  1. Past hour
  2. I am remaining confident, but I absolutely have no idea what to expect come tomorrow night. What I do know is if Buffalo can pull off a win, it puts them a game over 2 of the main #1 seed contenders. This is the most important week 1 we’ve had in the Josh Allen era.
  3. Completely with you. I’m kind of astonished that there isn’t more criticism of what Green Bay did. Maybe some of that is just how much people hate Jones and want this to backfire? I think he may have bumbled into a win.
  4. We're used to thinking of the Chiefs as our nemesis for obvious reasons. But maybe this year our main threat to earning an AFC crown is the Chargers. Or the Ravens. Or some other team.
  5. It's always a good thing when KC loses, but 28 teams (including the Bills) have yet to play a down, so I just can't too worked up over this yet. And the Chargers may well turn out to be a really tough out as the season goes on.
  6. Westside Grant street then up upgraded to Kenmore 1977, been in Ohio since 1980
  7. Yeah, I went back and watched, hard to tell who did what. They should be like a yard apart shouldn’t they?
  8. it’s the proverbial qb under 6’2, OT with short arms, etc… it’s not impossible to do but there’s a reason that despite fast 170 lbs guys being a more common body type, there’s more fast 210 lbs guys at wr in the nfl that said, it’s not a deal breaker either and it’s silly to think he’s going to wilt every time he’s touched and can’t do things to minimize the biggest hits
  9. Considering how Williams looked against us in a joint practice and a preseason game, this smells a bit like the McDermott piece. If Caleb really is a brain dead, low work ethic schlub, we'll find out in about 4 games.
  10. When OT Jawaan Taylor committed his third penalty of the game, Kelce started jawing at him. Later, All-World Chris Jones broke contain and let Herbert get outside for a crucial first down. Jones and LB Drue Tranquill got into it after the play. Reminded me of the Bickering Bills - but worse. It's certainly not the kind of behavior you see on the current edition of the Bills. The first game of the season and we're already seeing disunity on the Chiefs. I think that's a good sign for us and, yeah, I think you would have enjoyed it. I did.
  11. Oh look, a hit piece by Tyler Dunne, how unprecedented…
  12. "one day you'll be fully demoralized like me" -Roundy 😂
  13. And the players didn't play particularly impressive either. Their defense missed it's thrown to them. They committed a lot of penalties that were stupid and could have defeated them. The chargers offense would inexplicably get flat for a series and looked as if they didn't have a chance to move the ball. That is what struck me.
  14. Kelce got pushed off track but Worthy has to keep his head up a la hockey...
  15. 3) travel conditions continue to improve and be optimized. When to move the team, how to manage being away, things they bring, etc… is all much more data driven than dollar driven 4) teams have learned ways to better deal with noise. 5) visiting team conditions are much improved since the 1970s. They might not be quite as nice as home facilities but they aren’t using the janitors chemical closet as the visiting locker room, with the heat turned off id be curious how the data skews as I bet the 70-80s was much harder travel than 2020. What’s Allen excluding say the chiefs, and his rookie season?
  16. Certainly possible. The quotes were pretty extensive and seemed also from folks with less skin in the game - but it certainly could be the case. That’s why I’m interested to see who sticks up for Caleb.
  17. I understand the KC hate but there's no way any football fan should be rooting for a Jim Harbaugh team ( or Pete Carroll). Cheaters.
  18. Food: Most like Chicken Nuggets with Buffalo Tom's Hot Sauce. Drink: Probably Tito's and Tonic. All depends on how much Gin is left over from tonight's band party at my house.
  19. Too funny and bizarre to ignore.
  20. Like it or not, RFK is the leader of the Dept. of Health & Human Services. Hopefully he will get Big Pharma influence OUT of the CDC, FDA & NIH. Hopefully the research will be done to determine what's really going on with vaccines and many other issues. Here's another one, the lax regulation on MEDICAL DEVICES. Sounds like you'd rather have 'business as usual' with Big Pharma. The Bleeding Edge In The Bleeding Edge, Academy Award-nominated investigative filmmakers Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering turn their sights on the $400 billion medical device industry,[4] examining lax regulations, corporate cover-ups, and profit-driven incentives that put patients at risk daily. Weaving emotionally powerful stories of people whose lives have been irrevocably harmed, it asks: What lifesaving technologies may actually be killing us? According to the director, "Very few people know about the medical device industry and the fact that it is even less regulated than pharmaceuticals". The film explores the process of regulating medical devices, primarily in the United States, and the impact of certain faulty devices on patients.[5]
  21. Explosive, verb, the ability to spontaneously without prevocation or indication produce a dynamic result. In football terms in my dictionary I say that is plays over 25 yards. I think the Ravens are capable of getting big chunks of the 12-20 yard type but don't see them frequently blasting away at the big runs deep or long ball passes. Sure, Lamar (who's not the best player in the league) can busy a 25+ yard run. It's likely and probably going to happen this year. I don't see that against our defense which is not fast nor necessarily athletic. But our defense is a bend not break type. I do worry that Hamlin/Bishop, rapp, and our CB's could be caught exposed. I also worry that they can be sucked in to rushing Jackson releasing from their man if we play too much zone cover 2.
  22. Exactly what Waldron and his friends would say. Just like Spain, and Doug Whaley, and everyone else Dunne associates with that is trying to save face and resurrect their careers. Weird that Waldron was the one fired mid-season then.
  23. Be careful with whole year subs That's the easy way to do it, but it's also quite expensive. If you get a streaming box (The Nvidia Shield 2019 pro is the gold standard) that should only set you cak $200 NIB. You can get far cheaper options like the firestick, or you can buy used. Then you just get your own IPTV software, I use OTTNavigator, and that handles all of your interface. The only other thing you need is an IPTV feed. You can try out free ones just to see how it works, but they don't work well for high demand content like sports because the servers are usually low bandwidth. You can search around for IPTV subs via discord, and they'll cost you anywhere from $10-$15 a month. You pay them, you get a feed and login credentials which you plug into your IPTV app and you're done. I never sign up for more than 6 months, because you never know if the provider will go under, and I only watch live tv during football/hockey season anyway. Basically, if you have a tiny bit of tech know-how you can save quite a bit of money and have more flexibility.
  24. Penn State was starting to lose a bunch of luster especially after Sandusky He has six 10 win seasons in 11... The 11 years prior to Franklin.. 3 10 win seasons So he's doubled what the program was doing the decade before
  25. would it be more upsetting to lose to the chiefs again, or have the chiefs fall and the chargers win? I don’t know. I’m just tired of losing and know whoever we play in late January would be very good and that’s been a problem. the teams coming out of the west all have something in common- coaches that got to the Super Bowl. Likewise, the ravens. it’s a tough road and the chiefs falling doesn’t mean it’s much easier honestly, week 1 divisional games can be wild. I wouldn’t bet on any of them.
