the final roster as a 5th round pick. I've heard enough positive out of practices and those who watched him in college that I'm not concerned with his game today.

I am not a fan as I have stated many times of the defensive free agent class. I am of the opinion that it was really bad and Beane blew it. Today didn’t make me feel any different. Ogunjobi, hoecht, Forrest all looked pretty pedestrian at best. I don’t care how bosa played today because I know who he is as a player. If they missed on Jackson and Hairston is on ir to start the season this defense is going to cost this team a bunch of games. That is just to many misses in one offseason on the defensive side of the ball when they are in desperate need for difference makers. Hopefully sanders, walker, Hancock and strong can help and improve each week.
