  2. Ethan, first thanks for the distraction with this thread. It seems like we have a diverse bunch of guys (unisex phrase). As far as hobbies, I work in the business side of medicine, so not a hobby, but a large part of my life. Faith is important to me, and so is my family. I’m a father of three, and now with my second marriage two stepsons. My daughter is adopted from China, and turns out 8 years after the end of my first marriage (22 years), I swore I’d never remarry, but did to the most wonderful girl and coincidentally was born and raised in China. Talking to her parents is interesting as they don’t speak English. They live in my wife’s home about 4-5 months a year. I’ve always worked out since I was 14, and just a part of me. I have a buddy we try and train together around 4-5 days a week. I too liked all the Star Trek shows and movies except that DSN. I still go to church most weeks, but don’t ask my wife to attend. I have a park I enjoy the solitude. It’s called Philippe Park in Safety Harbor and on the north end of Tampa Bay. I enjoy the silence of it, and have actually started to meditate, which was a challenge as I’m usually a mile a minute. It’s nice watching the fisherman, and the older couple taking walks with each other holding hands. Movies Football (mainly the NFL) Love cooking for my wife and her kids Lastly, a closet Dexter fan. I’ve been able to get my wife excited on the shows, and her ring ton is the beginning song for Dexter. Mine is the ominous music at the end of every show. Anyway, it’s nice to get to know each of you. I appreciate knowing some of the other interests. Enjoy the weekend guys.
  3. Never trust a sports writer who changes his name then dumps daily garbage on your lawn .
  4. The top four corners in football are Surtain, Sauce, Stingley and McDuffie (and it is Surtain #1 and the other three are close together). You can have an argument about who is #5 and the order thereafter. But anyone who doesn't think those four are the four best guys is simply wrong. And Benford is definitely in that 5-10 range as well. But low profile, 6th round pick, will take time for him to get all the recognition he is due.
  5. Still debating which is more detached from reality year after year — Cowboys fans or the Dolphins media hype train (which conveniently runs without actual fans).
  6. Vinyl Records- digging for rare killer 45s and hard to find stellar albums. I love listening to music on nice systems! Cooking- I was a Chef for 30 years, and I enjoy cooking different cuisines. I like canning and fermentations. Yoga and Tai Chi- I lifted heavy weights most of my life. As my joints and I age, Yoga and Tai Chi are more my speed
  7. Skydiving RPG'ing (but definitely not D&D) Leeds United (is Masochism a hobby?) Motorcycling
  8. We have already established you are poor at reading comprehension. Now lets talk about comparison. comparison noun [ C or U ] us /kəmˈper.ɪ.sən/ uk /kəmˈpær.ɪ.sən/ comparison noun [C or U] (EXAMINING DIFFERENCES) Add to word list Add to word list B2 the act of comparing two or more people or things: make a comparison They made a comparison of different countries' eating habits. by comparison with By comparison with the French, the British eat far less fish. in comparison with Maxwell and Thorne is tiny in comparison with most other firms in the industry. Nowhere have I compared OJ to Michael Jordan. You didn't pay attention in English class, did you?
  9. I am officially a bit disappointed with Landon Jackson. He flashed in the spring and Epenesa's spot seemed the must vulnerable. Am I asking too much of a 3rd round rookie? Maybe. In general, I expect the same line as last year and the only difference be the rotation but I really thought he would flash more

  11. Great player and quiet as a church mouse. Never hear a word from this guy. Just goes about his business. Pro's pro.
  12. Those guys are all top in the league however the fact Benford isn’t included is the odd part, defo a top 10 guy in this league. Certainly ahead of 7-10 on that list.
  13. you think it’s like Diggs? I see a guy who’s played for horrible teams, never had a problem and simply wants to be paid for his production when they’re more than capable to pay him. Daniels on a rookie deal for 4 more years if they’re don’t extend him seems like the right time to pay a top guy on your team for another 3 years?
  14. I think McLaurin is an excellent player. But he turns 30 before week 2. I don't know that I see a team willing to give up both the draft capital Washington would want and the contract that McLaurin would want to a speed receiver entering his 4th decade. If he was a year or two younger, sure.
  15. I don't really have any hobbies beyond watching sports. Im interested in sport and politics and not much else
  16. Mmmm. Retada.
  17. This. Love God, love football, love all things health and fitness including sports and if I’m not listening to music I’m playing it.
  18. I think its more likely KC misses the playoffs then McDermott beating them in the playoffs.
  19. I would concur with this advice. Never tried salsa. Did swing a little bit. But what I liked to do was C&W 2 step. Like you said there are always more women willing to dance than there are men there. Dance clubs will have lessons for free and it's not all that hard. And, you get to touch the women. And talk to them. I dated several women I met this way back in my day. A couple of weeks ago I was riding .my bike through my suburban downtown which has the street blocked off. They were having C&W dance lessons. On the way out they were doing line dancing. On the way back they were doing a 2 step kind of thing. More men than women for sure. Everyone was having a good time. I stopped and watched for a few minutes. Looked like a lot of fun. I was jealous. Go for it.
  20. OJ was the greatest RB of the 1970s. That says it all really. He was a freak athlete with speed. One of the very best players that the game has ever seen. Never met the guy.. but he seemed like a consummate pro when he was working as a TV sports reporter/analyst. Sounded intelligent and knowledgeable about the game. He was in some good films as well up until the criminal element showed its head. On the field he was an incredible player. Not much else to say.
  21. This would be like deja vu of Diggs, getting a prima donna WR who wants to be traded. Has anybody heard sny negative locker room stuff about McLaurin? You can’t 5 straight 100 yd seasons. I would give up next year’s first.
  22. O.J. came into the restaurant/nightclub I worked in, it was around ‘77. It was slow because it was between lunch and dinner. I go to walk out of the one dining area, turn, and there’s OJ, with not his wife, Juanita. He asked where the manager was by his name and I said upstairs, it was kind of a VIP private/office area. Up he goes. Then the bartender called me over. I was kind of new there and was bussing tables at the time, he says take these drinks upstairs and just drop them off on the stand just inside the room and don’t say anything, don’t stare and get back down. I go up, go to put the drinks down on a tray stand and the manager says bring them over here, put them on the table where they were sitting. I’m trying not to make eye contact with O.J., it’s obvious I’m nervous. I put the drinks down, start walking away, the manager calls me back and introduces me to O.J. I shake his hand, he says “relax kid” reaches in his pocket peels off a $20 and hands it to me. I thanked him, turned to look at my manager worried I should have refused, he winks and gives a nod towards the door. That’s my first memory of O.J. whenever his name comes up.
  23. That logic tracks. But maybe they didn't want to give up picks this year given all they had to do and roster spots they had to fill. Especially a high pick this year. I tend to agree with you. But maybe adding a player like McLaurin while still being able to get Sanders and Jackson and pay for him with picks next year (and/or player(s)) might be more intriguing.
