  1. Past hour
  2. Far greater chance it doesn’t matter. But sure, for week 1, it’s a big game.
  3. You speak as if we're already winning the "salary cap award of the year". As it is, we're having to budget shop. You want a DK Metcalf or Terry McLaurin? Best we can do is Joshua Palmer and Elijah Moore. You want us to swing for the fences on a DE that's on the market? Best we can do is Joey Bosa. Want to go get a stud CB? Best we can do is Tre White, Dane Jackson, and Draft Picks. Think DaQuan Jones is toast? All good, we'll get a 1T in Round 4. And through all of that and the economy moves to mid-tier moves, we're dead last in the league in Salary Cap - sitting at -750k. Next year, we sit at -2.93 million with at least 17 players who will make this roster needing to be re-signed or replaced. Including 4 of our to be rostered Offensive Lineman, 2 of which starters. We aren't remotely close to winning in the salary cap game right now. Haven't been in a good many years. We're in rough, rough shape. I don't believe the kind of contract that Micah Parsons will demand is feasible. And if it is, the amount of players in the coming years we'd have no choice to let walk would be staggering. Everyone likes to point to the Rams. It's no guarantee that going "all in" like the Rams did will guarantee the same result. And if you do that and not get to the promised land, we're putting Josh in even more hell for years to come and wasting more of his years.
  4. I definitely remember Roseland. That rickety roller coaster and bumper cars with sparks. Good times!
  5. Funny but not really... your eyesight isn't something you want to play games with. Figure out a way if you really need it done...
  6. We are now 5 days away from the Giants pre-season game. I am sitting here with a fridge full of grilling leftovers from Saturday and Sunday -- Whole Un-split Asian Style Chicken Wings, Fresh Herb & Wine Chicken Thighs, Meaty Pork Back Ribs Sauced in Homemade BBQ Sauce and Korean BBQ Sliced Pork Loin -- all were marinated 2-3 days in advance in different marinates and to complete the trilogy of excess today I BBQ on the Big Green Egg the marinated in Worcester Sauce, Freshly Ground Green Peppercorn and Steak Spice Beef Short Ribs and Skinless Chicken Drumsticks in a TexMex marinated since Friday. I will no doubt freeze some since the Wife and Daughter have successfully synchronized their periods such that they are both suffering in such an expressive dramatic fashion that I feel like Jesus visiting a Monthly Menstrual Leper Colony thus they ate very little all weekend. Nonetheless, I have food for the whole week leading up to the game. I took delivery on Friday of a new outdoor deep fryer that hooks up a 20 lb propane tank I never use stored in the barn and I think all I am going to for the game is test that bad boy out for the first time with some traditional Buffalo Style Chicken Wings with celery, carrots and Blue Cheese Dip.
  7. 😆🤣 I guess I am going blind...
  8. Kill switch, deadman cable staying grounded to coil OR grounded on a piece of metal somewhere... Bypass that ***** -er is the first thing. Just say safe and don't have a heart attack while mowing. LoL... That will give you hit and miss starts, frustrating the way they design some mowers, etc... I can't kill my mower after 20 years, a Honda... Which I think those basstards stopped making gas mowers in US. I'd squeeze together the kill lever high on engine with a cable tie, one easy way to stop it was to choke it from getting air by air cleaner... lol
  9. He's walking around in street clothes watching all his teammates play football. What would you expect his body language to look like???
  10. I had both eyes done last year... they inserted a lens in each eye so I have 20/20 vision but I do need readers sometimes for stuff up close. Had no out of pocket charges so that was great. I just use the cheapo readers from dollar tree, under $2 a pop.. but I figured out quickly that it's best to have like 5 pairs of them so there is always one there no matter what room/vehicle I'm in. I don't really use them that much though. I never did ask if I can open my eyes under water in a pool, but that scenario hasn't come up yet. It's worth it, even if you have to dig into that massive 401K account and pay the penalty.
  11. Not every player is as critical as Cook.
  12. The Dolphins are better with Tua than they are with whomever is their backup. That's true of every team in the league. So, Tua's better than... Skyler Thompson. So what? But, ten times better? No, I don't think that's accurate. I looked it up. Tua's career win percentage is 64%. The Dolphins win percentage over that time without Tua was 35%. That's less than 2x better with Tua. Even that might sound like a lot, but name a team in the NFL that doesn't suffer when their starting QB goes down? Personally, I think Tua is very good at certain things-- accuracy, fast release, timing throws; and abysmal at other things-- extending plays, operating under pressure, working out of the pocket, and yes, staying on the field. But none of this has much to do with the perceived culture problem in Miami. I haven't heard anybody talking up Tua's leadership abilities, and I haven't heard any description of Miami's poor practice habits, or lack of accountability, or lack of respect towards McDaniel only occurring when Tua was injured. And he sure as hell didn't look to be inspiring his team in that last playoff loss to KC. They played like they had their bus idling in the parking lot.
  13. DOJ: Enormous Voter Roll Cleanup Soon to Begin By ward Clark The midterm elections will be upon us before we know it, and the U.S. Department of Justice is putting in some effort to make sure those elections are on the up and up. To that end, the DOJ is launching a nationwide effort to clean up voter rolls - to make sure that only people legally eligible to vote are doing so. Seems like an intuitive kind of thing that everyone should be in favor of, doesn't it? https://redstate.com/wardclark/2025/08/03/doj-enormous-voter-roll-cleanup-soon-to-begin-n2192400
  14. The WR room quietly got better!!
  15. i have no idea! It was a Husquavarna that I really loved. But every year, something would go awry and I couldn’t get it to start. Finally, I was done putting $75 each year into a $200 mower.
  16. Ruggs on backup vocals?
  17. Today
  18. ...12k PER EYE! On high-end... lol... My luck I'll need the expensive treatment. 😔... "The average cost of cataract surgery in the United States typically ranges from $1,808 to $11,730 per eye, depending on various factors such as the type of procedure and the intraocular lens used. Insurance coverage can significantly reduce out-of-pocket expenses, so it's important to check with your provider for specific details."
  19. Ya know what perturbs me the most about this? The complete disregard for personal accountability. The people who come here with the sole purpose of using the 14th as a loophole piss me off; but the left wing nuts who protest the “separation of families” piss me off more. I do NOT agree - to be clear - with ignoring/removing the 14th. But, when a family comes here illegally either planning to start a family or worse, with the mother pregnant and with the sole purpose of the baby being born on American soil, how dare they (or mainly the far left virtue signalers) scream and yell when “families are separated.” Folks coming here KNOW that deportations are happening by the literal truck load. So when I see protests in my own city of “ICE is tearing families apart” it pisses me off because what is the alternative? Just let folks come here and because they have a kid here the entire family is free to now stay? THEY put themselves in this position. THEY put their child in this position. If there are no consequences, when does the flood stop? I’d love for some of my fellow dems who are so vehemently against deportations to answer this one. Does it bother me to see videos of families being separated? Of course. Because I’m human and have empathy. But this is solely their fault. The alternative isn’t viable.
  20. How many threads you want to start on this, old man? Release the info or don’t. I bet you the currency of your generation - a wooden nickel - Obama never gets indicted. But you know he won’t. So you’ll just keep spamming your weird Twitter feed here.
  21. Does insurance cover it? The way it's going now... We won't be able to afford it... Probably be cut out of benefits. Like a bunch of years ago, went in for colonoscopy and the anesthesiologist charged 2 grand... I pay $300 every 2 weeks for health, employer picks up $700... That's $18 grand a year... I ain't going back. I guess I will go blind and die of cancer... Healthcare is like a drug dealers, killing the customer one way or another...
  22. Their offence is 10x better with Tua in the lineup Vs when he's out. I think That's pretty black and white based on the big sample size. You don't agree with that?
