  1. Past hour
  2. Tough to say anyone had a good game or bad game based on such limited playing time...but these are the guys who flashed for me. First off, Milano, Taron Johnson, and Ty Johnson all looked like they were in mid-season form already. Happy about that. It was a little slow going at the start for both QBs, but in the end, Trubisky and White both played pretty well. Even Buechele led what was almost a game-winning drive. But these are the guys who flashed (positively) for me: WR Tyrell Shavers RB Frank Gore, Jr. LB Joe Andreessen LB Jimmy Ciarlo TE Stephen Gosnell WR Kristian Wilkerson CB/S Cam Lewis TE Keleki Latu (only one catch, but he also had a great block, and a great special teams tackle) and shout out to Keonta Jenkins for leading the team in tackles (with 5 solo tackles) and Te'Cory Couch who had a couple of nice pass breakups.
  3. That was awesome, good for him. Amazing how much kickers have improved over the last couple of decades. Wasn't too long ago when everything over 40 yards was a toss-up.
  4. Jackson has a lot to learn for sure. He looked like a deer in headlights.
  5. When Landon's first move on the pass rush fails, he just stands there... after Walker and Sanders exited, the QB had all day and Jackson got stoned by the 2s and 3s
  6. No pelvic soreness there, great leg.
  7. That's so funny you were down on Michael Hoecht because Joe Marino raved about him and said he was excellent in run defense, had a great get off, and was the most effective pass rusher.
  8. It’s Elway. There is no other answer. Other answers in the same certainty category include Ingrid Bergman, chocolate and peanut butter, The Talking Heads, The Birth of Venus, Bach’s Cello Suite #1 in G Major, Prélude and Michael Jordan.
  9. Someone asks this question once or twice a year, and once or twice a year I feel compelled to bring up two largely forgotten proto-Allens. This first one peaked before my time, the second one right when I started loving the NFL. Neither one won a Super Bowl. Let's hope Josh breaks that mold.
  10. I thought Landon Jackson was outstanding. By that I mean, when his first pash rush move was defeated (on every rep) he was just out standing around. Either he doesn't know any counters which means the coaches have failed him and he's a long term project while they try to teach him, or he can't switch up his leverage points because he's so upright and stiff. Either way, this is 1/53rd of the roster they'll just have to carry and try to make him a T-1000 type robot in 26 or 27.
  11. Had it been in the regular season, the Jags kicker would have broken Justin Tucker’s NFL record by four yards.
  12. Buechele is not an NFL QB. I thought White looked good once he got more reps. I still like the prospect of White over Trubisky as QB2. He looked fine. It’s only preseason. He tackled a 260 pound TE on the first drive with perfect technique.
  13. Because he did it without acknowledging that what he said first was wrong. He just kept talking as though it was his original thought and it sounded ridiculous.
  14. And what's the issue with that? He thought they might kneel and they didn't. He then talked about the merits of not kneeling. Why is that bad? Those things aren't mutually exclusive. There are good things and bad things about either approach.
  15. I wonder what else McDermott and Cook talked beside about this game. No I'm not talking about contracts. Next preseaon game, Josh and first team probably will play. Is Cook playing too? McDermott may have told him if no practice or at least one preseason game, no regular season start. Cook in full uniform and took part in warm up may be the result of those conversations not shared to us.
  16. What did I tell you? It wasn't that this was a rabid anti-vaxxer. Or not just that this was a rabid anti-vaxxer. It is that he was a mentally disturbed rabid anti-vaxxer who blamed the COVID vaccine for his coincidental (although probably offset by years) depression and suicidal ideation. Nice work, RFK and friends!
  17. Jackson didn’t do squat. He looked completely out of place. If he wasn’t a 3rd rounder pick he’d be a possible cut.
  18. Tre should go on the wall of fame, but sadly I think his playing days are done. I hope he proves me wrong,
  19. He was totally stiff at Arkansas too. I've never been able to see what other folks are seeing with him. I have to wonder if they were so scheme free that they just cut everybody loose and told them to go play. I did see him read one screen and force Dart to go away from it but 2 downs later he was in no man's land again. One good thing I thought he showed was a lot of power on the move. A guy I thought you could have added to your Good Day list was Jordan Hancock. Despite being asked to learn multiple positions, I thought he looked like he belonged out there already. I may be biased though because I loved the draft pick.
  20. Remember the summer when Jeff Tuel didn't miss a throw for three weeks? Pepperidge Farms remembers.
  21. That's ballsy of him. So he's got a lead foot. I wish I could go above 87.
  22. Here's an example, right before the end of the half he starts talking about how the Bills will probably kneel it out because of their injuries and, without even pausing he pivots mid sentence to talking about how it's good to challenge yourself and try to score when he sees the Bills arent going to kneel. It was ridiculous.
