  2. For once the teacher actually is hot. Lucky kid is right.
  3. Give credit to the Blue Jays. They were the better team and deserved to win. Football and hockey for me now. Let's Go Bills and Let's Go Islanders.
  4. It's not just the loss. They struggled at times to beat Miami and New Orleans, two of the worst teams in the NFL, needing roughing the punter calls in both games. We needed heroic efforts and a great deal of luck to get the win against the Ravens. 4 out of our first 5 games at home, and we drop one of those to a division reival. I think they are the best team in the AFC, but I wouldn't necessarily say "by a somewhat comfortable margin", at least not yet.

  6. The Buffalo Bills have 2 bad habits Sheety first half game plans & playing down to lesser teams. We all knew this loss was coming and some people are frustrated with the trend. Hey, you asked?
  7. No, it's not. But that is one way of missing most of the point. And whether you want to hear it anymore probably means to me about what it means to the Bills.
  8. Agreed … and for the “win is a win” contingent, it’s also true that “a loss is a loss”
  9. bwahahahahahaha........i actually smoked a little dope last night and watched this ole time great
  10. Beane has invested a lot in quick pressure after seeing from their two Super Bowl defeats that this is the way to beat Mahomes. Oliver, Hoecht, Ogunjobi, Walker, Sanders, Bosa... they're all penetrators, not edge setters or run stuffers. But he may have put spent too many resources there, at the expense of players who can tackle, cover, and stop the run. If you're good at only one thing and suck at everything else, other teams catch on fast. Not to put it all on Beane. Maybe he was expecting McDermott and his defensive staff would do a better job than they have. Anyway, plenty of blame to go around. The defense still has time to turn it around, as we keep telling each other.
  11. It's entirely possible. Hopefully, the Bills are motivated after the Sunday night Cold Front debacle and pull out a win. After what looked like a runaway division title for the Bills after 4 games, it's not beyond the realm of possibilities that the Pats (with a win over the Saints) could be on top of the division after 6 weeks. 😗
  12. When I think of this matter with Jerrah, my advice would be this… I remember this movie, and Harrison Ford gave excellent advice basically why diffuse a bomb that’s already gone off. I use this in life. If you make a mistake, just own it and move on. This is classic for a guy who always thinks he’s the smartest in the room.

  14. I didn't think we were there with the chip technology in the ball yet but looks like this is most likely the answer. AI Answer: Yes, NFL footballs are chipped; a small, coin-sized microchip has been inserted into them since 2017 as part of the NextGen Stats system. While this chip collects data on the ball's movement and other player metrics, it has a margin of error and is not currently used to make precise officiating calls like first downs, though the NFL continues to test and develop the technology for future use.
  15. Well, let's look at the NE game, since the Bills lost and maybe Brady messed up because he wasn't using his best receivers. Here is what I would say is the rank from best to worst, with their snap count (distorted because Cook and Ty also run the ball): Cook (72%), Kincaid (54%), Shakir (63%), Ty Johnson (12%), Palmer (52%), Coleman (62%), Knox (56%), Shavers (25%), Samuel (49%), Hawes (29%), Ray Davis (6%), and Gilliam (8%). Lost in the data is how Cook and Ty Johnson were used as receivers. They weren't, which I would say is problem one. The second problem is Coleman's high snaps. He's a weak blocker from what I can tell and is an exceptionally limited receiver. Why is he getting so many snaps, especially when Kincaid, arguably the only only star on the receiving roster, is getting a lot less? Lots of caveats: no context, small sample size, etc. But I would say that Brady needs to use Kincaid a LOT more and Coleman a lot less. I would see what Shavers can do; he can't do much worse than what Coleman has shown.
  16. Agree but Ward has had multiple games missed due to injury. Like you said he is a high value asset. His contract may make him difficult to trade. The GM is trying to save his job. Will be interesting to see if they make more moves.
  17. Agree. If he doesn’t make it this year it should be time. The only thing I’ve ever held against McD was the 13 seconds debacle. If that doesn’t turn it into a SB appearance then I’ll revert to people being right that he should have gone then with or without Frazier. Sad because he’s built a winning culture and a standard of expectations for a Lombardi. Sure Josh is a significant part of that but it’s like they say; it takes a village.
  18. They get beat in man as well. They’ve been running a decent amount of it.
  19. It is interesting, I’m a fan of Newsome. Thought he’d turn into a more consistent player than he has. 2 years ago he was solid and seems to be having a bounce back year like you said. Might be a wash in terms of player for player if Campbell can start getting his hands on the ball and disrupting play as he seems like a decent tackler from the Jags games I’ve watched over the last few years. Unlikely on shopping Ward for anything less than a first or second rounder. He’s their best player in their secondary and only a few years into that extension which made him the highest paid CB. It’s really Ward and Delpit, not much else.
  20. I don’t t hate McDermott as a person or a head coach. I just hate his defense.
  21. Yup. I was encouraged by the pressure they applied against the Pats. Should have correlated to more stops on the backend.
  22. A 52 yard FG isn’t really that long anymore. That kick would have been good from 70. You can say the situation would have been different if things happened differently earlier in the game all you want. You still have to make the correct decisions in the moment and evaluate the current situation and react accordingly. Crying about earlier mistakes isn’t going to force a 3 and out now.
  23. Understandable. I tell my wife “F you” sometimes when I actually mean “I love you boo”.
