What is your favorite totally random Bills game?
NastyNateSoldiers replied to T.E.'s topic in The Stadium Wall
I was in attendance for this one great game. I believe the Dolphins started the game hot with a 2 score lead before we came back and blew them out. 1994 Bills vs Fins 42-31 Bills Sunday night football in Miami. One play that stands out in particular in that game was Andre Reed scoring a 83yd TD in the 4th quarter where he turns around at around the 30 yd line and taunts the Dolphins players as he's running backwards into the endzone. I was in attendance for this one and that TD happened on my side of the field. 1989 Bills vs Oilers 47-41 OT thriller - Kelly vs Moon One of the greatest games I ever watched also was the game CB Derrick Burroughs injured his neck and never played again in the NFL. 1997 Bills vs Dolphins 2002 Bills vs Vikings 45-39 Bills win in OT . Bledsoe vs Culpepper. Crazy back and forth game Eric Moulds and Peerless went off that day. -
Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!

What I think you discount is the importance of being clutch on offense. Allen and the offense have choked in the clutch with victory in sight in 3 of 4 chances against Houston and KC. I really couldn't care less about counting points allowed against the Chiefs anymore. The games were eminently winnable. Bills fans are just myopic on the topic. The Kansas City defense averages allowing just over 30 points per game in the SB with Mahomes. But has won 3 of 5 because they've produced in the clutch offensively. Tyreek came up huge the first one. Kelce has been surreal in the clutch over and over. His playoff numbers are unreal. Worthy tore the Bills up in the AFCCG. Meanwhile........Allen has had the vanishing choke artist Diggs and a bunch of forgettable nobodies. The one game where Allen looked clutch at the end was when a receiver put up a 200 yard game. -

As a Catholic, I was not offended. As an American, I was offended. You are The President of the United States. A 79 year old self-declared leader of the world (no longer "the free world" apparently). Grow up. -

And when there was a job called "editor," which meant someone was proofreading the story before it was printed/posted. I really like The Athletic, which is better than most, but some of the sloppy hot take stuff they put out there is pretty embarrassing. -
Thanks, that brought back a lot of memories. I don’t think I was at that game, but what an enormous experience game day was for this young kid. It’s interesting, but the scenes from outside the stadium seem to strike a chord even more than the stuff inside the stadium. Walking up to those gates felt like the Roman Colosseum to me. On a trip back a few years ago a buddy took me by the still standing gates. Like so many things from your youth, it’s not quite what you remember, but it’s still special.

Hockey is just basketball played on ice horizontally w/a goaltender. Takes more resources. Box lax same concept too... 😉😆

Trump ❤️ Tariffs
The Frankish Reich replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Fair point. But dig deeper. Tariffs, yes. Subsidies? They work both ways. Tesla played the EV incentive game beautifully in the U.S., and even today makes a princely sum by monetizing those incentives and selling them to other companies. So when Trump or Peter Navarro says "reciprocal tariffs" include all kinds of other non-tariff barriers to entry, well, that's really hard to compute and that's not just a one-way street. -
No. That's a straw man argument that Obama himself declared himself as some holy entity. He didn't. Nobody held a gun to Trump's head and said retweet this silly social media post. I could see how deeply religious Catholics could view that as offensive.
-
You’ve entirely glossed over my point. Trump has ZERO need to rape an ugly woman in broad daylight when he has had beautiful women thrown in his face his whole adult life. You would know this if you met the man, but you braindead leftists KNOW NOT A FVVCKIN THING ABOUT Trump and that’s why you fools hate him to the very fiber of your beings.

Ohh Heck yeah. You put to word exactly what I've felt about a lot of this thread and many others. Like Dang we're all fans. Why take out frustrations on other fans? its cool to disagree but some people need to chill. Not trying to butt in on you and oldman. Proceed. -

Doc Brown replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills haven't even officially claimed they've agreed to terms. I don't even think the contract has been signed yet. Maybe it has to do with the unrestricted free agent tender the Browns placed on him. Who knows but my guess is $3.5m guaranteed with not likely to be earned incentives up to $5m. -
actually the 400.000 was for the length of the contract, his contract was the main reason the NFL merged the AFL and in fact the AFL owners were all in together in agreement to give Namath the money to let the NFL believe they were gonna sign all the up and coming college players.

I will say that the way DaQuan's contract is set up, if whoever they see at 1T is way ahead of him or he is just washed, he is one of the few players who a June 1st cut makes sense for -

I hate having to defend a poster but he didn't say that was the reason they lost those games. There's a reason we were all thrilled when Beane traded for Cooper after those two losses. At the time our WR's were 25th or worse in targets, receptions, receiving yards and receiving first downs. I'm already looking at what WR from another team we can acquire maybe mid season again. -

I heard Joe Marino speak on him as well. But it is interesting that Marino said this year that he has turned his attention almost exclusively to the pro game, the NFL, and so watched very little college football this year. And so when he did his draft analysis shows he seemed to just be reading others' words about college players, one after another after... Very boring, cliche stuff, repeatedly. I just stopped listening, as I was doing that myself. So don't take too much credence in what he says. He is very definitive in his one man show, with no one there to push back at all on him. And because it is every single day, I think, so much is just filler anyway. -

We all liked Mack, but when the top thing you can say about a receiver is how good of a blocker he is, that’s not a great thing. -
Thanks! 👍👍👍
