I've been in the upper deck of the Eagles stadium, that is pretty steep, like if you lose your footing going down, you could tumble quite a bit.

Looking back -- Davante Adams vs Amari Cooper

Before Allen was paid they were up against the cap. I’m in agreement they should spend and Pegula is awesome for opening his wallet. I’m just saying Beane complained about the cap situation and then spent like a madman. The Star contract comes to mind. That being said… I think Beane is a great GM and I’ve always been a fan of his. -

Must be no confidence in him to get a win against Tampa.

Taylor Dayne and Cheap Trick at the New York State Fair today. Taylor Dayne can still sing and fit into outfits that most 63-year-olds would not wear. Did about 10 songs and seems to stick with the setlist found online. But interesting was that several times she would leave the stage for a good 3-4 minutes, then come back on, not for any wardrobe changes. And even the last song, she left before it was over, letting her band finish. Not sure if it's something health related, or her normal routine. Cheap Trick went with their not so well-known stuff unless you're a big fan for the first half of their set. Which prompted the three guys by me to keep making comments like "oh, here's another one no one knows." Then why are you guys here watching, because you weren't listening with all the rude comments you're making, plus, from the looks of you, you're just as old as the band themselves. They did get to their popular stuff towards the end. Large crowd, I would not be surprised if it is announced at 15,000 or more.

I mean, the things you're talking about contributed to a couple seasons, in a dynasty. If your logic is to look at something like the tuck rule and say, SEE! It's luck the Patriots had a dynasty. That just doesn't seem to be rational. Even further off the boat is playing the hypothetical game with what Vinatieri and Norwood. Norwood missed because he usually missed that kick on grass from that distance. As we watched later, Vinatieri ended up being the most clutch kicker in NFL history. What happened in those situations is the better player executed. That simple.

Well said. Probably the best description of McD I've ever heard.

Those teams absolutely have plenty of luck lol Sorry the Chiefs literally got the worst spot in NFL history on 4th down with Josh Allen's QB sneak And that's not the only time they've benefited from bad spots or questionable calls There are 15 minutes highlight videos of them benefiting from what could be considered luck or questionable calls Tom Brady had the Tuck rule , Tom Brady had Adam vinatieri kicking three or four big time winning kicks in the super bowl or AFC championship game... Tom Brady is Adam vinatieri having The yips to not winning his first couple super bowls... Vinatieri misses in the snow in the championship game versus the raiders, he misses one of his two super bowl winning kicks Tom Brady might not be a seven-time super bowl champion Norwood misses it vinatieri makes it... A tiny Gap that changes history Tom Brady getting the tuck rule was luck that altered history the Buffalo Bills are 100% good enough to beat the Chiefs and good enough to win a super bowl... Just because it didn't happen doesn't mean we're not good enough Only one team wins it every year and we absolutely have enough talent to win it... Hence health and luck is massive in the playoffs because the margin of error is nil.. when it's that small it takes things like luck and health 13 players on the injury report versus 4 for the Chiefs... You're not going into Arrowhead and winning that hurt.. especially when you're not getting spots that a high school ref should make... The margin of error is already so small ... You're not beating bad spots while being very banged up Let's see the chiefs with 13 injuries on their report and get them in the playoffs.. they lost two players in their secondary and gabe Davis looked like Jerry Rice We're missing two or three starters every single time we're playing them and other depth players... And the margin of error is too small to go on the road and make that up.. and we're still only losing barely... If we get the Chiefs without their starting corner, starting middle linebacker, and a safety we will trounce them

I expect an @$$ Whooping by the Ravens. This team is doing a lot of yapping about the SB, that’s really presumptuous considering they are relying on rookies to fix the holes in the D. This is regular season Lamar and a fresh Henry against a DL that has next to no gel time and nothing sure at DT again, plus arguably the worst S group in the NFL, it’s going to be REAL HARD to keep it close, unless playoff Lamar shows up.

We tried that with Elam and whiffed. Still paying for that one. Hopefully Hairston rises to elite status

And if we offered 56 or 62, not only would that cost us T.J. Sanders or at least Landon Jackson, who's to say the bidding war ends there? Like I said, the Jets included #42 conditionally. So if we beat their offer with one of those, it's very likely they than just offer #42 unconditionally. Then the only way to beat it is to give #30. Which is absolutely INSANE to offer for a half year rental on a 31 year old WR. On top of that, it's been said he wanted to go to the Jets and play with Rodgers again. You say that he doesn't have much say in the matter. He absolutely did. Trading for hom would have required us to rework his contract. And he had the ability to say no to that to whichever team wanted to trade him. So it very well may have been reunite with Rodgers or nothing: I don't know why you "keep coming back to" this idea. Cooper was an option. Adams wasn't once the Jets became involved and it was known that's where he wanted to go. -

The dome of the Basilica will standout even more soon, they’re replacing the original with copper. They also did a revamping of the basement and now have a small, but thorough, historical museum honoring Father Baker. Between the Basilica and very nearby and updated Botanical Gardens, it’s a nice afternoon jaunt for locals to take in.

The NFL is in a weird spot. They just don't really practice anymore. I get it, these guys are bigger, faster, stronger. They're getting hit by a mid sized sedan like 8 times per week for 17 weeks (if they're lucky) Unsure if I am getting older or if this is a new phenomenon, but the less there is team practice the more there seems to be more soft tissue injuries. And on top of that, with nobody practicing, and nobody playing preseason, it seems common place to just sort of accept that a bunch of teams are clunky for 2-4 weeks to start the year. If I am the NFL I would put almost any bargaining chip on the table to get these guys back in the facilities full time starting in May. No pads until August, all film, weights, drills, routes vs air, sleds, etc. Honestly, drop TNF, add a bye, increase the NFLPA revenue share, but get these guys back in house 30 hours per week (or whatever) earlier so they're working at NFL speeds against a host of NFL players more often.

From 2015-2017, Taylor had 65 TD's and 14 INT's. He was limited sure, but lets not act like a guy like Taylor was some huge liability. He gave McD what he wanted which was clean football and yes, McD is the the the best +/- guy in football. He would raise the floor of most teams to .500 football and getting guys like Taylor to the playoffs, possibly even more often than he doesn't. But at that point he would get bounced. As much as McD raises a teams floor he lowers the ceiling. Luck is very overrated, 10 of the last 14 years the Patriots or Chiefs have won the AFC Championship. These team just execute better. They're more talented and better prepared. Which are all qualities "luck" tends to favor. Its rarely this random thing blowing in the wind.

And we are coming back with the fact the price was too high and the cap hit was too big…. Due to those aspects, the part you are coming back to is basically irrelevant. Making this a non issue imo. apologies if that comes across harsh- wasn’t sure how to phrase it. You’re one of my favorite posters, no offense meant. Most contending teams paying their QB big bucks usually are -
