Do The Bills Have A Passing Game Problem?
DapperCam replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm not really convinced they can adapt if the short game gets shut down. There is no switch to flip if we have no downfield passing game. Let's say we are playing against KC in the playoffs at home and they have shut down our running and short passing game (fairly realistic scenario). My prediction there will be that the Bills will not be able to suddenly stretch the field. It will probably look like Allen throwing into extremely tight windows < 10 yards, and taking 3 plays to get a first down the entire game. That style of play has an extremely small margin for error. I would like for them to work on the intermediate/deep passing game during the season. Maybe we'll see that later on. -
Have Josh run the "k" gun

It's always the same people who blame the lack of passes down the field because "The WR's can't separate". They're flat out wrong in terms of why that is happening, it's happening by design. There has been a very intentional philosophical and execution change since Brady has taken over the offense and that is to be a team that can play physical, win at the line of scrimmage and throw the ball into areas that are less prone for turnovers and it has worked!

The Patriots did this to us for 20 years
SF Bills Fan replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I said the same thing last night. We'd be winning like 13-7 at the half against the Pats and the final score would be 34-13. -
They called him...Hawes.

Who were your top 3 players that made a major impact in the victory and your 3 major disappointments.... (for me I am not going to include Allen... because.. well just because) Up Cook - dominant performance, allowed us to balance the attack and control the clock, inches away from breaking a couple Hawes - outside of the one play he got blown up by the Tackle was a pit bull blocking, caught the ball when he needed two, and enabled the 3 TE set we ran Bernard - yes yes interception, but the rest of his game was great too couple big tackles and was a general menace Down Groot - complete invisibility, limited production, to date not earning his contract... hope he shakes whatever off... Keon - c'mon man you gotta stop dropping footballs in critical situations... some nice catches... but too much left on the table for a guy who we need as a true 1 Whoever is responsible for our tacking - giving up the amount of 3rd and longs we did is really not sustainable if we are ever to go 20- 0 lol... just do better...

Bills/Panthers game in October
klumzyfule66 replied to klumzyfule66's topic in Bills Tickets and Gear
I did not - they seemed to indicate the tickets would be sold basically the next day. Although I said before the season I think the Panthers are a playoff dark horse - I can't realistically rely on the Panthers to win a few games in order to not take a massive loss on the resale of the game vs the Rams. The home opener was only being sold for like $50 online. If I go to the Bills Panthers game, we will just get them third party. In other news, I will have a remove control Bills car cooler to sell if anyone would be interested in that. It is like the one that is linked, except has bills logo https://www.c3customcoolers.com/product-page/buffalo-rc-cooler-rover -
I think this is true. Also true is Josh consistently plays big in big games ( excepting Bengals after Hamlin/GF BS.

Based on ??? I don't care how they win as long as they win, but I am not convinced this conservative style alone can win in the playoffs. It has not happened yet. I think the answer is somewhere in the middle. He can't play with reckless abandon but the team needs to stretch the field at some point. Can't rely on opponents QBs throwing game losing picks in the red zone in the playoffs.

I play fantasy football and only look at stat lines. Whether the team wins, scoring 31 points is irrelevant. I need my players to be individual FF leaders. There must be a problem. Let’s fix what ain’t broke so I can talk trash to my sister.

That may not be fair. The Athletic writer mentioned that he's playing with a bone bruise on his knee. I've had one myself for months, and I haven't been able to do anything but walk for short distances. No hiking, no tennis, no running, no nothing. If his injury is similar, he's playing through some serious pain.

Get rookies healthy and this could an epic draft class

I think I mentioned this last night. but I am worried about Tre White. He seems to be at the point where he is playing his own personal prevent defense: “just don’t let them get behind me”. Which gives his receiver 5-10 yards of pitch and catch each time.

Jimmy Kimmel Canceled

"jawboning" https://www.kuow.org/stories/legal-experts-say-pulling-jimmy-kimmel-from-air-may-amount-to-illegal-jawboning The decision is not happening in a vacuum. Nexstar announced recently that it is in the process of trying to acquire its rival, Tegna, in a deal estimated to be worth $6.2 billion that is subject to the review of Carr's FCC. Nexstar also needs Carr's support to loosen regulations to complete the deal. Under current rules, no one company can own stations that reach more than 39% of U.S. households. The Nexstar-Tegna tie-up is estimated to extend the company's combined reach into 80% of American homes. Carr celebrated the series of events kicked off by Nexstar, thanking the company on X for "doing the right thing." Carr wrote: "I hope that other broadcasters follow Nexstar's lead." -
