Preseason Week 2 - Post Updates Here
BigAl2526 replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
There is no indication Dawkins had to be helped walking to the training room, nor was it mentioned that he limped, so if it was a lower body injury (legs, ankles/ feet) the odds are it wasn't too serious. If it was not lower body, then we're looking at arms shoulders, collar bone, ribs, back or concussion. With ribs, it is an issue of pain management until they heal up. We all know about concussion protocol, of course. There are some possibilities that are more likely than others. Most of the season ending possibilities are lower body, and he probably wouldn't be walking off the field without assistance or limp if it was one of those. -
I think part of it is that there aren't many early (nice weather) 1:00 games.

The annual QB tier rankings from The Athletic
DCOrange replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
The best part is Stafford moved UP into Tier 1 this year. He gained 5 Tier 1 votes compared to 2024. He wouldn't be my choice but I do think he has an argument for being the 5th best QB in the league right now, but #5 is simply nowhere near the same tier as the top 4. -
Yea I am not driving 1600 miles and paying for a hotel on my way up and back without having tickets in hand. Guess I am just weird like that.

Can anyone remember anything from their pre school?
Ridgewaycynic2013 replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall
Closest I had to preschool was the half day kindergarten in the Buffalo Public Schools. At least with the afternoon session, I could watch the morning reruns of the CBS comedies, then hide between the sofa back and wall in an attempt to miss school. Never worked. đ I recall the teacher for kindergarten who started the year went off early on some sort of medical leave. We had a constant churn of various teachers, some were rigid taskmasters, some handed us crayons and paper and left it at that. First grade straightened out the situation, and I still recall 60 years later the homeroom teachers, and once we hit 6th grade, the various teachers for the core subjects. -
Lol sure as hell you can. I rarely get to Buffalo (9.5 hours by car) with tickets in advance. When I do they're from someone I know at face or reasonable cost. There has been a hundred times I've told my secret way to getting great seats or even front row playoff seats for $150ish. I am going. Responsible for 6 tickets. I'll wait until the week before. I know my budget for my two: $1500. I won't even begin to shop until the season starts. Carolina fans are too busy for tickets and being obssesed with NASCAR, golf, and trying to make it with their cousin.

Training Camp News - Around the League version
DCOrange replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep. They've seemingly improved the offensive line a ton (and to be honest, folks put way too much of the sacks on the OL last year...they were average at best but they weren't a trainwreck like a lot of people suggested they were) and the pass catchers around Caleb should be pretty good. There's really no excuse for that offense to struggle in 2025. -

Has anyone had that Pittsford Farms Dairy from Hard Knocks?
DCOrange replied to Billsfed1's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, as I mentioned before, it holds up well against any ice cream place I've been to in the US, and I have been to a ton of them lol. The good gelato places in Italy are understandably a cut above, but Pittsford Dairy, the creamery in PA that I mentioned, and one hidden gem in DC that I've found are probably the best ice cream I've had here. -
Most people agree with you, we wish we had come across a couple more difference makers instead of B+ players. What youâre seeing here is reaction to the idea that we can judge the Hairston pick because we can see his career before heâs ever played a game. Thatâs different.

So I left Rochester around 18 years ago, don't think Pittsford Dairy was there then, plus I lived northwest of city so didn't get out that was very often. For the 30+ years I was there Abbotts was #1, so do question which one is better. Personally I liked Schalers better than Abbotts as was a bit "fluffier" it seemed. But Abbotts was the most talked about.

Whatâs the moment you want most in old Highmark?
BillsPride12 replied to Billsfed1's topic in The Stadium Wall
Closing the stadium out with a home AFC championship game win over the Chiefs preferebly but I'll take it against whoever 70,000 plus standing ovation with tears in their eyes and chants of SUPER BOWL and THANK YOU BILLS -
They need Cook. I like Ty and Ray but they donât have Cookâs speed. Hopefully they got something done thatâs a reasonable number.

Beane revealing that Von would have been on the team for 13 seconds if he had his way was news to me. -

I'd be happy if the Chiefs didn't get to the championship game. Let's beat them in the divisional round and then beat some other team like the Ravens in the championship game. -

Tried it just a couple months ago, when we were bringing back my younger son from his Freshman year in College. Stopped at one of those amazing looking produce stands that have all kinds of fresh fruits and vegetables, and saw they also had garlic ice cream, so had to try it. The upshot is we got 20 avocados for $1.00 and a small cup of garlic ice cream for $5.00. Somebody's been to business school! 𤣠The ice cream was good, and the guacamole I made when I got home was outstanding!!
