  1. Past hour
  2. I actually had to on a few occassions but they were mostly due to being in the area of car accidents. One time I called because I thought I was having a health episode but it turned out to be nothing. I just felt like it was better to call and find out it's nothing serious than not call when it really is.
  3. Ship his ass to the Saints
  4. I get what you're saying but the cap goes up every year - and everyone knows who spends to the cap or doesn't. So someone on that 53 is getting paid. It's only about the distribution in the end. FWIW I think next time round owners will be looking to cut down from whatever percentage players get right now (think it's 48% or 49%, not sure though)
  5. 🚨 BREAKING: Russia Gate architects such as John Brennan are likely to be charged with CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY, per Mike Davis "When you have an ongoing conspiracy, when you are covering up that conspiracy, the statute of limitations does not begin to start tolling. So this is ongoing criminal conspiracy." The specific charge could be conspiracy against rights under 18 U.S.C. Section 241 "I would say to these lawfare Democrats: lawyer up because justice is definitely coming," @mrddmia said This is in addition to perjury charges for lying in front of Congress.
  6. I don’t care eitherway. I want #4 paid fairly for him and the team. James needs to be careful. He could land at a bad team, bad OL. There is a middle ground. Josh made the choice to hit the middle and have more fun.
  7. Hell, has that team ever been ready in week 1?
  8. But would trump understand it? Probably not. He’d be talking about windmills and alternative facts and Biden appointees like Jay Powell.
  9. I like James but I'm literally giving him less every time he pulls something like this If I was prepared to offer him 13 million a year it just went down to 12 Every time he says business I'm probably going down another 1 million dollars because it's also business to the Buffalo Bills 195 lb running back playing behind a great offensive line next to the best quarterback in the world... He's talented, he's not anything close to a true Bell cow back he' drops some easy balls every year and he's not a great blocker... Like again if he wants to take 30 years 3 million.. awesome He's not Alvin kamara and he gets 12.5
  10. I can sum up your paragraph in one word. Cope.
  11. Agree mostly Though I reckon Bengals fans would argue they would have been in the playoffs if Chase had actually been ready to go last season from Week 1..
  12. The thought did occur to me….
  13. In the case of one player, sure. But as a general principle, no. If players don't drive up the market price for their positions as the cap increases that benefits the owners. I get as a Bills fan it is easy to look at the micro as to how it affects this team and nothing else but you have to look at the macro across the league. The NFLPA and the players themselves have to push the envelope.
  14. Everything you said is wrong. Cook is so much better than Davis and Johnson. To even compare them is laughable. Guys don't get bothered by holdouts. They all want to get paid too. They know it is a business. They see that Cook is underpaid. They support each other. It does nothing to the culture. In any other business if you have a contract that lasts five years, the business can't just tear it up if you get hurt. How did cutting an injured Tre White affect the culture? Real men honor their contracts huh???? So why didn't the Bills honor the contracts of Tre White? Just answer that one question for me...
  15. Cook just isn't worth most of the number bantered around. 13mil+ and you've lost me; play your last year and go chase a bag next season as a UFA. Want to work with some bonus structures and void years to get a 3 for 35mil with a 15mil signing bonus; go ahead. As long as we have Josh Allen we have a shot, and if we don't, Cook isn't anywhere near the level to compensate for that.
  16. It's all for HBO.
  17. Can anybody name one season in NFL history that was derailed because of a hold out? By a RB no less? This is just SOP at this point. Players hold out. Players deals get done, they get traded, or they play for the payday the next year. The holding out part is just part of the business at this point.
  18. TALK TO EM !! This guy would be traded immediately if they could get any compensation , he doesn't fit this culture
  19. The Bills offensive line was one of the best in the league last year. Brady would have known to get it out before any pressure was there if he read the play.
  20. Allen should have taken $45M. Because everybody should take 2/3 value due to the salary cap.
  21. I’m sure you’re a nice fellow but try and understand contracts have meant nothing in professional sports for years. It’s about leverage and a team’s evaluation of whether it’s in their best interests to sign a player to another contract and for how much. It’s a negotiation that starts the year before the rookie contract expires.Remember, a player averages 4 years in the NFL and if he gets injured they will dump him in a finger snap. Stop with the “real men” BS. These guys are just entertainers with a short window to earn and the negotiation starts the year before their rookie contract expires. Did you complain when Benford got extended or Bernard before their contract expired? You can’t compare a contract in business to the NFL. Don’t diminish great players who make our team SB contenders. Remember the mediocrity of bad personnel decisions over 2 decades when you couldn’t watch games after the middle of November.
  22. It is what it is. I'm not going to act like I know what Beane has offered or anything like that. I'm sure it is a significant pay raise over the $5M he's about to make. But whatever it is, it's not enough for Cook to accept. If he doesn't play, it will have one of two effects. This could potentially be a distraction that derails our season. Or, it could be the distraction that lights a fire under the other guys and catapults them to the next level. Either way, our team is better with Cook on the field. We know Josh is gonna ball out regardless. You saw what happened last year when they shipped Diggs out. We've seen the type of player Ty is. Davis had some flashes. I think we would miss the explosive plays, but we would still manage to keep balance on O. Next man up.
  23. Cam Lewis is a guy that is not a star but he plays multiple positions at an average level. Coaches love players that can play multiple positions. He isn't going anywhere. As a back up he is very good. I agree and thought this the whole time too. Yes, he has some turnovers. Its those same turnovers that are also the superstar plays that people cheer for. Not all the picks are his fault either. The only ones that bother me are the routine plays that he should have seen coming. Of course everyone would like to see turnovers toned down. I still want him making those superstar, only QB that can do it, type of plays and if it costs a turnover once in a while so be it.
  24. If Cook makes $15 million, doesn't that leave less money under the cap for the rest of his teammates?
