Will Josh Allen Play Tmrw vs Bears
BuffaloBillyG replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
Teams have been doing more joint practices with other teams in the last few years and pulling back starters in the actual games. Allen has had live reps against the Bears for the last few days. Playing a series or two tonight wouldn't make much difference. -
Following up, the Bills 10 longest Touchdown pass plays in Highmark

Isiah Robertson and Jim Haslett got into drunken bar brawl late night. Robertson bit Haslett finger. That’s 2/3 of Bermuda Triangle. They were laughing about it the next day, and Haslett said his finger still hurts Paul Maguire tells a hilarious story, with Paul’s wit, Bills had a huge game against the Patriots. Pregame, in the locker room, Cookie said everybody better play the best game of their life. Because if the Bills lost, Cookie would beat the hell out of every one in that locker room, starting with the coach. Bills stomped the Pats night lol -

So with more than half over voters thinking Allen will play, I will let McDermott know. -

Hey that’s all amazing on paper man. And I hope more than anything it works out as designed. This will be an indictment on Mcdermotts defense if these guys are all healthy and the result is the same. -
Sorry, I don't bring God into the matter. Of course I want the Bills to win, just as much as anyone. I've been a fan since about 1963 when I was old enough to even know what football was. But God has a lot of far more important things to work on. Russia out of Ukraine, completely. Hamas, Israel and Russia punished for war crimes. Ends to the wars in SE Asia, southern Asia, and western Asia. Gazans getting all the food and medicine and water they need, and money from every country that helped Israel destroy Gaza, to rebuild it. Return of US funding for PEPFAR and USAID which kept millions of people alive but which is now stopped. These are far more serious matters, worthy of God's attention, than making us Bills fans happy.

I don’t think you’re reading the numbers accurately. Those 2026 numbers are favorable to be cut, but not this season. Knox is essentially at 21 million dollar bath to cut at this point. No way we are just cutting ties with him for that number. He is still a good player and will play substantial snaps. There is no cap savings this year from his release. Next season is a different story, with 7mil guaranteed and dead, you’d likely save 10 mil with his release in 26. Curtis Samuel is pretty much the same. No cap relief this year from cutting him still owing his full salary (9mil) this year and on the hook for 3 mil guaranteed next year Thats 12 mil dead on a release this year. Next season saves 6.5 in cutting him in 26. I am with you that they are not worth the numbers but there is literally zero benefit to there release unless there is a clearly better option to roster at this point. Next year they will likely be gone, to the tune of taking 16.5 mil off the current cap number, while still wasting 10 mill im dead money.

Chill LT, chill. No rookie should be talking that kind of smack. -

I think Samuel is almost definitely getting cut if I’m reading these Spotrac numbers correctly. My “dark horse” to get cut is Dawson Knox, which is all dependent on where Hawes is at. But looking at the cap savings between just Knox and Samuel, you’ve already freed up a large chunk to acquire a difference maker like Hendrickson or Garret. Its hard justifying keeping Knox at his number when they’ve already invested a 1st at the position with Kincaid to be the receiving threat, Hawes is the 6th/7th OL basically, and then Davidson can be the reserve, plus Gilliam in a pinch. No way a TE2 is worth what is essentially a 2yr $23 million deal (with bonuses), even if he is buddies with the QB. Dead cap is $7mil, if you take the emotions out of it, seems like a no brainer.

Considering that Trump is cracking down on illegal immigration and ramping up deportations - in a proper society this would be the top story in the country.

They already have him penciled in as the starter. Seems like a great situation to come into. Njigba on one side, Kupp in the slot, and Darnold who has a bit of the gunslinger mentality. -
What I picture with these threads is that Trump is Benny Hill with the dems/libs (and the loons hare) running after him with Yakety Sax playing in the background.

I didn't scout a lot last year, but I had scouted Horton a couple years ago and was really impressed by him. -
Keeping SVPG on PUP is the easiest and best answer. Possible injuries and roster views will make it clearer after 4 weeks. Jacob Mayer was said to be looking good earlier in camp and should be easy to get on the PS as an Anderson backup if needed. “If a player starts the NFL season on the Reserve/PUP list, they are eligible to return during the season after missing at least the first four games. Teams then have a five-week window to begin a 21-day practice period, during which the player can be activated to the 53-man roster.“

Cam Newton had a shoulder injury which ruined his arm He could still run his entire career lol I have posted multiple statistics over the years which breaks down 30 years of quarterback injuries showing that running quarterbacks do not get hurt at any more rate than a pocket passer In fact it's safer outside the pocket than inside the pocket and Josh Allen is taking on smaller corners and safeties , even some linebackers are smaller than Josh when he gets outside the pocket Inside the pocket you are stationary with 300 hound men flying around your kneecaps... Most quarterback injuries happen inside the pocket over the last 30 years and no data shows running quarterbacks are more likely to be hurt Josh is usually delivering blows not taking them... Most defensive backs don't want to tackle Josh
