Shaq Lawson on the way (now reportedly signed to practice squad)
brianthomas replied to IBTG81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Another thing that gets me is the whole plan with Bosa was to use him on a rotational basis, to keep him healthy for the post season. But because of our poor Dline play, Bosa had to be used & relied upon more & more. Now Bosa is injured (predictably) & we're calling in guys like Lawson. Beane 100% deserves to be on the hot seat right now & while i hope our team perseveres & makes a deep run, right now that doesnt look too likely, and the fault should lie with Beane. I hope he has to account for this lost year post season. Josh is almost 30. We had many years of being the Top Dog in our Division & Beane was never able to figure it out. That says it all right there doesnt it? -

Not surprised based on his social media yesterday. Feel for him. I think he works hard and was poorly used by the staff

What does "Complimentary Football" mean in Bills Coachspeak?
GunnerBill replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
It essentially means: Offense don't turn it over. Defense get off the field on 3rd down. Special teams win the field position battle. So far this season we are not doing a great job at any of the 3. -

Okay who takes the OC job then? -
I'm not so sure. Beane did sign Diggs for a lot of money and drafted Keon highly. I think he values wideouts. But I think Beane has managed the cap poorly. I think we're overpaying for a bunch of players which meant that this past offseason when we needed WRs, Beane went shopping at Dollar Tree instead of Neiman Marcus.
-
Agree. Top guys are not being fired. Need some focused attitude and accountability between players. Again, Coleman may be exhibit A.
-
That's the thing about having a salary cap. You are limited in what you can spend on. The Bills try to hang on to their own. Sometimes those decisions don't work out. I can understand why the Bills went all in on defense in this past draft. We had a top offense and the D was losing us games. Now the shoe is on the other foot and our defensive picks are falling flat, though overall the D is giving the offense chances to win.

Who do we want, who do we need as our next OC/DC?

Yea, I very strongly disagree. -
What does "Complimentary Football" mean in Bills Coachspeak?
Big Turk replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
It means the offense doesn't put the defense in bad positions and scores points, controls the ball to minimize other team's opportunities and doesn't turn the ball over. The defense gets stops and turnovers and does so without giving up a bunch of yards so that punts end up pinning them inside the 10, which then gives the offense a bad drive start. Special teams limits opposing returns, pins them deep and makes plays when we have the ball as well as making kicks when we need them to. Essentially, all 3 areas of the game play well and more importantly play together in a way that maximizes the chance to win THAT game. That's the key point. On a game to game basis, what that means is situational. -

Interesting stat. Our defense just isn’t design for a lot of sacks. It’s been that way for years. -

Bills 2025 complimentary football: Bills win coin toss, and since they’re nice, they defer and kickoff. Our special teams tackle the guy around their 35, the opposing offense scores a TD after running a bunch of plays and chewing up 6+ minutes of game clock. Then the Bills offense goes 3 and out. OR the Bills defense stops the opposing team but not before they’re in Bills territory. The opposing team punts and the Bills offense starts inside their 15 and go 3 and out. Sorry .. just frustration spewing out. Actually a good example was the defense holding Tampa to a FG after Allen was intercepted at their own 5 yd line. Also, many good kickoff returns in that game gave the Bills offense good starting field position. -

A patriot that decided to throw up all over himself because of the Orange Terror. Disgraceful and embarrassing conduct. -
Something to think about: Brandin Cooks, Davante Adams, and a done-for-the-season Mike Evans are the three remaining WRs standing from the historic 2014 NFL wide receiver draft haul:

This seems like the right answer. It’s about balance and predictability. Don’t do something wildly outrageous that changes the game in any phase. It’s kind of “do your job.” -
Why is all the Thanksgiving fare soft? Is it because of all the older (I will include myself here) peeps gathered together? Think about it.

It means control the clock and don't score too fast because you will expose the defense. -
And this is a reminder that he wouldn't be used here. Not with Brady. He'd want out just as fast as Diggs did with Brady.

Gallego Reveals Eye-Opening Info About That 'Illegal Orders' Video By Nick Arama FTA: But that wasn't all Gallego revealed. Turns out he was supposed to be involved in the video, according to what Galllego told CNN's Kasie Hunt. He explained what happened "by the time the script got to me." Yeah, he admitted there was a script. Hunt laughed at him when he said he didn't have time to record it by the time he got it, that life happens, so he couldn't do it, but that he was 100 percent aligned with the video. That is not funny. I'm not sure why Hunt was laughing her head off there. It says a lot about her that she thinks that's funny. And it says a lot about him, and none of it is good, for endorsing the actions in the video. It also raises some other questions. What first video is he talking about? What was in that? Who was actually behind the "illegal orders" video? Who wrote up the script and sent it to people? How many people was this sent to, and who else were they trying to include in this? When we talk about Democrats being theater kids, it's something when they actually admit to having a "script." And Gallego seemingly doesn't even realize what he's saying when he says that. Not the brightest move. Thanks, Ruben, for letting us know. The FBI was reportedly contacting the Capitol Police to schedule interviews with the members of Congress who participated in the infamous video and to determine if there was any wrongdoing. They may want to ask some of those questions I noted above to get to the bottom of this. But please, Democrats, keep talking, tell us more. You just keep making yourselves look worse. https://redstate.com/nick-arama/2025/11/25/gallego-reveals-more-information-about-that-concerning-illegal-orders-video-n2196566 -

People mistake McD meaning of complementary … he means complimentary. Being nice to your neighbor in the locker room and congratulating each other for good or bad performances. So as a coach he has truly succeeded. Participating with joy ls what matters. -
What's the old expression? Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Six Democrats who made the video encouraging members of the military to refuse "illegal orders" stepped right into that old maxim. The video caused righteous furor and understandable concern about the effect it could have. The six Democrats were Reps. Chris Deluzio (PA-17), Chrissy Houlahan (PA-6), Maggie Goodlander (NH-2), and Jason Crow (CO-6), along with Sens. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) and Mark Kelly (D-AZ). Kelly alleged without evidence in the video that "this administration" was "pitting our uniformed military and intelligence community professionals against American citizens." The Department of War announced it would be reviewing allegations of misconduct against Kelly over the clip. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth slammed the video as a "politically-motivated influence operation" and noted they hadn't outlined any specific illegal orders. Kelly was asked about this on MS NOW on Monday, and again, he couldn't list anything. Now, there's more news for the six. {snip} The Democrats have taken their Trump Derangement Syndrome to new heights, and now it's backfiring on them. We've seen it from the Epstein files to this video. Not only could this potentially create confusion in the military, but what must our enemies think when senators and representatives take such actions? They think they're going to smear President Donald Trump, but what they're really doing is raising more questions about their own actions. https://redstate.com/nick-arama/2025/11/25/fbi-to-interview-the-six-democrats-who-made-illegal-orders-video-n2196542

I honestly think that we could have the '85 Bears defense and McDermott would still prefer that Allen not throw the ball much.
