I feel a bit calmer the morning after, but it's clear this isn't our year. The greatness of Allen is masking an otherwise average (at best) team, coach, and GM. You can point to a few very good Bills players other than Allen, but every team has a few of those. It's a tribute to their quarterback that they have a real shot at the playoffs given the mediocrity that surrounds him. Would this exact team be Super Bowl quality if it had two excellent coordinators and head coach? It would help (a lot), but I don't think it would be enough, not with this roster. They would also need two or three more difference makers in addition to Allen and Cook. The recipe: A new coach (you simply have to pull the plug at this point; his time has passed), two much better coordinators, TWO (not one) elite receivers, an elite linebacker, and an elite pass rusher. Transition to the younger, faster players already on the roster. Trade the players who can't stay healthy, are too expensive, or who are about to hit the wall (Bernard, Kincaid, Dawkins, Knox, Dequan) in order to move up in the draft and free up cap space for free agents. And of course cut the deadwood: Milano, Poyer, White, Taron, Rapp, Samuel). It would require a bold GM to pull all this off, but it can be done. We're four players and a head coach away from the Super Bowl.

100% has outstayed his welcome, and his expiration date is long overdue. Everyone can see what is happening here. Getting us into the playoffs doesn't give one a lifetime achievement award. Beane needs to go with him. Total overhaul.

I have been using the LeBron example in other threads on regime change. That’s kind of where we are. No one thinks that Pelinka or Redick has more power than LeBron. Maybe with LeBron nearing the end his voice lessens but you get the point. There are a handful, or slightly more, of players in sports that have ultimate say. Lamar is in a pretty similar situation to Josh. He can execute Harbaugh. Aaron Judge and Ohtani have similar power. Jokic and Giannis come to mind along with maybe McDavid. I’m sure there are others but it’s interesting.

Tyrell Shavers reminds me of John Stallworth....

Is watching the Bills fun for you these days?

It’s been 37 years. So yes. It is. -
The offense cannot adjust at all. It's been that way all year. Either it's McDermott or Brady or both there is a sickening level of either stubbornness or ignorance

Division is out at this point…have to do it as a wildcard

I’d love to play NE in the first round. If we get Balt, KC or Denver, we’re toast -

Yep. He’s like the 20 year old kid on a team of 50 year olds at the local YMCA pickup basketball games. -
- Shakir's fumble was a killer - The 4th down run call was a killer - The interception into triple coverage, with Cook open under the coverage was a killer - Not adjusting the play development time to help offset the pressure was a killer - Getting zero pressure from your DEs was a killer There are many more "killers." An extra point miss is far down on the list.

I was at the game and let me tell you what was happening downfield

True but 91 missed a month for getting his leg stepped on in practice. Not exactly Ironman like the rest of the defense -
Few things stand out for me: After having a breakout game last week Shavers had the least amount of WR snaps this week. Shakir had the most despite not practicing all week. Why elevate Latu to give him 8 snaps? What's the point? While not having 3 TEs on the field, the Bills didn't use Anderson as a 6th OL except on one snap. Think that may have helped with the pass rush? Why is Knox out snapping Hawes by such a large margin? Hawes is a much better blocker and I have more faith in him as a pass catcher. With Allen getting rocked by the four man front, why didn't we go bigger more? Why not more misdirection (which worked well to open the game).

what an odd way to tell us all you have no idea how football works. -
I genuinely don't understand losing to these 3 QBs and beating Lamar. Mahomes, Mayfield This is the only thing that gives me any hope. But all of those losses were on the road and thats where we'll spend the entirety of the playoffs.

Can anyone other than Cole bishop lay the lumber and get a f&&&ing tackle? I can’t believe I’m saying this but he may be our best player on defense right now -
