Do The Bills Have A Passing Game Problem?
Big Turk replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
From "hanging"? The Bills had a 64% of winning the game with 13:45 left in the 4th. That decidedly does not sound like they couldn't "hang" with them, and were tied at 29 with 3.5 minutes to go in the 4th. As always, the defense that plays one way against KC in the regular season but completely differently in the playoffs rears it's ugly head. -
Going into the Jets game, I realized I hadnt done laundry the whole week since the Ravens game. So I dug into the hamper and put on the same Bills T-shirt I wore for the Sunday Night opener (A t-shirt "jersey" with HULL 67 on the back). Still havent washed it. Wore it again last night. Will not wash it and will wear it next week too. Youre welcome!

Tua is a much better QB than Fields and the Dolphins team is built around Tua skillset. The same can't be said for the Jets. Glenn is still trying to figure who his team is like who he wants to keep, who needs to go. Bottomline the Dolphins are a better team than the Jets; hence harder for the Bills to deal with. Right now, I just want to deal with them as they come.

I felt this exactly - score and go for 2 bc they had nothing to lose. Would have been an extremely stressful ending glad we didn't have to find out

Do The Bills Have A Passing Game Problem?

I don't think it's really cherry picking. Who cares what the offense did with Daboll or Dorsey? 90% of the players are different now, the OC is different and all of the assistants are different. We also run a completely different offense, it isn't like Brady is a "spiritual successor" of his predecessors. This current version of the Bills offense has not shown the ability to pass the ball intermediate/deep consistently and that has hurt us in games against good defenses. It allowed the Ravens to come back last playoffs, and it prevented the Bills from hanging with KC in the AFCCG. It will likely hurt us again this season unless they can figure something out. -

Josh is aging and the window is slowly closing. Pumping the gas pedal is a good strategy. December, January and February is when it gets real. -
Moar free speech violations. Now they're arresting people!

Yeah, and our shock at any Bills' fan flippantly saying, 'Let 'em walk,' etcetera over the off season is till fresh in all of our heads. That we can easily get a replacement... ...and Some saying they would very happy to get a 3rd round pick!!! (for the running back we chose in the 2nd round, a steal, and who we groomed into an elite back--a 3rd round pick!!!! Want to destroy an NFL team from the bottom up? Do outrageously stupid things like that. ...and that 13, 15 million a year was an outrageous number... I will now say it again on here--by the end of this year the current contract, and even a 15 mil a year one, will look like a tremendous bargain for what (almost-see my bold above) everyone, will consider to be one of the top backs in the league, if not the best back. A vital cog in the best offense in the NFL

up- Cook Kincaid Walker down- Rousseau DTs other than Walker Ray Davis- just because James and cook are so much better

My biggest gripe with White is not that he couldn't cover Waddle on a short crosser across the formation, while avoiding a rub, very few DBs can even in their prime. It's that he came in as a free rusher on 3rd and 12, had Tua dead to rights and did not play under control to ensure he made the play, allowing Tua to easily avoid him, roll out left and hit Hill for a big 3rd down conversion. I'd expect that from a rookie, not from a pro's pro like White. That was inexcusable.

And if you ask any of those 58 why they voted against it they'll hand wave and tell you that while they condemn the assassination and all political violence they won't honor the legacy of a "fascist" The very same rhetoric that resulted in his murder. Truly evil people.

Joey Bosa will kick his ass if he doesn't help with the weekly chores

Yeah the roster spot crunch is looking real interesting. I'm not dismissing the idea they give up a pick to trade Curtis Samuel just to clear cap for next year and get the spot just so they don't have to cut anyone they see long term

Gilliam is a core ST player part of the reason the team carries him

The Patriots did this to us for 20 years

It never felt like we were going to lose last night. Any type of disappointment is only because I wanted them to Mortal Kombat style 'Finish Them', which I thought they were well on there way to, until the missed field goal. There was a point where I thought just score 1 more TD and their heads will drop. Plenty to work on, just keep winning. -

Do The Bills Have A Passing Game Problem?

Im coming around to others stating this is a philosophy of keep away/mistake free football.... but this is exactly what im talking about to those "WEVE AVERAGED THE MOST POINTS" people. Im far from freaking out. I can see why this strategy has its appeal.... at the same time, we are not great or even good against the run. The best way to compliment this, is to open it up a bit early. Allow the offense to get in some rhythm, check that box off, get some earlier quick points, and slam the door on teams running the ball on us. It also allows our developing pass rush DT's + Solomon to get some extra pass rush reps, and hopefully develop that angle of their game quicker. TL:DR Open it up 1.5 Quarters to start game. Pour on some points. Take away teams abilities to hang by running the ball. Let Bosa & Co pin their ears back. Get that early padding, THEN we can throw it in our cruise control mistake free, Triple TE formations rest of game if we decide. -
Feels like weve played a lot of contain so far this year and heโs doing his thankless job well. The disconnect between fans and pff over groot will continue this week too haha with Miami you absolutely have to sell out to stop the wide runs and that seemed like the huge focus
-
I felt the same up until the inception drive. I was worried that they would run the clock down to seconds left, score and go for 2- leaving Josh no time.
-
I am not ready to write Tre off. It is one of the better WR tandems in the league and one of the fastest. But it seemed like Tre was picked on more so than Benford.

Not only might he replace Anderson for the Jumbo set, but also really interesting is perhaps Gilliam in those FB sets. Making Gilliam expendable would open up a spot when Hoecht or Max come back
