  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah, but you lack significant context - KB - This was after Bills traded their WR1 away in Watkins in preseason to the Rams and left the team with no real WR's on the roster in a season the Bills were starting to shed contracts and evaluate what is left in early stages of a rebuild. Then McD had them playing well enough to break the 17 year drought, so Beane supported that recognizing the value in changing the culture be exceeding expectations and the pressure to make the playoffs before drafting a QB. Diggs - He was rumored to be available (or believed to be) based on tensions in Minny and Bills were ready to add a weapon to help Josh's development so they inquired but were rebuffed then. The team was ready to start adding to the roster and adding weapons to keep Josh's growth headed quickly up. Sanders - Bills were suddenly now young contenders and they were looking to add another veteran weapon opposite Diggs to load up for a SB push Cooper - Another season we were exceeding expectations. It was supposed to be a mini reset, mini retool where we shed a lot of previously important veterans due to age and cost. We also had $31M in dead cap and lost both WR1 and WR2 in the same offseason. Adding someone prior to the season wasn't going to happen. But when the Bills were in thick of contending for the 1 seed and exceeding expectations, they saw Cooper having almost no money left on his contract and went after him to keep adding to the WR room that had just begun a rebuild and lacked proven boundary WR. I mean these are important details as to the why - and quite honestly, all 4 times were exactly what you want to see from your GM. Beane was aggressive at times when the team was exceeding expectations (2017) even though we were set to enter a full rebuild...then aggressive at going all in on Allens development (Diggs), and aggressive when we had a young team who was now a new contender (Sanders). And last year, when the team was proving to still be one of the best in what was supposed to a mini cap reset season, he was aggressive when he identified someone he could add without setting back that cap reset and we could afford in our cap. I feel like you are presenting Beane going after moves like this as a negative - and quite frankly, I think its exactly what I want in a GM. One not afraid to sit still, not afraid to be aggressive even if the move is opposite of the main plan (like adding KB before we were about tear it all down), aggressive on developing our QB, etc etc. So for me...I love that about Beane, the guy who doesn't just sit back and isn't afraid to make moves to help the team keep contending or get over the top. Even if one doesn't always agree with each move, I just thrilled our GM isn't willing to make them as we didn't have that for almost 2 decades and not a lot of other teams have that either.
  3. It’s not an excuse. It’s just what he is. No one is surprised by it. The bit about waving Nazi flags is garbage. Give us all a break with that nonsense.
  4. Rumor: Kristi Noem's ER visit was due to complications from yet another cosmetic procedure.
  5. Josh Allen is going to do to Natrol what Michael Jordan did to Nike. Pretty soon kids are going to be fighting over taking Natrol and going to sleep earlier. Josh Allen is going to help parents have more sex now.
  6. Kent has been jonys drummer the last 30 years Probably a soon to be induction in the Buffalo music HoF
  7. I don’t think he’s racist either. But oh man when you’re the party that constantly gets accused of it, his “excuse” of not having self control gets old quick when he picks Juneteenth to say there are too many federal holidays. And I believe things like that help light the fire of the extreme MAGAs (the small minority who do wave swastika flags along side their Trump flags), the same way when he says “fight” those pinheads do just that, literally and not in the polls. At some point he needs to realize he’s a grown adult and his toddler-level lack of self control hurts the country. He might not have self control, but he isn’t stupid, and he knows what he’s doing. And that - to me - is unacceptable.
  8. I don't know where Stephen Miller got his law degree,* but the constitutional guarantee of due process has never been limited to citizens facing criminal charges. That's why the U.S. government can't deprive someone - anyone - of life, liberty, or property without due process of law. Life. Liberty. Even property. It's kind of right there in the 5th Amendment. *Trick question: he doesn't have one.
  9. Yeah, I mean imagine if instead of being useless detriments to the offense in that championship game they were difference makers instead. They would likely have won by multiple scores instead of that whimpering finish where they turned the ball over on downs the last two possessions. That's really the primary semi-realistic hope for positive change for the team when it comes to getting thru the AFC playoffs for once and hopefully winning a SB. Thinking their free agent signings bounce back from the disappointing seasons they all had in 2024 is probably false hope given the track record of free agent signing in the NFL as a whole. Expecting this years draft picks to make a significant impact is generally A LOT to ask. Coleman, Bishop and Carter from last year are prime examples. No help to the team at all down the stretch or in the playoffs. But second and third year "first" picks who have shown real glimpses of talent are where you can realistically hope to gain the most.
  10. How ‘bout Those Idiots?
  11. You want the job? Check with Simon, maybe he’s hiring.
  12. I don't know, Kay, because while Iran was potentially compliant during v1.0, they clearly were not compliant after being compliant. In addition, it seems logical to question the arbiters of compliance, given Iran's wax on/wax off approach rot being good international citizens. It seems more likely to me that they are playing a big game, moving forward with the intent to secure nuclear capability. Ah, so you were not talking at all about the US government/intelligence apparatus covertly encouraging regime change. It seems to me that a fundamentalist regime like Iran would not be comfortable as all with allowing the Tok (et al) and western decadence into the homeland. CKA shows way too much skin for the average extremist, I would think, and they view that as a whorish non-negotiable and far beyond the pale. Maybe, though. As to Israel, you've beaten that drum loudly and clearly, and at some point to me you cross from sensible citizen of the world to...well, to something I'm not interested in debating.
  13. Well I, married me a wife, she's been trouble all my life Run me, out in the cold rain and snow Rain and snow, run me, out in the cold rain and snow Well she's coming down the stairs, combin' back her yellow hair And I, ain't goin be treated this ol' way Well she went up to her room, where she sang her faithful tune Well I'm, goin where those chilly winds don't blow
  14. Better than my liver on game days.
  15. Everybody can say what they want about Cam Newton The dresses weird he's a clown etc But he absolutely has a friendly high energy personality.. he was always known as a terrific teammate to his own guys His charity has given over 5 million dollars to schools He's been Carolina Panthers Walter Payton recipient He holds football camps for kids through high schoolers He's not out there beating up his wife or kids.. he's not out there driving 115 miles an hour crashing and killing people.. not drinking and driving... Cam Newton is a legend in Charlotte and changed plenty of kids lives.. that alone makes me not dislike him
  16. Not since O.J. have we had a pitchman this powerful.
  17. What in the holy hell are you talking about? My God you people are completely lost. For tips on surviving the Trump era, I propose transferring funds from the LGBTWWIKB+ hotline and set up a 24/7 TDS one.
  18. There’s about 100,00,000 that would disagree with you. My wife even thinks he’s hot. I told her whatever floats your boat. She doesn’t even like football as she’s chinese, but loves watching my Bills games as she loves Josh.
  19. They have also kept 7 a couple of times though.
  20. He seems to be clogging the pipeline of wide receiver talent flow.
  21. First day of summer
  22. Fast, on a rough road riding High, through the mountains climbing Twisting, turning further from my home Young, like a new moon rising Fierce, through the rain and lightning Wandering out into this great unknown And I don't want no one to cry But, tell them if I don't survive I was born free! I was born free! I was born free, born free
  23. The Bills often only keep 5.
  24. 4th time, no? Traded for KB, tried to trade for Diggs midseason, tried to trade for Sanders midseason, traded for Cooper midseason. Not to mention bring back Beasley and Brown in the dog days of 2022. In 8 seasons, Beane has chased the “midseason WR acquisition” at least 50% of the time.
  25. No, not helpful. I also don’t believe he is a racist. That’s such an easy word for people, mostly liberals, to throw around. The pinheaded Roundybout believes that a full 50% of the people he encounters on a daily basis are racists. What I believe Trump is, is a provocateur with no self control. If there’s a pot to stir, he’s the first one on it. I will leave the accusations of racism to those that are so comfortable making them.
