I can hope can’t I? Better than just excepting some wr coach that no one has ever heard of taking the reins or something.

Ridiculous It's not the QBs job to have the team prepared to play -

I didn't see a whole lot of pressures either. As I think you pointed out earlier, there isn't one difference maker on this defense. In fact the only guy who might be getting their is Bishop. And after Allen & Cook there isn't a difference maker among the skill players on offense. And while I think Kincaid could be a difference maker he's missed to many games and when he's healthy the McD/Brady offense doesn't even have him on the field for half the snaps. -

I mean at the end of the day Tom Brady would chew out players and so would Peyton Manning You follow your leader which is your quarterback I'm not blaming Josh... We've all seen this team doesn't rise every week compared to what it's sometimes does against a big time opponent Sean McDermott has been the same guy for 9 years.. he is consistent Josh gives us way more ebbs and flows.. I understand the grind of a 17 game regular season with postseason and even Tom Brady didn't wake up 17 times If Josh is saying they wanted it more he also means it includes him.. not that he's the problem When Josh has the troops riled up... You usually see a different team This was a short week on the road a great defense.. maybe the bills don't care if they have to play the Patriots in the postseason because they think they're going to wake up for that and they're not worried enough one game take all I'm just spitballing... Because we have to hope -

Bosa, AJE and Rousseau combined for zero sacks. Anderson and Hunter had 4.5 sacks. Difference between flashes and production. -

You won’t get any arguments from me that Beane has failed to find difference makers. I was screaming for Troy Franklin when we took the JAG Dewayne Carter. He’s also missed too many times on free agency and a few guys have bad contracts we need to shed. -
I was at the game and let me tell you what was happening downfield

For reference, the cap is expected to be between $295-$300M. Not great, Beane.

I would agree with you IF the Bills brain trust structured their offense & coaching to best utilize their generational MVP QB. But they haven't. Instead they have built an offensive roster & strategy that diminishes the role of their MVP QB. It's insane and football malpractice. I can't think of any other Super Bowl contending team that would choose to go in this direction with Allen at QB. -
Division is out at this point…have to do it as a wildcard
LEBills replied to Billsfed1's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think this team is too flawed to do it, but if there was a year make a run as a wildcard, this is the year. Broncos, Patriots, Colts, and Steelers have not won a playoff game since 2018 or earlier. Experience does matter in the playoffs. Bills, Ravens or Chiefs could find a way to beat inexperienced teams with young or mediocre quarterbacks. -

BullBuchanan replied to Billsfed1's topic in The Stadium Wall
What does it matter? This team is in no way a championship contender, and that's the only point of going to the playoffs. It might be better if they don't make it. Missing the playoffs entirely could force staff and player changes, refocus some of our veteran players, and create a fire for next season. A week 1 or 2 exit in the playoffs will result in the same thing we've seen the last 7 years. -

The offense has Allen and Cook. That's really about it Meanwhile the defense has the full attention of the HC plus all the draft and FA resources...and you guys just whine about what the QB couldn't do when we lose, I mean ffs we literally drafted 5 straight defensive picks...zero first round wideouts ever...seriously, what were you expecting to happen against a defense like this? -

Thanks to 8 sacks, the inability to control the ball, and 3 turnovers. I’m not excusing the first half defense, just providing perspective. While our defense couldn’t stop their offense in the first half, our offense wasn’t good enough to put up points against their defense the entire game. -

BADOLBILZ replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Oh the window isn't closed on Josh Allen. But the easiest years of his career to win are absolutely gone. Literally. Last year they were still sorta' in it with the weak division etc.. But this year they are officially past that. Unless they find the rare difference making HC and GM combo to help overcome their talent deficiencies and/or find some elite talent to help offset the impending $50M cap hits for their QB........ they are probably going to have to get lucky and clank one in from the rough from here on out. -

Yeah you defintely make good points. The fact that they never tried to build this into an offensive machine is a great tragedy of wasted opportunity. When you have Josh, you should not be ball control. It’s just a failure of epic proportions and I place it at the feet of McDermott and Beane. I don’t understand blaming Josh or Brady. This is what this brain trust built and this is what they wanted, and it’s dumb. -

You're not going to look perfect when your pass blocking gives up EIGHT sacks on your QB and he's under pressure and hit even more than that. Without taking into account multiple times when he stayed down on the ground. And when your weapons aren't getting open and you have to force throws, playing from behind - as has been the case practically all season. I said it all offseason, even before we saw how poor our pass catching unit would be, that expecting him to be the perfect MVP player he was every single season isn't fair to him. We're now at a point where anything less than perfect is "below average". And that also isn't fair to him. I can't tell you why you should or shouldn't watch the Bills this season. That's up to the person. Personally, i'll always cheer them on every weekend and hope we win. But you have to have literal blind optimism and a ridiculous level of homerism to ignore all the many issues with this team beyond the build of the roster to honestly think we have a shot to win a Super Bowl with this team. -

Their elite defense gave up 12 points to our elite quarterback. Our pipsqueak defense gave up 23 to a backup quarterback. The elite defense seems preferable in the nfl. -

Or... now, hear me out for a second... this is the only team in the league whose roster he would make because, like the rest of the WR room, he's just NOT THAT GOOD.
