the art of the deal........used car salesman edition
Just Jack replied to Sweats's topic in Off the Wall
That's what I need. I hate car shopping. When I bought my used Ford Ranger back in 2000 (it was a 1998) I asked the salesperson how much, he gave me a price, and I said ok. Found out later I probably could have got about $3K off what he said. -

O.4 catches per game. Half of his whopping 143 yards this year came on ONE play. But, when you only have 5 catches on the season, one long play can elevate your YPR drastically.

I've never seen so many mid week injuries. What this means I don't know, but it is definitely standing out this year compared to the last 35 years -

Your comment makes me think back to elementary school when most of us aren't as adept at muting our farts... the farts we'd refer to as "silent but deadly." Because of this not-yet-attained skill, many elementary school kids have the experience of cutting one in class to a murmur of chuckles. The pro play of course was to turn around and look at the person seated behind you.

Less than 12 months ago, this same Patriots team was a serious contender to land the number one pick in the draft. Less than 3 months ago, most of these experts looked at this Patriots roster and believed they would be hard-pressed for a Wild Card spot... while the Buffalo Bills were the heavy favorite to clinch the AFC East by Thanksgiving, and possibly go onto a Super Bowl win. Now these exact same media clowns want to stare into the camera, pound the table and confidently blabber this kind of nonsense. Nothing in their brains makes them stop and consider that other factors may be at play in the records. Nor will they take any self-reflection if their idiotic prediction falls flat. Nope, they will just trot out next week and pretend they were on the bandwagon for [insert current hot team] all along. Really Chris Simms... that's all it takes for you to crown Drake Maye > Josh Allen? Did you forget about the Bills running game, which is arguably the best in the entire NFL? Better in every single way, huh?

Whatever energy the Bills have, the Pats will match it. This game is so much more important to them than it is to the Bills. They have been hyping this game for weeks and Patriot fair weather fever is alive and well in New England.
