Adding the 17th game and the 7th playoff team was nothing more than a money grab. 1 team with a bye is stupid. I don't care what anyone says. They will soon go to 18 games with 8 teams in the playoffs. You watch and see.

Their OL is suspect but so is our DL. It’s not like the Texans or Dolphins have some world beater OLs. What makes you think that’s strength on weakness? Our teams biggest strengths are our QB, our RB and our OL, maybe in that order. and a banged up OL affects all of them, especially against the teeth of what makes that Pittsburgh D go. Is one handed Rodgers and the Steelers O any worse than the Texans backup QB or the 1-5 Dolphins?

Yeah that's pretty much what I thought it was nowadays. But I was never really into the Black Friday shopping thing at any point in my life so don't have much first hand knowledge on the shopping trends

Going to 18 games (even with another bye) will only make things worse. The starters don't play preseason as it is. Cutting out preseason for more in-season games is too much for these guys. Add playoffs and the total season is now pushing 7 months. It's too violent of a sport for these guys to keep healthy. Dressing a few more low-impact players is not going to drop the snap count for the key starters at all. Trubisky is not going to spell Josh Allen not will any other important player. All this for an extra 2 weeks when? In the summer before Labor Day or do we play games outdoors throughout January and into February. @Augie is right. It's just about money and IMO it is diluting the sport.

Am I missing something? I fully understand the Bills weaknesses, I get that they are starting two backup tackles. The Steelers however are not a great team, Rogers is a not what he once was, he’s playing with a broken wrist. Do they have much of a running game, isn’t their OL, particularly its depth suspect? On defense they have a great pass rush, but it’s their secondary bad?

If the NFL could, they would schedule games 7 days a week 365 days a year.

At a certain point, keeping in extra blockers benefits the defense more than the offense imo

What they should try to do is schedule byes around the Thursday games. No playing on 4 days rest. Only teams coming off a bye play Thursdays. As much as possible, of course. Can't have that in week 2 obviously. And they'd never do it, but it would be great to go back to 16 games. For someone who's a bit ocd when it comes to numbers, 16 is perfect.

God I so agree with this. They had 24 draft picks in just 23 and 24. If you go to the link, and look under the G column for games, these picks have played a lot of games.
