  1. Past hour
  2. Thank you both. A name that didn't ring a bell, but a good long career in Buffalo, judging from the Wikipedia page. General question.
  3. Holy Crap!!! Interesting perspective. Is there some positive in rolling a gutter ball that I simply can't see? Keeps the gutter clean and you get 3 turns so why not waste one right? How about the benefits of large tracks of land that are brown fields due to chemical dumps by industries of yesteryear? Can you grow enormously large tomatoes there? I will now go get busy in the gardens before the heat becomes oppressive so that I don't upset posters who only know the first 3 letters of the alphabet or got fired from HR Block. LOL!!!
  4. Yes, players have been converted in the past. I’m wondering who the “cement handed” WR is you want to convert, or is it a general question?
  5. Agreed. This is Cleveland after all
  6. I've never seen a team in my life go through more defensive lineman without finding a consistent pass rusher. Hopefully Bosa can fill that role and stay healthy all year, which is a big ask.
  7. The Belichick era has caused us to see coaches as some kind of mythical guru. I think McDermott is a better coach than Sirianni, McCarthy, Switzer, Gruden and Arians. He's good enough to get it done and we are better off with him than without him.
  8. That would suck to hit a kick like that and have it actually not count. I would have waited until the regular season so, that it would have counted in the record books
  9. Even if so there’s still a lot of time for them to eff it up.
  10. yes they should try him at a different position…but which one? 🧐
  11. No way was there 69K fans on the stands. Many open seats in my section with people spread out and being comfortable. Lot 7 was nowhere near full.
  12. Our very own George Wilson
  13. How is it obvious? We played a vanilla defense with no schemes. Not a great measuring stick for an entire season.
  14. I don’t understand why Beane is making this thing last longer than it should. We need Cook out there working hard with the offense and building towards the Ravens. Beane did almost nothing to improve the offense. I love Palmer, but he’s not a game changer. With Shakir injured, Beane is prepping us to limp into the regular season. His acquisitions on defense were basically, PED D-lineman, Tre White and an injury prone Bosa. This guy talks a good game but his priorities are misplaced if he doesn’t sign Cook soon. Contrary to what delusional detractors of Cook say about playing hard ball with our 2nd most talented player, we will be asking Josh to play hero ball if Cook remains unsigned and we know how that works out. Either he gets injured or we just struggle with middle of the pack receivers and backup RBs.
  15. They always agree with Joe Marino and kind of default to him, though. So there is that.
  16. Yea, you probably remember I was a pretty huge fan of his last draft, so I have been keeping tabs. Just the off season so far, but does look a bit like he and Nix are getting a connection down like they had at Oregon.
  17. I thought the starter plus Solomon were more than adequate. They were after the QB a lot. Our coverage on the other hand left a lot of open guys and easy quick throws so the ball was out. After the starters and the 2nd string it got considerably worse. Jackson had a pretty rough go and without looking at film I'm guessing Carter was invisible.
  18. Both scenarios are extraordinary flops. No team will ever get to 4 straight SB’s without winning at least one. Ahem, except Buffalo. And no QB in the history of the NFL has won 7 playoff games without at least one SB appearance. Except Buffalo of course. When people talk about cursed, this is the high level stuff
  19. Of all the opinions following a preseason loss ..this is one of em.
  20. Wouldn’t get too concerned over how the defense played as a whole, or how individuals played. McD’s defenses are good and he gets the most out of his players…not concerned. This was a preseason game with a vanilla defense and no game planning. The Giants/Daboll have many reason they needed to play well and am sure they schemed more than us.
  21. Warning this turned into a rant. I did feel better after writing this. It might happen again in the future based off our secondary play. Might I add, it kills the pass rush. If you get someone to 3rd and 9 and you know they have to pass your Dline can pin it's ears back and go after the QB. Then you play everyone so soft that the QB has an easy out to the RB who is essentially uncovered or with one guy there at best and he runs easily runs for the first down. I think the RB's had well over 10 catches against us and well over 100 yards receiving not to mention a walk in TD. Also how are we so bad at jump balls. We seemingly give up a hail mary a season. Arizona and the Jets for example. A few years ago vs the Vikings and last year vs the Chiefs (playoffs). For as long as I've somewhat lamented the pass rush the coverage has let us down at key times and more recently all the time. It is probably top of my list as far as things that need to be fixed. Tighten up the coverage. No more easy short throws. Figure out a way to not lose more jump balls than you win. Give the pass rush some coverage so they can get to the QB. When McD came here defense got us to the playoffs and defense was the staple. Am I missing something? Where the hell did that go?
  22. Bosa is our only hope to pressure with 4 against any team with a good OL. CB blitzes have been the only blitzes that have been successful under McD. Bringing LBs or safeties has rarely worked.
  23. I don't know if this whole post is a joke or for real. And I'm unsure what one I prefer.
  24. Overall he's great. Just sometimes a little bit too analytical driven for me
  25. They're juicing, I tells ya! 😳 Make them all wizz in the bottle! 😁
