The Worthy Trade Keeps Looking Worse and Worse
Captain Hindsight replied to Bills Costa Rica's topic in The Stadium Wall
I get why people feel this way but it’s a silly way to run a business. We work with firms all the time that are our “competitors”. It can be mutually beneficial if done right. You make the best deal for your team, and forget the rest -
It's officially New York Vs Massachusetts week. New York has the MVP's. Going to be an awesome week!

And the Super Bowl halftime show is…

They’re seemingly quite relevant now in WNY … an area that, for better or worse, is usual a decade behind in most things currently relevant -
Game week thread - Pats at Bills SNF
HereComesTheReignAgain replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Patriots* have wins over teams with a combined 1-6 record. They lost to a bad Raiders team and a mediocre Steelers team. Why are so many people scared of this game? The Patriots* are nothing more that an average team (at best) that has won games against the bottom feeders of the league. Of course, anything can happen on Sunday, but this is not a game that the Bills (or fans) should fear. It is not a "tough game". This board is full of spoiled fans that can't just enjoy the fact that the Bills are one of the top teams in the league. If they win, it is not by a large enough margin. People would rather talk about the possible mistakes made in past drafts than enjoy the fact the Bills are the only undefeated team in the AFC. Toughen up cupcakes and enjoy the ride to the 1 seed! The Bills are going to crush the pats* and demoralize their fans. -
Bills were favored by 14.5 and didn't cover, winning by 12. Make of it what you will 🤷♂️
-
Oh, It was clearly obvious Van Denmark was worried about the drones. He is in no way a capable backup for Spencer! Maybe as a backup guard, in a pinch.
-
Should we blow this game the pats will be only 1 game behind us in the division with the tiebreaker and a much easier schedule and a rematch in Foxboro. Their rookie running back is a concern as are their punt and kickoff returners. Tough game coming up. We should win but the consequences of a loss are huge!

Couldn’t care less who it is. Halftime is for other things than watching entertainers. Booze, food and broads come to mind. Though just booze and food for me since I have a ball and chain.

The Worthy Trade Keeps Looking Worse and Worse

I’d rather have Coleman -
the Patriots can win the ground game against our defense. they run well. a divisional game against a new coach who has put up well against the bills historically is nto goign to be an easy victory for the Bills
-
If wouldn’t have even really looked like a trick play if Van Demark didn’t trip I don’t think haha we made that play look infinitely more difficult than it shoulda been 😂

There was somebody hustling off but he made it in plenty of time. I got the sense Coach called it out of frustration and to make a point to the stripes as much as anything.

What we know about the suspect in the deadly Michigan church shooting By Dennis Romero The person accused in a fatal shooting and fire Sunday at a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc Township, Michigan, is a 40-year-old area man with a military background. Thomas Jacob Sanford is from Burton, a city of nearly 30,000 people roughly 6 miles from Grand Blanc Township. Both are suburbs of Flint. Police said the attacker rammed the church with a vehicle, got out and opened fire with an assault rifle. James Deir, special agent in charge of the Detroit Field Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, said he also appears to have used an accelerant to start a fire. At least four people were killed in the attack, two of whom were shot, and eight were injured. Officers killed Sanford in a parking lot behind the church, police said. The FBI’s special agent in charge of the bureau's Detroit field office, Reuben Coleman, said Sunday night that the bureau is looking for a motive. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/what-we-know-thomas-jacob-sanford-suspect-michigan-church-shooting-rcna234309 For the coward Roundabout (who didn't provide a link or context) as usual. An image uploaded to Facebook in 2019 shows Thomas Jacob Sanford wearing a “TRUMP 2020” shirt. The image was uploaded to “Brantlee’s Journey,” a page that provides updates on Sanford’s son Brantlee and his battle with congenital hyperinsulinism, a rare condition where the insulin cells of the pancreas create too much insulin. As of Sunday night there had been no motive established in the investigation, nor had there been any suggestion from authorities that Sanford’s political views or his son’s condition played a role in his thinking. No "maga" connection since But that doesn't matter !! Even if he was full blown "Trumper" the point is that churches and faith in this country is under attack ADDED: Well what do you know, while I was typing Round posted a vague link reference. I would refer you to my "thoughts" above.

The Worthy Trade Keeps Looking Worse and Worse

I’m not going to step foot into this ongoing debate, but I will say that Worthy brings an element to an offense that we just do not value for some reason. I don’t care about individual stats but I do feel that a downfield threat helps open things up for the offense. Now seemingly our offense doesn’t have an issue with scoring points, but I still won’t negate the value of a field stretcher. -
these shows are not for us. they weren't for us. i imagine when they had the rolling stones and prince they realized they went the wrong direction trying to be safe. these shows are to attract international eyes on an american game. most people turn the crap off.

1) I don't think any fans are satisfied with their favorite team's tackling. You just don't notice it on other teams. When we watch other games, offensive guys from both teams make plays. When we watch the Bills, any play by the other team is the result of missed tackles, bad scheme, and horrible coaching. Sometimes the other guys make plays too. All that being said, the Bills need to stop letting teams score on their first scripted drive. The difference between the Jets games and the last two games is that we let the inferior team score early, keeping them in the game. 2) You're not wrong on the officiating. A team with 38 rushing attempts, some of them QB scrambles after he held the ball forever, had 1 offensive holding call. They did have an agenda. What we saw was a bunch of refs keeping a weaker team in the game. Another point: The modern NFL rules dictate that the other team, no matter how bad, is probably going to score some points. It reminds me of when I used to be more active on Sabres forums. A player like Crosby would score an amazing goal, and the forum would spend all their time trying to find whch defender missed their assignment. Sometimes the other guys make plays. And the salary cap dictates that even really bad NFL teams have some star players. In 2012, the Lions had Calvin Johnson, who had almost 2,000 receiving yards, and Matthew Stafford, who had almost 5,000 passing yards. They went 4-12. All teams have stars

I find it a little ironic that someone who's been on hiatus for 5 months suddenly reappears and demands to know where others have gone... Welcome back to the fray, @Buffalo Barbarian.

This need for immediate gratification is not the best long term plan, but some people can’t help themselves. Some things take time. They may or may not pan out, but I can guarantee you that Beane knew who else was available when they drafted each and every pick.

If Only They Could Tackle..It's Not Just the Coaching
TurfToeJam replied to Rich Stadium Original's topic in The Stadium Wall
A couple points I haven't read on forum about defense affecting the offense..... 1)The bills offense practices against our own defense. So if the bills defense is poor tackling it can affect our offensive play calls. For example...I did not like that 4th and 2 run with shakir. It looked like it had no chance. But maybe in practice it was working well against our own D? 2) Also, the Bills run a unique defense which is base nickel. Again, Bills offense is practicing against this. How much practice do they get if any against typical 4-3/3-4 defenses? So how much does the bills defense affect the offense and offensive play calling? -
Ty did have a great 2024. He has great straight line speed and he's best when the play utilizes that speed. But he's been a journeyman throughout his career... this is his 8th season in the NFL. I was certainly expecting a regression but I think also he bounces back and plays better. IMO this is not an offense where WRs are going to have big statistical games. The team truly embraces the "Everyone eats" mantra and I believe that in all 4 games this year at least 8 players have caught passes. To me it's only important that people play their roles and catch the passes thrown to them. Yes, Solomon is getting every opportunity to win the chance to continue his career with the Bills. He's starting to look more like a career special teamer, as is Dorian Williams. I hope I'm wrong but that's how it looks and it makes me disappointed of course. On the other hand I'm excited to see Buffalo Joe get more snaps with the starters. The safety didn't hesitate at all making the INT... he had a conviction where the ball was going to be thrown.

Where is Landon Jackson ???
strive_for_five_guy replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sometimes you get a Spencer Brown in the 3rd round, sometimes you get a guy that isn’t ready to play yet. And even Spencer took time to develop into one of the best tackles in the game.
