  1. Past hour
  2. This is a really interesting game, given how the league has played out this year. The unexpected has been happening a lot, teams have risen from the dead to knock off better teams, teams are up and down week to week, and games play out much differently than stats or recent performances would suggest. There’s no consistency this year, except for New England. They haven’t tripped up, whereas the Bills and every other team has had their bumps/potholes in the road. At the beginning of the year, it looked like the offense couldn’t be stopped, and now I cringe when Allen goes back to pass - is he going to get blasted, throw an awful pick, or have Cook wide open in the flat but throw it high to Coleman who misses it? Like @finn, I feel like this game will be a good barometer of whether the Bills are going to get their shlt together and go on a run, or be a consistently inconsistent first round playoff loser.
  3. Uh oh. People might have to wake up and look at reality now! Now bad did nursesclothing need this to be a trans person?
  4. lol. Another cop out. You just can’t possibly defend some of the nonsense you post. I f that your reading material I get it, but to pawn that off as some type of news is a complete joke.
  5. Burrow will probably score every time he gets the ball with the Bills having no pass rush. Allan and Cook will probably score every time they get the ball against Cincy's run defense and they will eat up clock. I think the game is decided by whoever has the ball last. toss up with a score of about 31 - 28
  6. This is why I'm at peace with this game, instead of feeling anxious or confident or resigned. If they lose, it will confirm that this just wasn't their year; even with they squeak into the playoffs, I'll know it's just a matter of time before they're beat, since a Super Bowl team does not lose to Cincinnati at home with this much at stake. Resignation, in short. If they win? Well, I go back to the twin peaks of anxiety and confidence. But for now, I'm just plain curious. Ah, the life of a fan!
  7. Hoax. I actually agree with Charlie Kirk on this one. Feel some grass and read scripture. Give it a try.
  8. Sure there is - Philly could be your SB opponent.
  9. Josh Allen / RB's 42 McDermott -14 Brady -7 Complimentary bla bla bla -6 Not enough to eat -10 Bengals 24 --------------- Bills 5 Bengals 24 sorry, I just had some coffee and my meds kicked in. Bills 34 Bengals 28
  10. I need some of those blue and red beads to put over the black ski moonsuit I'm wearing to the game tomorrow. Been in the south for too long. I have a couple knit hats. Pretty sad. Lots of Bills barware though.
  11. Annual toilet bowl game!
  12. Well, if Kurt Warner was managing a grocery store and got there, I guess anything is possible. What a swing and a miss by the Cardinals.
  13. if you pare that down to two mostly healthy WRs and passable answers at the qb position it’s a pretty consistently solid list
  14. I expect there is no "there" in regard to Cole's leanings to the Right. I'd put money on it. Because every time some nut case surfaces the usual suspects instinctively attempt to peddle the same story from the same playbook that the guy is pro-Trump. Seeing how things work if there was evidence he was pro-Trump he would have been arrested on 1/7 and that J6 committee would have certainly gone "there".
  15. I get where people are coming from when they say he is "doing what McDermott asks" most of the time, which makes him much less of a threat as a pass rusher. But with the current state of the D line, they'd better be asking him to do something else this game.
  16. This is a fair take, but our draft picks and FA signings never seemto make up for the lack of talent around Josh. I don't even care if we're a run first team, but when it's stopped or we get turn over prone, we'll struggle to offset it with the passing game or defensive play. Many are simply frustrated that that we have to have this identity while having a generational talent at QB. I don't disagree. The lack of balance on offense will only take us so far. If the passing game starts to click a bit and the defense gets healthier, maybe they'll go further than I think. I just think poor decisions are catching up with us and forcing us to take on an identity that's counterintuitive to paying a top 3 QB.
  17. Totally fair. I’ll say this: the nfl should address that a waiver player should have to show up before you cut someone else to absorb them. Maybe give teams 24 hours to place them on either the roster or non report list, and if they enter the facilities they have reported
  18. I don’t think they would make up an injury to make the switch. Yes he is a captain but he can be replaced. Plus we all watched the injury happen. Not sure why you would think they made it up.
  19. Stabbing racists is not pro human, but that is something that an actual Nazi would say about their political party.
  20. The problem I have with the offense is that it doesn’t build much off of its success or variations to keep opposing defenses honest. Let’s look at two plays as examples: 1. The Shakir WR screen - this play has been boom or bust for the Bills this year and recently most likely bust - why? The blocking is good when it is successful, but teams have definitely been watching enough film making blocking tough as they know exactly how to attack it. The Bills keep running it anyhow. What could they do with knowledge that teams are keyed in? To me it seems that a block and release or even a feigned whiff from the blocking receivers should have all kinds of success with having a wide open target for a big play and even if it doesn’t ultimately connect you at least get them second guessing attacking with reckless abandon. That’s where I get disappointed with Brady - he doesn’t build off success or counter defensive success against his plays. 2. The duo run to the right - this has been a very successful play for the Bills and has teams lining up in all kinds of exploitable formations, there are so many options for the taking that are in the middle of the field or left side, especially a right to left waggle or some route counter to the way simulating the duo play dictates the defensive flow left to right. This is also just ripe for the taking and puts DCs in a bind to consider either: 1) addressing the run and not getting beat by a steady diet of it, opening up an easy potential explosive play, or 2) playing less exotic and letting the Bills grind you to death. One of an OCs best friends is success, but you will get figured out if you don’t build off it and that success will not stick around. Brady does from time to time throw these wrinkles but the should have a menu of plays to go to off of the massive success of duo. They don’t or at least haven’t and I’m not sure what they are waiting for. I don’t care if they are a run first or pass first team but what I do care about is making it easier to find success where there is opportunity. They are basically making it too difficult for themselves when teams have answers for what they do well.

  22. Sven (or should I call you Walking Tall- i think that was show where Bo Swenson was the walking tall dude- I was a little kid so I think that was right), I agree with you're take. I would add a couple points. 1. Cooks needs to get more into the game plan as a deep outside threat as he’s done it for years and a pro on route running. Davis also needs to be thrown intermediate and one or two deep threats. Shakir is going to be Shakir, and I can see Hawes being a good 7 yard dump off as no one wants to make that business decision. Knox even can be targeted in over the middle routes. 2. The running back dump off option will help as both Cook and Ty have proven they are difficult to tackle in open space. For god’s sake cut out the behind the LOS scrimmage throws. 3. We already expect Cook to get a heavy run dose and on those plays we should play 12 personnel. Their D Line and O line suck and they are the 31st against the run, and 32nd against the pass. 4. It’s true on defense, our best pass rushers are out, so we might as well drop 7-8 and blanket them. It somewhat makes sense to activate Lawson, and push Sanders to the outside as they set the edge well as Rousseau so they are completely one dimensional. They shouldn’t be able to run at will. They just aren’t like the better rushing offenses we've faced. 5. Thompson has remain in the middle as if nothing else Bernard is banged up and it’s hurting us. I know he’s out this week anyway, but as long as Thompson is in the middle we have a better rushing defense. One of the analysts on WGR, I think Joe Marino juxtaposed between Bernard and Thompson and it was striking. I know a number of you aren’t crazy about Jeremy or Joe, but most in this board like Marino and his podcasts. 6. I certainly hope Hairston and Hancock continue to see their reps increase by the week, as White has been better when Hairston’s is sharing the duty as well as Hancock to Poyer. 7. So in the end, these are just a couple of additions to Sven’s excellent post. Most importantly, GO BILLS!
