He was dominant on Sunday. As I said above every time we got the Ravens off the field there was a play in those 3 downs that Ed Oliver made. I know people here hate PFF but they gave him a 92.1 grade for the game. That was the 7th best grade they gave to anyone in the league at any position week 1. -

How much better is the Ravens team on paper than the Bills?

Last night wasn't a Matt Milano type game even when he was at his peak, in fairness. I think absolutely he isn't close to Smith at this point. Simpson is a different type of linebacker and after some struggles earlier last season he does seem on the upswing. Where Matt is on the downslope is something to view in games other than Sunday night IMO. -

the play I haven’t seen anyone comment on is the 1st and 10 on the ravens last drive. Everyone that has access to rewatching should check it out. Off the snap- he explodes off the line and jacks his man 2 yards into the backfield within a second- Henry had to reroute himself a bit and that was all it took to bottle him up. I friggin love this guy. Literally everything about him. Now we just need to get this kind of production out of him in every playoff game. -
Throwback game Cardinals @ Bills ‘86. Kelly’s 1st win

Ed was a difference maker on Sunday. That's the player we thought we would get when we got him. -

Do we really need to take victory laps or make definitive judgments about this young player after one week? Can we just say he had a great 4th quarter that helped the team win and it looks like he and Josh are building some trust and a connection? The “instant gratification” mentality of some fans is tiring.

I agree. It looks like a poor angle by Rapp (I assume this is the TD; didn't watch your clip but watched the clip of that play a few times.) Part of it, however, is "get off a block" up front. And part of it too is either design or execution up front with respect to gap assignment. By the time Rapp gets a bead on Henry, nobody has touched Henry, Henry has a ton of speed, and Rapp is in a pretty tough spot. Yes, the angle looks awful. But, in fairness, somebody has to get a body part on Henry before he's into Rapp's level.

My biggest criticism of those who criticize McD is that they fail to recognize his continued and consistent growth as a head coach. They harken back to mistakes he made 4, 5, even 6 years ago as if he is the same coach now he was then. It’s not dissimilar to looking at 2018-19 Josh Allen and the player he is now. Even last year there were talking heads still clinging to their assessments of rookie Josh and we blew our lids over it. Why doesn’t McD get the same respect from our fan base? Saying this team is “all Josh” is a disservice to many men — Beane, McD, and the rest of the roster. McD has been a very large part of Josh’s growth and development — does anyone want to argue he wasn’t? It’s time to stop the narrative that McD is somehow keeping us from a championship. He out-coached Harbaugh Sunday night by a mile, and Harbaugh is universally acknowledged as a top-5 HC in the league.

The answer at safety is TIME. Bishop needs reps to get comfortable. I’m not predicting Bishop/Rapp will become some dynamic duo but they can be mid-tier and that is sufficient on this team.

That is probably more true than we realize.

I’m getting a little tired of this narrative. The Bills’ OL is better. The Ravens’ C is excellent but the other four spots go to Buffalo. The TEs are a wash. Flowers starts, and after that it’s a wash or Buffalo is better. The two starting RBs are Henry and Cook. Defensively it’s slightly more slanted towards Baltimore — the safeties, one CB, one LB, and two DL. But these rosters are not as lopsided as many of you seem to believe. -
Beane would've dealt him 1st day of FA, that culture in Mia is cooked considering this is a leader in that locker room and they looked like they wanted to go home after getting down 7 lol

Milano as well. I believe he is ramping up to get to his former self. -
Hes beyond the benefit of the doubt now.

It was definitely his fault. The level of contact was not egregious. Again, he has to NOT allow that to happen, and yes I have rewatched the play more than just a few times (NFL+).

Verbal back and forth is one thing. But trying to hit players is another thing. Granted there’s a line between that and celebrating after a TD. Hopefully the league just tells players.. don’t go near fans in the sideline, celebrating in the endzone is ok. ALSO… people need to stop throwing stuff on the field. Ok one time a ***** was funny. But that’s over. Just don’t do it. It’s not a good look.

I would sign Pepper and move Poyer up to roster. Unless your blind anyone can see the Bills have the worse set of safeties in the whole NFL Beane has done horrible job replacing Poyer and Hyde with garbage, even Rapp has no business starting

All comes down to QB position, you swap McDERMOTT with McDaniels and we most likely get past Chiefs in the playoffs. McDaniels got stuck with TUA who is not even a top 10 QB in this league

I feel like fans on this board talk about Matt Milano as if he didn't essentially lose two straight seasons to injuries and is still an All Pro. The Matt Milano of 2022? Sure. But the Matt Milano that returned last season and the guy we saw last night looks like half the player (or less) than he was. The Ravens also utilize a 3-4. So Milano absolutely isn't a fit there. Unless they want to utilize him as a Middle Linebacker. And he's definitively not a better MLB than Roquan Smith and probably not better than Trenton Simpson, at this point. -

Right on. We can compare each position, but at the end, Allen is the X factor. There's no math with the way he plays. Sometimes, i even take it for grant. -
Jacksons excuse in the presser was he seen the fan slap Dhops helmet which is why he retaliated. Fans slap their own teams helmet all the time when they score and celebrate by the crowd. If you're the opposing team and you celebrate near the fans, its fair game to get your helmet slapped. Hope they slap Jackson with something hefty for that comment
