Asante Samuel (Sr) speaks out on the Dolphins...

I dont think it's his "looks". There have been plenty of "twerpy" coaches that players love and respect. But it's more his demeanor. That cool guy/joking/"for the memes" schtick only works when you are winning. The second adversity hits, it falls apart. And there is lots of adversity in the NFL for every team. Yeah, Flores had an owner and GM who were actively tanking as opposed to going all-in with McDaniel. Yet the records are the same... -

Federal judge recommends case continue against Hannah Dugan A federal magistrate judge said Monday that the Justice Department's criminal case against Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan should move forward and recommended that her bid to dismiss the indictment be denied. Dugan was arrested in April and charged with two federal counts after she was accused of helping a man who is in the U.S. illegally evade federal immigration authorities during a law enforcement operation at her courthouse in Milwaukee. She pleaded not guilty to one count of concealing an individual to prevent arrest, a misdemeanor, and one count of obstruction, a felony. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/hannah-dugan-wisconsin-judge-magistrate-recommendation/ -
I think from a talent perspective, they've missed on getting some big-playmaker type guys. Instead, I think they've been focusing on the wrong style of players across the board; fast, but slightly undersized. Having some of those guys is okay, but it's led the team to the bend-but-don't break world. I think what a lot of fans are looking for is a more stout front-7. Shut down running games, and force long fields. Quit living the red zone defensively! And btw.....is this the official start of the hype-video season?

8.5 million for that house is insane. California and their housing market is on crack. -
2019 in general was by far his worst draft though when you factor in opportunity cost. That was likely the last time in the Allen era that we will have a top 10 pick, in every round at that. With that capital we took Oliver over the myriad of better defensive players taken after him, Cody Ford over AJ Brown and DK Metcalf, and Singletary over Terry McLaurin. Maxx Crosby was taken after we drafted Knox. So we had multiple opportunities to draft all-time franchise players and instead got decent players or busts. It is what it is.

I swear the Bills have the worst defense in history on 3rd and longs. If only I weren't too lazy to do the research and see if that's true or not.

Eh it wasn't that similar Mahomes threw them out of the game. Hurts wasn't exactly lighting it up in the first half -

we need more from Ed. i dont see it happening though. i think hes reached his limit. he is what he is at this point. we need guys who can make plays when theyre needed. Ed does this a bit, but not nearly enough. mbe he lights it up this season? heres to hoping he does.

Dude, you often make me laugh. I had for years in my garage a “Squish the Fish”. Poster, and bought shirts for my sons and I and told them only on those two Sundays, please wear it. They responded we thought you hated the Cheatriots more (they actually stated cheatriots). I responded, you guys always tell me how old I am at 57, and I suffered through at least the last 7 of the 10 years watching us lose badly to the Fish in the 70’s. -

Not a lawyer, so am asking. Have heard it speculated that the real fear CBS had was their employees biases being exposed via the discovery process should this case have moved forward as internal e-mails and the like would have to have been turned over to 47's legal team. Do you, as a lawyer, completely discount that take or is it a credible reason for CBS (and the others such as ABC that have settled) to do so? -
Agreed. Just look at who we had in the backfield against KC. I do, however, also think that philosophy was part of the problem. The coaching changes are promising and suggest a more aggressive defense. Although McDermott is seen as conservative, he does have a remarkable willing to change that we have mostly seen play out on offense so far (e.g. installing Brady). However, he seems to learn and be willing to change and I think the learning moment was last year in a 2 game sequence. We were scoring at least 30 points every game but against the Rams, the Rams were aggressive early and stole a couple of possessions and the Bills never caught up. The next week, we played Detroit and we saw a Bills defense start aggressively and do the same thing to Detroit. With an offense that regularly scores 30, a defense can risk giving up a big play or two...but also make some big plays. So, I think he is seeing that they can risk attacking and give up on the bend, don't break defense. Won't know for sure until we see it...but there are very hopeful signs.

starting to get the feeling Diggs may struggle in his post NFL life. sure he has generational wealth, but most of them do before they retire. yet you hear how it was all pissed away and they start acting up when they arent the top dogs anymore. its hard to be a celebrity and then become a nobody. i could be wrong, he could be just fine, smart with his money, whatever, but he isnt the humblest guy and those guys tend to fall the hardest. not wishing for this btw, no hate towards him, just what i see.

Get off the field on 3rd down. The inability to do so last season was incredibly frustrating (especially on 3rd annd long) and was our defenses biggest problem.
