always a “confidence” thing with Allen it’s getting old
-
Interesting take - I agree with much of it, and disagree in other areas. I wouldn't want the owner stepping in and holding top brass accountable mid-season, as a matter of routine. For the reason that Terry is an oil/business man, and not a man versed in the x's and o's of the game, nor with the front office of a football club. That is why he hires others who are experts in these fields to put the pieces in place to become a championship caliber club. And - for many years they were on that precipice. As you note however - he did exactly this with the Sabres, and it was too much, too often. It put the players in a position to never be able to align themselves with coaches and systems. It also painted the Sabres, and rightfully so, as a last resort for GM's or head coaches to go to. Set up to fail. I think the answer, as with most things, lies somewhere in the middle. There needs to be a post-season analysis by Terry of the philosophies instilled by Beane and McDermott, and an explanation as to why it seemingly shifted so abruptly starting with last year on offense. I don't think fans would have a negative knee jerk reaction to any changes made to Beane or Mcdermott. There's been enough time on the docket for both. And the rest of the league similarly wouldn't have a negative reaction either. I hate to say it but it may be time. I hope I'm proven wrong this year.

Once again, I'm proud that Tim Kaine is my senator. Pragmatic as always, he put the ;people over politics. He realized that losing the battle is better than losing the war which continues in the midterms.

Yeah, agree. Josh credits Daboll for making him the NFL QB he is. Allen deserves an offensive head coach as we start the new chapter in the new stadium, especially one he trusts so much. McDermott's expiration date has long passed, much like the Chobani yogurts in my fridge.

I mean, both can be true. The WRs are not good enough and Josh is still making plays. Anyone who says we don’t need more talent there is just in denial I used to think they had enough talent. Three games in particular this year have showed that’s simply not the case. Maybe if Palmer comes back? But right now, they are simply not good enough and/or not being schemed open

You know man, I just disagree.
-
swap him in for Brady this week.
-
Other teams fans come here, to this post, and laugh at us. Anybody giving this actual credibility is a moron, sorry.
-
Agree. We need someone to stand up to and challenge McDermott. Go focus on the D dude. We also need someone to get the best out of Josh.

Hate to say this … but the Pats are effing good

The Pats have a better coach! Leading to better overall coaching top to bottom. McDermott and his staffs time has come to an end. I’m sorry. I can’t anymore. He’s not the guy, knew it 4-5 years ago, but here we are singing the same song! -
Re: no 7. You're probably not gonna like the new Highmark experience either...
-
I’d say bring him back to work with Josh more than anything. You don’t have to fire people but maybe as a supplement to Brady. If McDermott has an issue with by all means fire him. Any reason to get a new voice in the defensive room is cool by me.
-
Playing nearly error free on offense and getting so many turnovers on defense seemed to have given the HC and GM the false idea that they could just run it back and lean even more into the running game.

Does Buffalo have a chapter of Rageaholics Anonymous?
-
I don’t think Belicheater will be able to cheat like he did before, so it likely would end horribly
-
Wow. Bring him back...Bring him.... 😁
-
He’s a mess now for sure. But pretend you’re the Pegulas. For whom are they nuking Sean, who has a lengthy, rich contract and is another bill to pay (no pun) while fronting huge money for a stadium. Unless Josh says him or me, they aren’t dumping him for just anyone. Belichick is one of the only people I can think of for whom they might make the move. (I wouldn’t, FTR, but I’m trying to think like them.)

I’d love to get Daboll back. I also wonder if their GM is next? Our drafting seems to have suffered since he left
