Seems like a bit too much panic right now
Fan in Chicago replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
As is said, we can only control our own games. While it will look underwhelming, if we go, say, 13-4 and still get the top seed, I won't be disappointed. I will hope though that we would be finding our sea legs and stay relatively healthy by the time the playoffs roll around. Falcons appears to be a "must win" just to alleviate our fears that this team is a pretender and not a real contender. I had said earlier in a different post - there isn't a fully dominant team in the NFL at this point. We look at our angelic baby too often and worry it is uglier than the neighbor's. When in reality, the other poor sap is thinking the same. -

Sorry but this is a year every team in the NFL is flawed. We aren't fools gold to win the Super Bowl. We haven't been that since 2020. This team has been perfectly capable of winning a Super Bowl since 2021. We just haven't done it. -
Can you provide data from other teams that shows this is true because this seems wrong.

The Upcoming Trade Deadline: 2025 Edition
BuffaloRebound replied to ryguy101's topic in The Stadium Wall
You trade Coleman without thinking twice especially for a younger guy like Olave. -
I know a good number of Blue Jays fans locally Buffalo is a strange mix for MLB. It has nothing to do with hating cities (although my strong dislike of NYC adds to my dislike of the yankees). We probably have the most Yankees fans. We share the same state and each generation had a strong dynasty and it passed down and younger generations were rewarded with perpetually successful teams. Then comes the Mets, Indians, Blue Jays. Then Red Sox and Pirates.

Because the US burned York in 1813. đ 9/10 Canadians live within 100 miles of America... If there wasn't an international border, BFLo-TOR would be like Milwaukee & Chicago... We've really drifted away from the "Golden Horseshoe" since 911... At one time the biggest cities on Lakes were Chicago & BFLo. Now, Chicago & Toronto. I resent the Seaway. Because what turned Toronto into an international city, killed Buffalo economically, been struggling since.

As OC? Sure, he could be dynamic with Josh. I donât like him as HC but think heâd get a lot out of this offense despite his inability as a leader. He doesnât need to be a leader here though. Josh does that. What I want in the next HC, fresh ideas and an attacking mentality. I want swagger. I want to try to blow teams out. I want to attack on defense. Blitz, jump routes, and just play down hill. Youâll get beat over the top from time to time but if you make a few plays so be it. Get a handful of stops a game and youâd never lose. On offense I want the gas pedal down. Play with tempo. Throw it all over the yard and use the dynamic running game to complement it (not the other way around). I want them to go on 4th all the time (McD is pretty good about this). I want an offense that tries to score every play (and thinks that they will). I want them to be hard to play against like a team that plays full court press the whole game -60 minutes of hell. I donât need a conservative organizer. Thatâs already been established by McD. I want someone that will look across the field at Mahomes and Reid and think âkeep up.â Thatâs just a totally different mentality than âletâs outlast them.â

Maybe he wants to win with honor versus fighting like those dirtbag Cobra Kais. đ

I don't know about 1-4. The only game they really should have lost was the Ravens game. They had a blowout win vs the Jets. The games against the Fins and Saints were close, but most NFL games are. Even the bad teams can play a competitive game, The Saints game was close for 3 quarters but the Bills did pull away in the 4th quarter for a 12-point win. The Dolphins is a rivalry game, and they were fighting to save their season. I actually expected the Fins game to be close. The NFL isn't like many college games where the score is 63-0 in the 3rd quarter. With all that said they do have issues on defense. I don't know if it's lack of talent or scheme they run, but something isn't right. The offense is fine IMHO. Fixing the defense will be a hard thing to do in season. I expect the Bills 1st Rd pick in the 2026 draft to be either DT, LB, or CB/S is my guess.

For all you McDermott haters, who would you want? (Now a poll)

So Mike McDaniel then? đ -
Yep. This team could very easily be sitting at 1-4 right now. There are issues.

Gregg replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
What if Harbaugh (Ravens) becomes available? He has been with the Ravens a long time. He has been a good coach in this league, but this year is looking like a disaster for them, even though injuries are a big part of it. I wonder if he and the organization part ways if they don't make the playoffs. -
This is pretty much McDermott's legacy on both sides of the ball, and his prime criticism. Opponent O-line in shambles looks good against us. Banged up secondaries never properly tested. He never prioritizes exploiting opponent weaknesses.

This board will go full blown nuclear if the Bills are 4-2 late Monday night.

For once the teacher actually is hot. Lucky kid is right.

Give credit to the Blue Jays. They were the better team and deserved to win. Football and hockey for me now. Let's Go Bills and Let's Go Islanders.

It's not just the loss. They struggled at times to beat Miami and New Orleans, two of the worst teams in the NFL, needing roughing the punter calls in both games. We needed heroic efforts and a great deal of luck to get the win against the Ravens. 4 out of our first 5 games at home, and we drop one of those to a division reival. I think they are the best team in the AFC, but I wouldn't necessarily say "by a somewhat comfortable margin", at least not yet.

The Buffalo Bills have 2 bad habits Sheety first half game plans & playing down to lesser teams. We all knew this loss was coming and some people are frustrated with the trend. Hey, you asked?
-
No, it's not. But that is one way of missing most of the point. And whether you want to hear it anymore probably means to me about what it means to the Bills.
