Who in the hell is conditioning these players?
nucci replied to NavyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
go and read the number of injuries of other teams from this week. There are many. -
The final quote in the post says, “There are tells that everybody gives. It’s just about finding it.” He's saying that everybody has their own "tell", so blabbing about finding Worthy's isn't a big deal because it is still up to the other teams to find it themselves. I can't believe it's been suggested in this thread that he should be benched because of this. FFS, it's like a Mensa gathering in here.

A Few Thoughts about the Chiefs Game - Community Edition
Pete replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Norwood almost made it. Bills almost beat KC in 13 seconds game. Almost means nothing in the NFL and Life - Today
 -
Up: Cole Bishop - Defensive MVP. Was all over the field. Saved the game by knocking down the Hail Mary in the EZ. Bosa and Co. DL - They absolutely assaulted Patrick Mahomes and the KC running game. You know what I mean by assaulted, huh? WELL I MEAN ASSAULTED!! Dalton "Reuben" Kincaid - Kid just gets better and better. Our best WR not named Shakir. Down: Michael Hoecht - A season-ending Achilles injury spoiled an otherwise great night. The Bills will miss him. Keon Coleman - Clearly still learning the game, but you would expect more of a high 2nd round pick. Dean Prater - Doinking it off the pipe is no bueno. The Bills avoided OT by knocking down the Hail Marys at the end.

This is exactly why depth is so important in today's NFL. Teams with depth can mostly slog through the injuries, while teams lacking depth lose their season if they have a spate of injuries. Looking at the stats in the link provided by Colorado (which are from before the week 8 games, so guys like Hoecht would not be included) to see were Buffalo stands in relation to the rest of the league: -15 teams have the same or more overall injuries than the Bills currently (so we are probably slightly worse than the middle of the pack for the NFL right now) -20 teams have more players "Out for the Season" than Buffalo does -We do, however, have the most players with a late return date, post week 10. -But, if you combine "out for the season" and late return guys, there are 12 teams in worse shape (having lost more players for the year and late return guys combined) So, overall, we are probably a bit worse than average---like just outside the bottom third in the league---in injuries currently (somewhat surprising, thought we'd be even worse). Some of the hardest hit teams: Detroit has 19 injured players with 8 players out for the season and 4 guys with late returns (post week 10) Arizona has 16 injured players with 8 players out for the year, 2 late returns Miami has 15 injured players with 9 players out for the year, 1 late return New England and New Orleans also have lost 9 players each for the season; San Fran and K.C. have both lost 7 players for the year. For comparison: Buffalo has 10 injured players, with 2 players out for the year (now 3 including Hoecht), and 6 players with late return dates. [Caveat: I did not assess whether the players were starters, vets, rookies, etc. So, some teams who have lower overall injuries may be in worse shape than a team with more, if they have lost more of their starters (particularly their QB or stud players), rather than say rookies with minor injuries that are kind of being stashed by being placed on IR, or that kind of stuff---or just guys that are backups and who don't get that many snaps anyhow, etc.] -

Then he can't be the kicker by the post season. Simple. -
You are right about the grass at the new stadium. I don't care how special it is or the heating under it to melt snow it's eventually going to be a problem in our weather. And, I don't think the "roof" is going to be much help with 30 mph winds and snow/rain! The entire new stadium doesn't fit with Buffalo weather and Buffalo's fans!

In this week's acid influenced Bills social media post...
Buffalo ill replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
I feel like I'm too old to understand this, but also should get it due to watching a lot of montey python as a kid. -
Waddle has played 71 of 76 games in his career. The problem with replacing Hoecht is not necessarily his talent level... it's that he's been with the team since March and clearly understands the system well. It's gonna be challenging finding a player who can come close to his understanding of this defense. Good name and one not going around the rumor carousel. And Parsons is a better pass rusher.

Okay then... -
For me, it has to be the “Never Give Up” poster who literally told us the bills first round picks for several years…then disappeared when McDermott came to town.

Snap counts for the Bills in Chiefs game
Sierra Foothills replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Also, considering he's missed 6 of the last 26 games to injury, it's maybe a good idea to load manage him. Considering Ingram's only played 28 games in his career, I'd say he's a "kid" too. I'm glad the team showed confidence in him in a big game... you could see from Hard Knocks that he has a confidence problem. But the kid has some excellent tools too. -

Who in the hell is conditioning these players?
The Wiz replied to NavyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I honestly wonder what is is. Less training camp, turf fields, diet, more restrictions on PEDs? I really don't know but it seems like there are just as many in game injuries as practice injures over that time span. -
So we're all in agreement then?
 -
Rapp has been making the entire back end look bad... as some people have been saying all season long. My theory is that Bishop was embarrassed by his lame-oid tackle attempt on Bijan Robinson and did a lot of soul searching after that public failure. For some reason, many people on this forum want to forget that Prater missed a field goal. I'm surprised I haven't seen it mentioned yet but when was the last time anyone remembers a Bills player with 4 passes defensed in a single game? I would not call a 2024 2nd round draft pick, "found money." Not everyone here gave up on him. Awesome stuff. Thanks for adding to the topic.

Agree 👍 it’s frustrating throughout the entire NFL. At a time when training and conditioning keeps getting better it’s hard to understand. Speed size and strength of current athletes just may contribute to these types of injuries🤷🏻♂️ -

Insane stat re: Josh Allen rushing TD's.........
Utah John replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
On top of that, on most of those non-push TDs, Josh gets bumped around like a pinball but keeps going because he's so big and strong. The reason other QBs can't/don't do that is obvious. They lack the mass and momentum to get there if there's a defender in the way. Their only option is deking but a QB trying to deke a DB is asking to get blown up.
