He is, period. Plus, while we speak in averages, it wont be $15M every year. If anything, it will help our cap situation over the next couple of years. Even Barkley's big $20M/yr deal has him with only a $6M hit in 2025. Funny enough, Henry who everyone references at "$8M/yr" will hit closer to $13M this year and have the Ravens at the biggest spenders on RB in 2025. Here are the top spenders on RBs, all the teams I could grab in one screenshot. Buffalo is currently at 18th. If we want to continue to have a top Offense, we will have to come up from that and keep the top talent we have. With the rest of the guys on the roster, we could pay Cook and still stay in that top 3-6 range. Not having to take the top spot and biggest spend.

My only issue with paying him that much is that he's a part-time player. His blocking isn't good enough to play on third downs, so he loses a bit of that value when you have to use a combination of other players to make up for that gap. Johnson for blocking, and they used samuel from time to time for sub package stuff where he has flexibility to line up in the backfield or outside. He's a good receiver for the most part (he had some drop issues his first 2 years), and he cleaned up the fumbling from 2024, so he still appears to be an ascending player who hasn't hit his ceiling yet.

No different than bringing in White. Yeas past getting Lawson and Phillips on the cheap. They were solid rotational pieces on the dline. I think Davis would be that at wr. Not the primary target but will make his fair share of plays.

I think those are all really great points but the ranking seems more like cause its the shiny new object and the context of the signing after the beane radio dust up thats. Its VERY clear the Bills have palmer ranked higher (like nothing they have done supports them thinking Moore is a better player). They could be wrong but Im surprised how many people are just assuming Beane didnt prioritize WR correctly (Moore should have been a Wave 1 WR if he is truely WR3 and ahead of Palmer). All that said I am very excited for how he rounds out the room. I just expect less statistical output from him mostly cause of opportunity with other players being ahead of him based on investment.

TJ Watt Speculation after Pickens trade (Nothing Official)
BullBuchanan replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd be shocked if the asking price was any lower than 2 1sts. From an in-conference rival who likely will be drafting at the back end of the round, I'd imagine the comp would be quite a bit higher. -
This is the best part of everything Trump is saying and doing. Even the things that seem outlandish or ridiculous on the surface. At MINIMUM the optics, the perception of which party stands behind and up for the American worker is definitely NOT the Democrat party. He’s shifted realignment - the Democrats have screwed this up so badly due to TDS - to where the only thing the Democrats can do is fully embrace Socialism. Full on socialism is the only thing left for them. And they can’t even do that right:

Zubaz pattern on the stripes could be interesting... not my preference, but definitely interesting... would definitely need to be the all white uniforms for that.

RB to me always comes down to one-game contributions imo, and big play ability. Cook showed both of those last year. With the season on the line in a single game I think most of us would rather have Cook taking the majority of carries. Over a full season with the same blocking and carries i don't think you'd see a major difference in production between Cook and Davis/Johnson/whomever. Maybe a few of the bigger pops aren't as big, or they don't have the same ability to bounce to the edge, but if we're talking about .4 yards per carry (4.9 to 4.5 say) though that's like 80 yards on the year with his carry load. You can make that yardage up with a better punter. As for the "few million dollars" - if he's replaced with a draft pick or cheaper free agent it could be closer to like 12M - which this season was something like Joey Bosa. Again though, this creates that issue of who u would rather give the ball to in a big game.

This isn’t Shaun Alexander from sea who had a bazillion td short yardage. cook is explosive. Super explosive both in pass and as a runner SF td in the snow!? lions td where they pulled his hair id pay him bw 12-15. Knox makes too much $ for what he provides. And beane mismanaged building young depth at DL and WR the last two drafts (not this year). Instead of having to pay 10+ million on part time players on DL could save and sign our young home grown playmaker

Im looking from the Bills perspective. Unless Allen says no (miscommunication issues) I think it’s an easy answer. Gabe may have better options but rooting against it is bizarre to me. The lowlights for Palmer, Moore, Samuel, Coleman, Shakir are not great either. Not sure any of them have better highlights than Davis. The whole flip on him is very odd.
-
I don’t think Brandon Beane would envision a Gabe reunion as adding a WR5. Jmo.
-
Yes. 15 million is insane, he isn't worth it. He isn't worth 15 million per year, period.
-
Your going to discount the value of his touchdowns scored? Scoring from the red zone is critical, he should be lauded for that. How about the 4th down td in the championship game... no big deal? Cook also broke many big runs too, 60+ yards td, a few 40+ yarders. He had a tremendous season, worthy of a 2nd round pick and the Bills should do everytime everything in their power to sign him. If they don't, they should not waste a 2nd round pick on a player they don't want to extend, the pick is too valuable.
-
Isnt that a good thing? We arent risking Josh's health anymore because we finally have a decent run game and a good running back who CAN score. Josh needs more weapons! (But let Cook walk) Josh risks his health running so much! (But let Cook walk)

TJ Watt Speculation after Pickens trade (Nothing Official)

I would send AJ and a 2 for Watt. Although, Watt does tend to vanish late in the season, so that's something to consider. But so does AJ. -
Like (hating to do this, but whatever) if Madden scoring they would all be about the same overall score, but the skills scores would vary. This could make the entire unit hard to defend, but no one receiver is really scaring a DC. The entire unit may scare DCs depending on how the DC can deploy it's D against the individual WRs and their specific skills.

This is literally every voting group. Poor white people vote for politicians that speak to and/or push policy that helps them. Poor black people do the same thing. Wtf do you think they are voting for when they support Democrats at a 90% clip? I love how libs get upset when white people vote for their own interests. Everyone does this.
-
Many of those TDs came close to the goal line as well. Scores that Allen would typically have run in himself. Cook benefitted to some extent from Allen having a broken hand week 1 and the Bills running down close with Cook to prevent Josh from further injury to his hand IMO. I don't see Cook coming anywhere close to duplicating his TD total from last year
-
No, I used that word because it’s going to be a minute change that Trump will throw a parade over. Remember what he did to announce that China said they’d give us a call about a meeting about a deal?
-
Gabe Davis was our WR2 and now many of you want to bring him back as our WR5 (which I am fine with if they do). And yet somehow to many of those same people have been yelling non stop that we haven't improved the WR room the past 2 years even though our former WR2 would be a WR5 here now? Um...ok. lol

Josh was at the top in turnovers until we got the line figured out. Probably shouldnt have paid him either since its all the OL. Just pay the OL, everyone else is replaceable apparently. The OL didnt develop Cooks ability to run through tackles and even run OVER tacklers like he did last year. HE developed that ability. The OL didnt develop Cooks vision and patience to find holes where there arent any. The OL didnt develop Cooks speed and ability to take it to the house.
