Should we look to trade Keon after this season?
Nephilim17 replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall
No team will want to reclaim him as a boundary guy as there's plenty of evidence he's not suited for that role, but I think some might look back at his college production in the slot and think he could be worth a late-round pick to play there again. -
That play was tuff to officiate, from the refs view it probably 100% looked like he pulled the guy to the ground, and honestly he might have slightly, but I was yelling at the TV like a crazy person when they called it! 😂

Nice optimism - you know you're talking about a Texans team that almost lost to the Titans

A Few Thoughts about the Bucs Game - Community Edition
Big Turk replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I know this is crazy saying it after the Bills scored 44 points but I felt like they left a lot of easy plays out there and could have easily put up 60 on the Bucs. On the long throw to Hardman, Shakir is running wide open on a deep crosser 25 yards downfield with nobody anywhere near him and he might have taken it to the house... on another play where Samuel was wide open and turned the wrong way at first or it was an easy 40+ yard TD... they had players running wide open all day long it seemed like and Allen missed quite a few of them that he doesn't usually miss (the airmail to a wide open Shakir out of bounds along the sideline) that I believe happened before the 2nd INT on 4th down, etc... -
Does Mecole make it to next week?
Buffalo Junction replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
It likely doesn’t have an immediate impact on his roster status. Gotta remember that they’re watching the totality of his performance where he was also blocking his ass off which resulted in some of Davis’ return success. -
Does Mecole make it to next week?
DrDawkinstein replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
He better be in the starting lineup next week. One fumble on his first return to action is nothing, especially for an experienced vet. He'll get over it. McD should too. -
When was this? Only time I saw that we went three down was in our dime sets. Other than that we were in our typical 1's and 3's and played some G fronts. Nothing out of the norm. Scheme is not the issue. DL gets too tall and pushed around - doesn't command doubles. Second level defenders looked horrific recognizing pullers.

No. Its hard to sound authentic when clearly biased, but his fingers got up under the lip of the helmet, and caused a reaction exactly the same as a face mask. At first i thought it was a bad call, but i think it was actually a super high level call.... especially once that "rule specialist" guy came on... that dudes a shill for NFL, but he said their is a provision for it in rulebook, I doubt he waws making that up... either way good call and id say the same if it was on us Yeah that one was rough. Lineman call that a "*****", its advanced lineman play, but basically, you catch a player over extending/reaching and you redirect his momentum and drive him down. Dion has been a beast with it, but he got flagged on it twice last year.... which is rough as hell, considering thats basically highlight reel lineman stuff
-
I ask myself this every day. It's a question Pegula should ask McBeane.
-
Well, I heard he had a calf injury... but assuming that is ok... he is guilty of trying to do to much on that last return... I think he gets a mulligan.. he does it again and I think its curtains...
-
In the modern NFL any ref impact less than a touchdown in considered a spectacular win.
-
Not every year, but he's going to be named to a few.
-
They directly handed the bucs 3 points with a phantom call on a FG block

Is this a chess piece reference lol 😂

Snap counts from Bucs game.
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's not a new thing though really. He's been on the field for 73 total snaps this season, and has 24 carries for 44 yards. 20 of those 24 carries have been in games decided by 15 or more points. I don't think he's had a very good season on offense when called upon, but lets not act like he was "called upon" 24 times when in reality its just a bunch of garbage time carries for the most part. I'd agree when he has been on the field this season the play hasn't been particularly positive or notable. However, it's a position that requires some rhythm. -
Not necessarily a bad call, but we had to look at it closely, in slow motion, to detect a facemask. Could very easily have been ignored.

A Few Thoughts about the Bucs Game - Community Edition

Timing in sports is sometimes a b*tch. Kyle Williams would've been so good with this group and heck even Jerry Hughes (peak with his drive/personality would've added some needed juice they never have had on the d-line. I think they hoped Edmunds would've become a true blue blood LB whereas he is just really good. It figures Oliver has seemingly come into his own this year only to get hurt. -
Agreed. Three WC will be: Patriots/Bills, Chiefs and Chargers Can you imagine being a 2 seed and your reward is getting Reid/Mahomes? Yikes. Look out for that Dallas game. I'm not so convinced they win. Dallas has a bad D. But their offense is lethal. Chiefs will be favored. But keep an eye out.

I will say the line judge coming in from the top of the screen seemed to be marking the ball a half yard to a yard short often. He was doing it for both teams though.

Josh Allen doing Josh Allen things, and why we need it
Wraith replied to Ray Stonada's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was wild how much they were blaming the windy conditions for the offensive ineptitude in Philadelphia last night. Meanwhile, it was crazy windy in WNY yesterday and yet Josh is airing the ball over the place and the wind is barely discussed. Exactly this. By the end of the game, Tampa Bay is no longer willing to crowd up close to the LOS and the running game started to find lanes again. -
As many have said, I think the best thing we can do is get our young players on the field. In most cases, the older vets are the biggest liabilities (Milano, White, Poyer). It can only get worse from this point. Get some young legs in there. Then we can at least get them some experience, and have a better idea where things stand for next year.

We'll take it. It was dissected pretty well on the telecast and all thought it was a good call.
