  1. Past hour
  2. Boy, that Belichick is really revolutionizing college football.
  3. I'm going to bow out here, because I touched a nerve. Tensions are high due to playoff baseball and other reasons. The reason I responded how I did was the insinuation that I, as a native-born Buffalonian, should be happy if the Leafs get McDavid and win a Cup. Last time I checked, Buffalo still nominally has an NHL team.
  4. No. Just disappointed in you as a representative of Denmark or wherever you’re from. Sad. Very sad. Sad.
  5. As someone who regrets missing the hippie era by just a tad, my philosophy is: Build bridges, not walls, Make love, not war. Kissing ass is better than kicking ass - except of course in war and football.
  6. Rousseau hasn't made a play in 4 games. Johnson is getting up there in age. Oliver makes a difference a few games per year.
  7. @Shaw66, you are all that is right about being a Bills fan here on TBD. Thank you for putting in the time and effort to write this book and for The Rockpile Review which I look forward to weekly. Your contributions to being a fan are very appreciated.
  8. Remove the illegal aliens as soon as possible is the obvious solution...
  9. I would never switch allegiances, nor would any of the real Bills fans that’l I know in Canada. I am about to get a Bills themed.tattoo sleeve. Committed to the core. Fair. All fair. I don’t like being grouped into fans who would switch allegiances. Never in my life.
  10. Nobody disputed the fact that there are a lot of Bills fans in Canada. But that doesn't transfer to us being fans of other "regional" teams. If you are trying to say that most people in Buffalo are Blue Jays fans, that is just wrong. The Bisons have been the AAA affiliate of a lot of MLB teams, including Cleveland and the Mets. And most people I know in Buffalo are Yankee fans if they care about baseball at all. This is mostly due to Buffalo getting Yankee games, not Jays games, on local cable during the 80's and 90's. I don't know what the situation is now, but my dad watched every Yankees game on local TV until he passed a few years ago. I'm not saying that Canadian Bills fans are lesser fans, but the idea that there is a natural connection between the Bills and Blue Jays is simply not correct. And the OP was arguing that the we should all be happy if McDavid goes to the Leafs? I suppose we should all be happy when Ontario invades Buffalo twice a year and starts fights with Sabres fans in their own building. I know the Sabres suck, but I still hate the Leafs.
  11. Overhaul? No. Buffalo still has a lot of very valuable pieces on defense. Tweaked ? Yes. They need to get bigger in certain areas, but players like Bosa, Oliver, Rousseau, Benford, Bernard, Deone Walker, and Taron Johnson could all start on most NFL teams. The Bills also have 2 gigantic rookie DTs. The jury is still out on Hairston and the rest of the rookie defenders. I think people are judging a very small sample size. It’s a young defense. Give them time to adjust. Even veteran FAs need time to gel with their teammates. I think they we will see a different defense towards the 2nd half of the season.
  12. Fangirl perspective. Going into Sundays game I would like to see a game with fewer penalties than last week. Control the lines of scrimmage Easy Peasy right? Not really. Not in the NFL. As last week illustrated to me winning in the NFL is never a gimme and rarely easy. I would love to see Keon Coleman get some quality looks and receptions I would also love to see our TE's go off whichever Bill happens to get the ball from #17 On defense I would love to see guys step up that have been somewhat silent in flash stats (Epenesa , Groot Im looking at you) Undefeated would be SWEET GO BILLS
  13. Personally, I think it's awesome that Allen is the QB that other teams are using as their metric. I wouldn't want it any other way!
  14. I think it is a combination of bad coaching along with bad players. This secondary is brutally bad. Rapp looks like he is afraid to hit anyone due to his concussion history. I watched him on a play where Kamara received a pitch out to the right and he was running up to make the play and instead of angling in towards the runner he engaged his blocker. It looked like he could have easily got around the blocker chose to engage the blocker. There is something very wrong with Rapp. Tre has lost a step or 2. Benford has regressed a bit. He is giving up tds like they are Halloween candy. Bishop is decent but not great. They need a full fundamental change in defensive coaching philosophy with the players they have. Whatever they are trying to do it isn't working. I don't think the suspended players make much of a difference, in my opinion. We need to overhaul this defense in the off season.
  15. I'm not a paid provider, hospital employee or stock holder. That dog won't hunt. The potential for hospital closures threatens everyone to one degree or another. No idea. likely billions, lots of Americans without any health insurance. It's mostly the working poor. look it up and let me know the number.
  16. How much would it be without illegal aliens?
  17. Hi friends. I'm seeking two good seats for the upcoming Bills-Panthers game. Thank you. GO BILLS !
  18. You have high hopes for Gabriel? I think Minnesota wins. They have been overseas for two weeks, and a 1st time starter is going against an aggressive defense that is great at showing different looks to confuse a QB
  19. Bills score 31 for a third time in a row for the win. Pats cover. Bills 31 Pats 27
  20. Cool. His cross does.
  21. This is pretty tone deaf. As a Canadian, and a devout fan since 1988, I have joined so many Canadians in going to Bills games ( over 50 home and away so far), buying Bills gear and supporting this team for most of my life. If you don’t think that the fan base is extremely far reaching, you should come to my city of 300,000 people on the West Coast of Canada and see how many Bills fans you meet when you walk around wearing a Bills hat or Bills shirt or a jersey. The Blue Jays AAA team is located in Buffalo. It’s much easier to drive to Toronto than it is to drive to New York City. And, Blue Jays fans have much more in common with Bills fans than Yankees fans do. Known as friendly and welcoming people and inclusive to all of those that come to the city and the stadium is exactly what we know our Bills fans to be. By and large, that is Blue Jays fans. Go to a Yankees game and tell me the same.
  22. After Burrow's injury I'd say the divisions are about equal this year. Steelers = Patriots Bengals < Dolphins Browns > Jets That's how I'd stack it. We should be big Steelers fans the rest of the season. They have no chance at the #1 seed but they have a real chance of keeping Baltimore out of the playoffs entirely. If they can beat Baltimore once they just need to go 7-5 in the rest of their games to end 11-6 and that is probably enough to take the division.
  23. Today
  24. No doubt. But there was no need for the Bills to say anything. Also, how many of those Toronto and Southern Ontario Bills fans remain Bills fans if Toronto were to get an NFL team? As you say, that border becomes thick when there is an option on your side of it.
  25. I have a hard time understanding the bail system, especially with violent/sexual crimes. It is idiotic letting (probable) violent offenders back to the streets in exchange for money while awaiting trial. If they are dangerous they need to be behind bars in jail. I can understand using a bail system with crimes like tax fraud etc. that take a long time to investigate and where there is little risk of the suspect "ruining" the investigation if not in jail. But for rape, murder etc? Idiotic. (We actually agree on something? Feels a bit scary.)
