Do The Bills Have A Passing Game Problem?

An elite QB with a cannon arm playing game manager ugh. I mean its working so I can't complain too much but at some point it won't and they better be able to play large ball. -

The bills want their offense to control the game, they will always try to run first then go back to Allen's arm after Ie see Baltimore game fourth quarter -

I think that was the only f bomb I dropped all night. It got him 3 points vs Baltimore, but it's not something he needs to be making a habit of. That wasn't the spot for it, imo. -
I think if Prater kicks well the next couple of games you keep bass on IR as long as you can. If it means season long IF I’m okay with it. Big 47 yarder at the end of game. Wrong decision by McDermott cuz if he misses it, mia gets the ball on the 37. I punt there and hope to pin them on the 10. ended up fine, but I still think it was the wrong decision

I think after 8 years of dominating with dolphins it's not always easy to wake up for them even if they're a divisional rivalry We all say Josh is their daddy.. pretty sure Josh doesn't wake up as easy for them as he does some other teams He always rises up and when we need him he's going to be Superman this year I have no doubt -

if we didn’t get the roughing the kicker and they marched down the field what would you have thought? -
Kicking it to the 9 just allows the guy to catch it on the run and usually get a good return, with the decent chance of breaking one. Seems like smart teams should just boot it through the end zone and put it on the 35. Am I wrong?

I did enjoy the extended Mr Brightside . It gives me goosebumps to hear the crowd chant -
Honestly, unless our kicker goes 50/50 from 50+ yards, people here are gonna overreact no matter what. MVP Mark Moseley could be kicking and folks would still cry about it. Bass has a higher career FG% than four-time Super Bowl champ and three-time All-Pro Adam Vinatieri, for *****’s sake. What the ***** else do we want? He missed a couple XPs and FGs - it ***** happens.

I think so. That’s why so many of us wanted to add speed at WR that could threaten with deep shots. -

Josh had a number of plays that he didn't flush right. It happens, I guess. Luckily the team got through it. I'm sure he will see it in the tape and adjust. -

This game to me had the feel that the bills didn't really respect the dolphins, like at all The time outs on first and second down with well under a minute in the half to play where the dolphins were very much already in fg position demonstrate this in my opinion -
After bringing in coaches Nielsen, and Rebrovich, I was hoping to see a much improved pass rush. That's what these guys are about, no? Perhaps it's too soon to expect an impact.

This is very true. The Dolphins could have been the drought era Bills tonight with the massive line and the assumption that they would roll over dead. Instead they fought the whole way but made the crucial mistake at the end to lose the game. Fans build up their hopes a little, only to have it crushing back down. In the end they are more frustrated. 2006 Bills vs. New England 2007 Bills vs. Dallas So many examples

Allen was very accurate tonight. How many passes did he miss that weren't throwaways? 1 by my count. Within the game plan Allen was masterful and again the Dolphins robbed the O of at least 2 extra possessions because the D allowed them to go on 3 LONG, time consuming drives. The 3 Miami TD's chewed up over18 minutes. McD simply won't accept giving up big plays but IMO if the Finns had scored those 3 TD's on big plays and used up only 9 minutes the Bills likely get 2 more possessions and add at least 1 TD to the final score. -

your probably not wrong..but i just think its too easy sometimes, especially with better teams to get caught behind the 8ball when your approach is lackadaisical until its no longer an option. and yeah your right about keeping it away from Kc but again it got so bad that our only answer was the tush push for 8 plays that didnt work. -

I'm of the opinion that Josh (and Brady) don't want to push plays like that early in this season. Deep throws are low percentage and the Bills are winning now with high percentage plays. -

I had predicted the Bills would win by 15 in a text just before the game. 35-20 When I soon realized Tre White, the former starting caliber cornerback, was today the starting corner, covering Waddle, maybe Hill a little, I sent him a text saying 'reverse that score', though I took it back right after. But said, have said on here since the signing, that Tre White can no longer play corner in the NFL, and is definitely no longer a starting corner. It is very complicated to explain why this is the case: Tre White is very slow now, (runs like my fat as* uncle I sent the text too, and i told him this). While most of the receivers he will play against are very fast. If I can see this, why can't the Bills' coaches? Have to take your chances with Stong or Ingram or bring in someone else now. Tre White cannot be our starting corner, and should only be used on certain running downs. Yup, some good plays, two great ones, a pass break up and run stop, but he cannot consistently be successful as an NFL corner. To me this means he cannot play corner anymore. Why? He will get burned again and again, and again, and again, and those few good plays a game, or more, will mean nothing. Time to coach. -
It is true and McDermott has said so. It’s Tyler Bass’s job.

A human ***t stain It really is amazing that a party so full of “great ideas” does nothing but insult and belittle the political opposition. You'd think these political shows disguised as comedy would attract countless fans like Kirk does. They only attract hate filled lunatics because that’s all they espouse - hate and lunacy. -

And I highly doubt we’ll address this at the trade deadline. We have depth and Beane has that whole Jeremy White dust up. Also we traded for one last year and it was meh. So we have to hope Keon can learn to do the one thing he can do man up, which is win with physicality. Failed to do that again today on his one outside target. I do know a Spags Defense will key on the fact we only successfully throw inside the numbers down the field to slots, tight ends and running backs or around the LOS. -

This defense is going to get better as the season wears on. Anyone expecting a giant step forward from last year in just the first few weeks probably had some unrealistic expectations. First, it was a short week. Also, Milano and Oliver were out (as were Jackson, Ingram, and Hancock). We'll eventually get Hairston and the suspended guys back. The rookies (and Bishop) are getting valuable playing time and should get better as the season goes on (Walker played well today after one poster last week had already written him off after just two games). A lot of new guys on the D-line (7 new players), the more they play together, work the rotations, the better they will get/more in sync they will be. And there are probably some new wrinkles from the new coaches that they will integrate better and rep more often, etc. Gotta give it all a little bit of time to gel. And it's not like Miami had some crazy offensive numbers/night. They had 9 possessions: 3 TDs (one that should have been a punt or a 4th and 5 try instead, Hill was out of bounds on that 3rd---why was there no replay assist on that, like there was on the Miami first down late in the game?), 4 punts, 1 TO, end-of-game. So, we stopped them on 6 of 9 (should have been 7 of 9) possessions. Tua threw for 146 yards 2 TDs 1 INT Achane led the backfield with 62 yards 0 TDs Hill led the receivers with 49 yards and 1 TD Waddle added 39 yards and 1 TD Total offense: 276 yards Points: 21 Vs. NE in week 2 Tua threw for 315 yards 2 TDs and 1 INT Achane ran for 30 yards 0 TDs Hill had 109 rec yards Achane had 92 rec yards and 1 TD Waddle had 68 yards and 1 TD Total offense: 376 yards Points: 27 Somehow our defensive stats vs. Miami look closer to the Colts blowout from week 1 (except in points because the Colts had 3 turnovers as opposed to just 1 by the Bills tonight): Tua threw for 133 1 TD and 2 INT Achane had 55 yards 0 TDs Hill had 40 yards Waddle had 30 yards Total offense: 224 yards Points: 8
